There are not expected to be any significant differences with other ios devices apart from pre-iphone 4 models which run ios 6. Even then the fundamental information is the same. 4 Android configuration for Leedsbeckett domain As a prerequisite, you are require to have a passcode to access the device from the lock screen before you can install the Exchange account on your Android Device. 1. On your device, go to Settings 2. Go to accounts 3. Select Corporate or Leedsmet depending what the account has previously been called. 4. On the next page, select the address to move to the next screen. 5. Select the three dots on the top right of the screen. 6. Select Remove Account 7. Confirm by pressing Remove Account on the pop up box. 8. The Leedsmet account will then be removed from your Android device. During this period your University s, calendar, contacts and notes will be unavailable. 9. Return to the settings page and select Add Account 10. Then select Corporate 11. Enter your details as below: o - Enter your i.e. heckma02@leedsbeckett.ac.uk o Password Your University password 12. Select Next 13. The Account type is Exchange. 14. Accept the defaults by clicking Next 15. Rename the account to Leedsbeckett and click on Finish setup 16. This should be all you need to enter for your new account to work. However, on certain models you may be required to enter your details manually. When this happens: 17. Select Edit details o For the Server, enter eas.leedsbeckett.ac.uk then scroll down and click Next o Click OK for the Remote security administration dialogue 18. Select Next 19. On the Pop-up screen, click Next 20. The Leedsbeckett account will then appear on your list of accounts. 21. If you have more than one account on your device, ensure you set the Leedsbeckett account as the Default Account for your Mail, Contacts and Calendar by doing the following: o Mail Each mailbox will have its own icon. You may wish to put it onto the home screen to make access to it easier. o Calendar Select the Calendar icon and all the calendars that you are subscribed to will be there, in different colours. If you just want to see the Leedsbeckett calendar, then select the three vertical dots in the top right hand side of the screen. Select Settings from the drop down list. Choose any account listed other than Leedsbeckett and deselect as necessary. The calendar will then only show the relevant accounts

5 o Contacts Select People from the homepage and then select the three vertical dots in the top right hand side of the screen. Pick Contacts to display and select the radio button for your Leedsbeckett account rather that All Accounts. This configuration documentation was created with an Google Nexus with Android KitKat Operating System. There are many variations of Android available depending on the version and device make but the information above is relevant to all models even if the pathway to make the changes are different. Select the three dots on the top right of the screen and then select Remove account 5. Confirm you wish to Remove account and then return to the settings page and select Add account 6. Confirm by pressing Delete on the pop up box. 6. The Leedsmet account will then be removed from your Windows device. During this period your University s, calendar, contacts and notes will be unavailable. The mail icon will also disappear from your home screen. 7. Select add an account 8. Then select Exchange (or Outlook, depending on which version of Windows phone you are using) 9. Enter your details as below: o - Enter your i.e. heckma02@leedsbeckett.ac.uk o Password Your University password 10. Select Sign in 11. Select done on the next screen 12. The Leedsbeckett account will then appear on your list of accounts. 13. The mail icon will also re-appear at the bottom of the home screen. Press and hold to resize and/or move to the previous location. 14. On the Calendar App, press the three dots in the bottom right hand corner, then select Settings. Then turn off any other accounts to ensure that only the LeedsBeckett account will show on the Calendar. 15. On the People App, press the three dots in the bottom right hand corner, then select Settings. Select filter my contact list and deselect any other accounts showing to ensure that only the LeedsBeckett contacts will show in the people list.
