1 Options Laptop Training Agenda (Samsung phone) Section A: Step 1 Logging onto Laptop When you first turn on the laptop a welcome screen will come up 1

2 After the welcome screen appears - Simultaneously press the Ctrl, Alt and Del keys - A windows log in screen will appear. Enter your username (your first name and the first initial of your last name) and your password You are now logged onto the laptop 2

3 Step 2 * Note: If you have internet access at home proceed to step 14 Initiate HotSpot on Cell Phone Log on to Cell Phone swipe and put in password or finger print 3

4 Step 3 Tap on the Apps icon 4

5 Step 4 Tap on Mobile Hotspot Icon 5

6 Step 5 Tap on the OFF Icon to turn on the Hotspot (To turn off tap on icon again) 6

7 Step 6 Tap OK 7

8 The below screen will appear on your Cell Phone This information will be used in steps 9 and 11 below Per the below screen, your password will be a different color then the other text. All characters are required, including special characters examples (&$@+ 8

9 Step 7 Connect Laptop to HotSpot (Cell Phone) Click on Wi-Fi button located on the bottom right side of your laptop screen 9

10 Step 8 If you are connected to your cell phone you will see a screen similar to this one that lists the connection as Connected, secure. This should also match your phone. If this is what you see skip to step 13 - if not, proceed to step 9 10

11 Step 9 A list of available networks will be displayed Choose the network name that matches the one that is displayed on your cell phone Screen shot on next page 11

13 Step 10 Put a check mark on Connect automatically then click Connect This means when you start your laptop, the laptop will automatically connect to the Hot Spot on your phone. 13

14 Step 11 Enter your Network Security Key the network security key is the password on your cell phone Screen shot on next page Per the below screen shot (Page 15), your password will be a different color then the other text. 16 Step 12 Click on No 16

17 The below screen is what you should see. Connected, secured is the indicator that your laptop is now connected to your cell phone Click anywhere outside this box to close it Once you have completed Section A steps 1 13 you will be logged onto the laptop and your laptop will be connected to your cell phone Hot Spot Tips: Having the Hot Spot on drains more power from the phone. While in a consumer s home you can plug your laptop into an outlet and plug the phone into the laptop to maintain more power for both your laptop and cell phone 17

18 Step 13 Initiating Remote Connection - VPN Click on the VPN icon on your computer desktop 18

19 Step 14 Log on to VPN using your first name and the first initial of your last name (Name:) Password is the same one you used in step 1 on page 1 (Password:) Step 15 Click on Connect 19

23 Step 1 Preparing Documents from Zuke Double click Zuke icon 23

24 Step 2 Enter your username and password for Zuke Step 3 Locate Your Consumer 24

26 Step 5 Click on appropriate type of PDF document Step 6 Click on Create Icon 26

27 Step 7 Click on PDF icon This icon will be located on the bottom left side of your screen Step 8 Save document to Desktop Click on icon located on the upper left side of screen 27

28 Step 9 Click on Desktop Icon Rename file in File Name box Click Save 28

29 Step 10 Minimize Zuke Click on the - icon located on the top right part of your screen Your Zuke PDF is now ready to use from your Desktop 29

30 Signatures and saving document Step 11 Signing Document Open the Document (Double click on the Document) 30

31 Step 12 Touch the screen on the document and hold your finger on it until the Options bar appears 31

34 Step 15 Sign the document If signature is acceptable tap Add Signature If not tap clear to clear signature and re-sign 34

35 Step 16 Position signature to the correct spot of the document and tap Done 35

36 Saving Your Document to the Desktop Step 17 Tap on the 3 horizontal bars located on the top left of screen Step 18 Tap App Commands 36

37 Step 19 Tap Save ** Document is now signed and saved to your desktop not the server yet 37

38 Step 20 Close Document by Tapping on the on X located in the upper right corner of your screen 38

39 Saving Final PDF Document to Server for QA Step 21 Right Click on the Document on your Desktop 39

40 Step 22 Click Copy 40

41 Step 23 Right Click on the Server Folder Icon 41

42 Step 24 Click Paste A copy of the file will be moved to the server folder. The original file will remain of your desktop. Do not delete the original until you receive confirmation that your file has been QA d and moved to Laserfiche. 42

43 Your Final Document is Now on the Server and Ready for QA How to change your Windows password You will receive an that your password is ready to expire To Change your password (NOTE: This MUST be done BEFORE your existing password expires) Make sure you are connected to VPN 1. Perform steps 1 7 in Section A 2. Perform steps in section A 3. Simultaneously press Ctrl, Alt and Del keys 4. Choose Change a Password Here are the password requirements: 1. The password must contain at least 6 characters 2. It must contain 3 of the following 4 items Lower case letters (A-Z) Upper case letters (A-Z) Numbers (0-9) Special characters (!@#$%,...etc.) 3. Cannot contain user s username, first or last name. 43

44 NOTE: This can all be done remotely if your password hasn t already expired. 5. Disconnect From VPNC 44

45 6. Log out of Remote Access 45

46 7. Log off Laptop Right click on start menu on bottom left of desktop 46

47 8. Hover mouse over the Shutdown or sign out tab then click Sign out 9. Go back to step 1 section A using your new password 47

48 Updating the password on your phone. 1. Unlock the phone. use finger printing or pin 48

49 2. Tap on the Apps icon. 49

50 3. Look for the settings icon. 50

51 4. In settings, scroll down until you see accounts then tap on it. 51

52 5. Chose Microsoft Exchange account. 6. Tap on Settings under Common settings 52

53 7. Tap on your masscp.org account. 53

54 8. Then locate the password icon and tap there. 54

55 9. Now update your password to match the same password you log into Stanley with. 55

56 Troubleshooting Connection issues Open internet explorer and type in amazon.com 1. If the page does not load or you get page cannot be displayed you are not connected to the Internet No internet connection check cell phone 1. How many bars do you have? Require at least 3 Check Laptop for Wi-Fi Connection 1. If you are connected you should see the bars as displayed in the screen shot below Folder/server access issues Confirm internet connection. Is your server folder on your desktop? Does server folder open when you click on it? Do you see your files inside the server folder? Do you get an error when you double click on the server folder? What is it? Helpdesk Ticket 1. If none of the above resolves the issue please open a ticket with the Helpdesk at helpdesk@masscp.org, someone will respond to you as soon as possible. 2. When opening the ticket, please write a detailed explanation of the problem and include any error messages you get, this will assist us in determining first steps to a resolution. 3.
