1 Allen University Microsoft Office 365 Here's what you need to know to complete the transition On December 18 at 5:00pm, the University will complete the migration to Office 365, a new version of the hosted services that provide Outlook and calendaring to the University's faculty, staff, administrators, and students Office 365 provides each user with cloud for documents and storage for account, a revamped Web Access experience ( easier integration with the latest smart phones and tablets, increased service reliability, and more. How to access your account. 1. Open any web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) 2. Go to one of the following web addresses and click on links Students will have link on Desktop when logged into university computers 3. Employees that use Microsoft Outlook client on their desktops can call IT Helpdesk to get assistance on configuring the Outlook Client. Make sure you enter you entire address on the following page. 9 Set up Exchange on an Apple iphone, ipad, or ipod Touch 1. If this is the first account on your iphone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account. 2. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account. 3. Tap Microsoft Exchange. 4. You don t need to type anything in the Domain box. Type the information requested in the , Username, and Password boxes. You need to type your full address in the and Username boxes (for example, username@allenuniversity.edu or username@stu.allenuniversity.edu). 5. Tap NEXT on the upper-right corner of the screen. Your mail program will try to find the settings it needs to set up your account. Go to step 8 if your mail program finds your settings. 6. If your iphone can t find your settings, you ll need to manually setup. Use outlook.office365.com for your server name. In the Server box, enter your server name, and then tap NEXT. 7. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize between your account and your device, and then touch Save. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized. 8. If you're prompted to create a passcode, tap Continue and type a numeric passcode. If you don t set up a passcode, you can t view your account on your iphone. You can set up a passcode later your iphone settings.

10 Set up Microsoft Exchange on an Android 1. From the Applications menu, select . This application may be named Mail on some versions of Android. 2. Type your full address, for example or and your password, and then select NEXT. 3. Select Exchange account. This option may be named Exchange ActiveSync on some versions of Android. 4. Enter the following account information and select NEXT. 5. Domain\Username Type your full address in this box. If Domain and Username are separate text boxes in your version of Android, leave the Domain box empty and type your full address in the Username box. 6. NOTE On some versions of Android, you must use the domain\username format. For example, if your address is type Your username is your full address. 7. Password Use the password that you use to access your account. 8. Exchange Server Use outlook.office365.com for your server name. 9. As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the Account Options screen displays. The options available depend on the version of Android on your device. The options may include the following:

Select NEXT and then type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send to others. Select Done to complete the setup and start using your account.
