1 Tablet Setup New Google Account Revised: 10/17/2014 Job Aid 1 Welcome Screen: Options that are included on this screen are Language Selection and TDD options. If the information is correct, click on the Next button at the bottom to proceed to the next screen. 2 Wi-Fi Selection: Listed are all of the wireless access points that it can find within its wireless range. Simply select the appropriate signal by clicking on it. If a password is required it will open the on screen keyboard and a place for you to enter it Tenmast Software. 2 3 Date and Time: On this screen you are able to setup the devices Date, Time and Time Zone. Simply touch the name of the option you wish to change and it will open the appropriate menu. 4 Date Selection: You can change the devices current date by selecting the correct buttons to change the corresponding fields. 3 5 Time Selection: You can change the devices current time by selecting the correct buttons to change the displayed time. If you change the time zone, it will change this displayed time as well. It is best to correct the time zone before changing the time. 6 Time Zone: You are able to change the devices Time zone. If you do not see the correct options simply place your finger on the bottom of the menu and pull it up the screen. (This is referred to as swiping. ) 2017 Tenmast Software. 4 7 License Agreement: This screen you will have two options, the first is the End User License Agreement while the second is the Samsung Error Log Data. You will have to select the terms and conditions box by touching it; this will place a checkmark within the field. The choice is yours on if you wish to send any data errors to Samsung. 8 Samsung Account Creation: If you wish to create a Samsung account you will be able to gain access to their application store. 5 9 Google Account: This screen will ask if you currently have a Google account or if you need to create one. This guide assumes that you will be creating a new Google account so you need to click on the option labeled No. You are able to have 10 devices per Google account. 10 Creating a Google Account: There are just two options on this screen. The first, labeled Get an account, is to create a new Google play account. The second option will bypass the Google Account creation by selecting Not now. 6 11 Name Entry Field: You are able to put in any data that you wish for this account and tablet to be known by. 12 Gmail Account Creation: Type the name of the Gmail account you wish to have. 7 13 Gmail Account Password: It is advised by this document to use an alpha-numeric password, but the choice is yours. If the password does not meet the requirements, it will show poor and not let you proceed. 14 Recovery Information: If you ever forget your password, you can have it sent to a specific address by answering the appropriate question. 8 15 Google+: If you wish to join Google+, click on the button labeled Join Google+. If you wish to bypass this step, click Not now. 16 Account Created: This screen has two checkboxes. The first is to turn on web history while the second is having all devices automatically update (compare to windows automatic update feature) Tenmast Software. 9 17 Authenticating: Type the letters of the image that you see. This verifies that you are a human setting the device up. 18 Entertainment: If you wish to enter a credit card for anything that is purchased from the app store you can enter it in by click on Set up credit card button. 10 19 Backup: If you wish for Google to keep track of all of your data just click the right arrow at the bottom, if you do NOT want Google to manage your data click the checkmark to uncheck the box. 20 Google and Location: There are two options on this screen: Use Wi-Fi location and Let Google apps access your location. 11 21 Dropbox: You are able to create a free Dropbox account that will hold up to 50 gigabytes of data free online via a cloud service. If you want this select the Create Account button if you do not want it click the Skip button. 22 Finished: This is the last screen of the setup, just click on the Finish button and it will complete the setup wizard Tenmast Software.
