2 1. The Story.. A car-repair shop needs to optimize dispatching tasks to the Mechanic. It is critical for the Mechanic to quickly receive from Help-desk and Chief-mechanic up-to-date lists of repairs scheduled for each car. Task-lists are currently written on paper and stored at the Help-desk. Workflow: each repair-order is processed as follows: 1.Help-desk receives orders for car-repairs and writes them down 2. Chief-mechanic specifies necessary repairs as task-lists 3. Repair tasks are performed by the Mechanic Problems: - Chief-mechanic is usually off-site requisitioning new tools and spare parts, so it is hard to collaborate with him using paper-based task-lists - Critical task-lists (deadlines, missing parts) are often updated by Help-desk and Chief-mechanic - Customers often call the Mechanic and ask about the complexity and status of repairs. Solution: We recommend implementing SAP HCP-based Fiori app to provide the Mechanic with real-time information on approved task-lists for each car, including info on materials and procedure Bonus: Because all employees already have smartphones with mobile internet flat-rate there shall be no additional hardware/internet costs ( BYOD ). Important Notice: back-end implementation and UX for users besides the Mechanic are out of scope

Current User Experience Journey Duration of the Journey: 3-15 min Mindset Nice car!.. I could give it a spin when I ve done repairs!! My hands are all dirty, again!!! Hope there won t be sudden changes on that task-list!! This car is too old, why bother repairing!? *listening to music*.. m-m-m.. nice song!! " This task-list seems odd should I double-check it with the Chief-Mechanic? I m too busy right now, this customer better call back later!! 6 5. Working App-Prototype Prerequisites: App must be installed on user s device, user-credentials must be provided. Master-View 1 Master-View 2 Detail-View 1. First screen (Master-View 1) list of cars registered for maintenance by Help-desk. User can filter/narrow-down the list by entering text in the search-field find car above the list. 2. User selects a car from the list to bring up its list of repair-task (Master-View2). User can search for tasks by entering keywords in the search-field search tasks above the list. 3. User selects particular repair-task to display its details (Details-View), where all required materials for this task and repair procedure are described in detail. Responsive design: contents of each view are automatically adjusted to the device s screen size, therefore the Master-Views 1, 2 can disappear temporarily to navigate back to previous Master- View user can select the back-button ( arrow icon in the top-left corner).

Create an app using Master-Master-Detail template, specify data-model schema and property-bindings 3. Adjust label texts, icons and other elements in each View 4. Provide Mock Data for Cars and Repair Task-Lists 5. Test app with mock-data in different resolutions to verify that all customer-requirements are met 6. Deploy app to SAP HANA Cloud Platform 7.
