1 BYOD Instructions for Android Devices Before You Begin Android Requirement 1. You must set a 6-character device passcode (it can be pattern (must have 6 dots), pin or password) 2. Your Android device OS must be at version 4.0 or higher. 3. You must have a valid Play Store account 4. You must enable Allow Non Market App Installation (go to settings and look in the security section for "unknown sources") 5. You must turn off WiFi and "auto-connect" on your device before enrolling (you can re-enable WiFi and "auto-connect" once enrollment is complete) 6. You should turn off any Power Saving mode* option on your device. Power Saving modes can cause the enrollment to fail. * Power saving mode can vary depending on device Manufacturer. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has two power saving modes: Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode. Disable both. 7. Your Android Device cannot be "jailbroken", "rooted" or "compromised". You will not be able to register your device through Mortenson's Mobile Device Management software. If the device is "jailbroken", "rooted" or "compromised" after enrollment, an alert is received by the system administrator, who will wipe all Mortenson data from the device and un-enroll it. Enrollment Process (This document details the enrollment process on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Other device makes/models and OS versions may be slightly different, however the process is in general the same.) 1. Download and install Microsoft s Intune Company Portal Open the Play Store on your device In the store, search for Intune Company Portal. Install the application.

2 2. Open Company Portal and Begin Configuration Open Company Portal Click Sign in Enter your Mortenson address, then click into the Password field. You will be redirected to the Mortenson single sign-on page.

Once you get two green checkboxes, press Continue. Your device must be compliant before you can continue. Contact the ITS Helpdesk if you have any questions. The official Microsoft Outlook app is designed for Android devices to help you manage your , calendar, contacts, and attachments. Go to section A if you want to use the default apps on your device. Go to section B for instructions on how to install and configure the Microsoft Outlook App. Either or both options will work. A. Default , calendar and contact configuration We aren t able to create detailed instructions for each type of Android device, so use the below steps as a guideline. The below instructions were created using a Samsung Galaxy S5. Go to your default app. Choose a Corporate Account (Samsung Galaxy S5) Enter your Mortenson address and your Network/Citrix password, then select Manual Setup 7
