The integrated system includes GP, an inertial navigation system and high resolution, stereo digital cameras Positioning: Combines Differential GP, IN and DMI using the Kalman procedure to provide position and orientation (< 20cm, < 1 degree orientation) tereo Vision for asset mapping to better the 1 m RM Video Based Asset Data Collection at NJDOT 10

11 DEPARTMENT TRANPORTATION JEREY Feature Extraction oftware A state-of of-the-art GI-oriented program. Locate features from images covering up to 60 degrees of panoramic view,, and is designed to meet GI standards Create and modify user definable project information and feature definition files at any time during processing Position visible features with absolute horizontal error of not more than 1 meter at 35 meters in front of the cameras Organizes features in layers with user-selected selected symbols defined as a point, line, polyline or area feature type. Unlimited attributes can be tagged to any feature. Video Based Asset Data Collection at NJDOT 11

12 DEPARTMENT TRANPORTATION JEREY Feature Extraction oftware Cont d Adds, edits or deletes features and attributes upports more than 25 map projects, 174 datum and 4 measurement systems Measures heights, widths and offsets within individual images with a relative linear accuracy of 20 cm at 35 m in front of the cameras. Relative measurements made within 10 meters of the cameras will have a horizontal accuracy of 6 to 10 cm. Exports data to many major GI or CAD systems, including ARC/INFO, Microtation / MGE, AutoCAD ADE, mallworld, Vision, MapInfo as well as relational data bases such as Oracle, Informix, ybase, Access Video Based Asset Data Collection at NJDOT 12
