3 1. INTRODUCTION Aviva Wrap have formed relationships with IFAs that use Adviser Office as their central Client Management System. The new e-services integration will supply the most up to date valuation data on a daily download from Aviva Wrap into Adviser Office. The latest version of the e-services module in conjunction with the v7.2 release of Adviser Office will include integration with Aviva Wrap for bulk valuations. This integration will allow users to import a file containing all of their Aviva Wrap registered holdings, along with the latest unit position and price. Cash balances are also provided. This Provider Guide describes the Aviva Wrap e-services function and should be read in conjunction with the e-services User Guide v REGISTERING FOR THE VALUATION SERVICE The Aviva Wrap Service will supply valuations on request. Typically this will run on a daily basis. e- Services will download data directly from the Aviva website for clients held with Aviva Wrap. In order to access the service you will need to use a login with administrator rights to all of your firm s data, you must use your Aviva Firm Principal Login. Initially you will need to contact Aviva on platformservices@aviva.co.uk or call the Aviva Adviser Services Team on (Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm), to set up the necessary access. If you only have Aviva for Adviser access you will be sent details on how to register the Principal Login. Logging in to generate your Principle Password Log in to the Aviva Wrap and follow the six simple steps below. This should take you no longer than five minutes to complete. Step 1: Contact Platform Services (PS) and ask for your PW to be reset or to be registered for the Wrap site. The PS team will then issue an to you to enable you to click on the link in the and reset your PW for the Wrap. Step 2: Log on to and click the 'Adviser Login' button Step 3: Click on the link to activate your Aviva Wrap account. Step 4: Type in the Principle Username and Registration ID in the Username and Registration ID fields we have sent you, along with your address. Step 5: Next, type in a new password of your choice. For security, you will need to enter this password twice and it will need to be at least eight characters long. Enter submit and you will now be registered Step 6: You are now ready to use this Principle Username in eservices.

4 3. CONFIGURATION OPTIONS Once eservices has been updated to the latest version, Aviva will appear within the e-business Suite e-services - Provider Messaging. The Aviva Wrap Configuration options are detailed below:

5 To manually trigger the service, users will simply need to go into the Configuration Screen, set the Next Run date to today s date, the time to when to start, change the status to Active, and select OK. The service will then look for the data downloaded from Aviva Wrap. To refresh the screen, Right Click and select Refresh. Next Run The Date and Time the feed will run automatically. Run Now Select this option to run the feed immediately. Run Frequency the data will be produced by Aviva Wrap on a daily basis but you have the choice on how often to run the feed. The recommended frequency is Daily. Status Reports the current status of the feed. The default is Suspended. Service Parameters Auto Add Cash Accounts - the default value is set to Yes. If set to Yes e-services will attempt to auto create any Cash Accounts that do not already exist on Adviser Office; if it set to No, any messages that refer to Cash Accounts that are not on Adviser Office, will be treated as Exceptions. Auto Add Instruments - the default value is set to No. If set to Yes e-services will attempt to auto create any Instruments that do not already exist on Adviser Office; if it set to No, any messages that refer to Instruments that are not on Adviser Office, will be treated as Exceptions. Auto Add Plans - the default value is set to No. If set to Yes e-services will attempt to auto create any Plans that do not already exist on Adviser Office; if it set to No, any messages that refer to Plans that are not on Adviser Office, will be treated as Exceptions. NB: it will only be possible to auto create Plans if the relevant Scheme has also been set up. See section on External Scheme Names Auto Update Plans This allows e-services to update the policy information added from the provider data where available if set to Yes. The default is set to No which prevents the e-services link amending policy data once the plan is created or linked. Instrument Price Update Only Default value is set to Yes. This allows e-services to only amend the unit price of an instrument provided by the feed. If set to No the Unit Name and any other details provided by the feed will be added to AO. Local Data Directory this refers to the location where e-services should save the Aviva Wrap data into. This location can be on the server or on the user s PC. Iress recommend that the files are saved to the 1st 32 Directory, so for example, you may set up the following directory: \\Server\1stdir32\Aviva\. NB: e-services does not delete the file once it has been downloaded, although logic has been applied to ensure that the file is not downloaded twice. Therefore it is the responsibility of each Adviser Firm and User to maintain the contents of this file, for example deleting old files. Remove Instrument Holdings no longer held Default value is set to Yes. Any instruments reported by Aviva Wrap in the current file are retained; however any holdings on a policy linked to Aviva Wrap that are no longer in the data file are removed. When set to No, any sales, switches and any other disposal of units must be recorded manually. Service User User Name required to access the Aviva Wrap Service. In order to access the service you will need the login details provided by Aviva. See contact details for further information.

See contact details for further information. 4. CHOOSING THE RIGHT SETTINGS e-services will try and locate existing information on your database before trying to create new records. To avoid duplicate records amend the options to reflect what data that is missing, e.g. if you do not have any plans setup under Aviva Wrap, enable the option to create plans. If you have some of the plans setup, set this option initially to False to avoid duplicates. The Feed will also try and use existing fund holdings records within the Investment History for plans. If you wish to use this function please make sure that you have the correct SEDOL or ISIN codes setup on your database. To automatically add these codes to your Unit Price Records please use the Unit Price Linker. Further details can be found within Adviser Office under Help Index - Maintaining 1st Services. 5. DOWNLOADING THE VALUATION DATA You are now ready to run the Aviva Wrap service and download the valuation data. Please right click on Aviva and select Configure Service, then tick the Run Now tickbox as below to import the data.

7 6. EXTERNAL SCHEME NAMES In order for e-services to correctly create Plans, Aviva Wrap Schemes must be set up with the correct External Scheme Names otherwise an exception will be returned. Please check the Scheme Links as other providers may use the same name. REFERENCE NUMBERS The 3 letter abbreviation for Aviva Wrap is AVA. Clients The Aviva Wrap Client Reference will be used to generate a Unique Client Identifier. Therefore the reference , would generate a Client Reference Number of AVA-IND Should this need to be linked it can be associated to the relevant client when viewing the exceptions. Alternatively this can be linked against the client for the data to appear in the Compliance Details/Third Party table. Please note this is only required if you are automatically creating plans using the feed. Policies We recommend that the Aviva Wrap Policy Number is simply added to the Adviser Office Policy Number field. The Aviva Wrap Policy number will be used to generate the e-services Ref. Therefore a policy number of , would generate an e-services Reference of AVA-PLA

8 If the policy number is setup on AO correctly, the feed will find the policy automatically. Should this need to be linked it can be associated to the relevant policy when viewing the exceptions. Alternatively this reference could be entered in the Third Party References field as an e-services third party reference in Plan Review. Instruments The Aviva Wrap feed uses SEDOL and ISIN codes to identify Unit Price records. These are available via the Financial Express data feed when creating new Unit Price records. If these codes are missing but you have MEX, EPIC or CITI codes, they can be added using the Unit Price Linker.
