1 Camrose County WebMap Tutorial Logon to the system: 1. Go to 2. Click on WebMap Icon 3. Click HERE for Public Access 4. Click Agree 5. Welcome to WebMap

2 Searching for a Property: There are a variety of ways of searching for a property, depending on the information you have available to you. Map Search, Roll Number, Linc Number, Local Landmark, Legal Description, Rural Address, etc. Map Search a. Hover over the portion of the county you are interested in; note that the Township information will appear. Then click on the Township you want. Once you click it will look like this: Hovering over the property will give you a legal description and the roll number. Zoom in further using the tools in the top left corner. Selecting this area, using the select box icon gives you this property.

3 Search with Searches Tool Click Searches Tab The default setting will come up with the Parcel Search Type: Search by Roll shown above. a. Roll Number Search (Roll Number is found on the Tax Certificate. Ex: ) Enter Roll Number and click Search b. Legal Description Search Under the Searches Tab, change Parcel Search to Legal Location Search. The Default is for a Long Legal (Ex: SE W4), you can change the type to a short legal (Lot/Block/Plan) by changing the type.

4 For both the long and short legal you will enter the legal description by selecting from the drop down menu. Note: It will only let you select descriptions within Camrose County, not the Villages. Long Legal: Short Legal: Once you have selected the legal description you will need to click Search in the bottom right corner.

5 Finding Property Information 1. Hovering over the property highlights the boundaries in green and gives a popup with the Roll Number, Long Legal and Short Legal. 2. Click on the property to get an information box with: Parcel Size, Linc Number, and Total Assessment Value. Note: You need to close this window before you can go back to the map. 3. Turn on Aerial Photos In the top right corner click Imagery, select 2012 Images, the click Submit You can also select older photos, to see a history of the property by selecting 2007 or Note: If all the photos are turned on the most recent will show up. If you want to see the 2003 photo make sure 2007 & 2012 are turned off.

6 Changing what information is on the map: In addition to turning Aerial Photos on/off, you can adjust other layers to display what you need to see. 1. Go to the Legend Tab Click the arrows to expand or collapse available features. Items with a check mark beside them are on and will be visible at the appropriate scale. Clicking on the box will add/remove a check mark. For example. If you click the check mark beside Hydro Features, the water will turn off. Some layers are only visible at certain scales. Try zooming in/out to see if a layer you changed showed up. If the layer is not visible at the current scale it will be in grey italics in the Legend.

7 Changing the display image The display can be changed to make the map more legible. For instance if you turn on dimensions and get this: You can make the font bigger, go to the legend and click on the A appear. Change Text Size from 1.50% to 4.00% and click ok. beside Dimensions. A dialogue box will

8 Measuring a lot or an area Not every lot has dimensions (usually only ones with a Lot/Block/Plan), but the distance can be calculated. You can also determine the area of a parcel or any other area you want using the Measurement Tools on the left side between the legend and the map. Measure a line: Click Measure Line Distance on the Measurement Tools. Click the map at your starting point. Double click at your end point. A red line will show what you measured and a dialogue box will appear with the distance. To measure several a line with several segments. Click to start point and all additional points, the double-click the end point. The system will give you a total distance of the entire line.

9 To measure an area Click on Calculate Irregular Polygon Area on the Measurement Tools Icon. Click your starting point and any other points, then double-click the end point. It will draw the area and open a dialogue box stating the area.

10 Annotate Your Map Add text, a line, or a circle around a property. Click on the Redline Tools on the left side between the legend and the map. For example, to circle a property of interest click draw circle To add text click on the Redline Tools, Add Text To change the colour of the lines, text or fill click on Change Redline Styles. To remove previous annotations click Remove All.

11 Printing Click the Print Button on the left side between the legend and the map. A view of the screen will come up with a legend and disclaimer information. To adjust the print settings click Printing Options. Click the Print Button to finalize the print process.
