This involved a tiered structure, moving from an overview of results, to results in categories, device selectors, search promotions and searched FAQs. 2 Pain GPS Atlanta, GA: 6/16 09/16 UX/UI Product Designer I was hired by a direct client to build out the user experience and graphic user interface for an interactive kiosk application, called Pain GPS that would eliminate the need to visit a physical therapist. My goal was to provide UX documents regarding the app architecture, mood boards for UI styles and hi-fidelity comps for the Kiosk to pass to the development team. This was due to short deadlines and the need for a fast iterative design process. I redesigned digital products starting with user task flows, creating sketched wireframes and then building the visual mockups for UI projects. I used personas and conversations with customer service to stay customer-focused. Alternate tasks involved creating an icon library, documenting the technical functionalities of UI elements, designing marketing material and creating style guide documents. 3 Macquarium Atlanta, GA: 01/16 02/16 UX / UI Designer My process and role here consisted of utilizing critical and creative thinking methods to optimize the process of the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Fundraising experience. With the goal of being a short, quick and comprehensive on-boarding process for users to follow, I devised a 3-step process of how the fundraising service works in the formats of text, documents and a proposed video. I made these decisions based on the competitive analysis I did and the understanding that users prefer to scan than to read. I crafted the sitemap and information architecture of the experience prior to developing wireframes, then moving on to the visual design. Afterwards, the deliverables were passed on to the development team. Starting with an identify the problem to competitive analysis to user research methodology, resulted to a rapid design and test cycle. I performed as the sole designer on the project, but conducted analysis and research meetings with a team of designers, product managers, product owners and developers. In addition to my primary task, I worked in an agile environment via the Kanban approach. With bi-weekly design meetings and reviews, I presented my work and research, explaining my design decisions and process. User researcher was a vital hat to wear for this role. I conducted internal interviews to understand the investor mindset and accounted user issues from customer service. 4 Mid-Columbia Medical Center The Dalles, OR: 12/13 7/14 Lead UX / UI Designer The objective of this project was to redesign and restructure the hospital s intranet system. It was my responsibility to give it a user-friendly, visually appealing and engaging appeal to be used for desktop, tablet and mobile viewports. Also tasked with designing modules and navigation menus to be more efficient and productive while adhering to the needs of the user. I worked as a sole designer along with a team of developers, working in an agile design process with two week sprints to assess and wireframe designs. We utilized agile task management software, where I created stories and tasks to be completed per each sprint. This kept the monolith of tasks and designs to do, in strategic order. I conducted bi-weekly presentations where we would discuss my designs and my reasons for the work I did and how it would work (interactions), as well as setting up time to test wireframes with users. As a team, we would perform critical thinking sessions about design ideas before presenting them to invested stakeholders. My process consisted of analyzing and assessing the current intranet design and task flows, creating breakdowns of how the current information was being displayed and presenting my ideas for how to enhance the information architecture to be more inlined with user goals. I started with sketching wireframes of designs, teaming up with the UI developer on the team to bounce ideas off of, built rapid prototypes and eventually visual mockups. 5 Metia Digital Marketing Seattle, WA: 6/13 9/13 UX / UI Designer (Consultant) Primary focus of my position was to provide online marketing collateral, converting InDesign (INDD) to Word(MSW) documents, creating PowerPoint (PPT) templates and web mockups (PSD), while following appropriate brand guidelines. Each day started with meeting project managers to brainstorm about the objectives, details and deadlines of our upcoming projects. I would start on my work, utilizing either Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator all the while, keeping Outlook up for incoming messages and updates from the team. After completing my assignments, I implemented a PDF presentation describing what was completed, and how users would use the design. Often, new projects would arise with higher priorities than my active one, with which I would have to switch gears, take down notes on current and new job numbers, due dates and the time I've used to work on previous projects. For really high profile assignments, I would stay in the office working until around 10pm. On a regular basis, I hardly ever left earlier than 6pm. Frequently designed using different software technologies such as PowerPoint, MS Word, and frequently re-visited brand guidelines throughout my assignments. All projects were uploaded to the company server. Microsoft: Created layout designs (PSD) for HTML newsletters, web banners in various sizes including animation banners (PSD), event agenda documents (MSW), PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, and landing page designs (AI). I created sales sheets (INDD) and converted them to Microsoft Word (MSW) for client accessibility Dell: Created a hi-fi wireframe (AI) of a survey form. Presented aspects of the form in a two column document (INDD) with a main column displaying the designs and a sidebar column describing the functionality of how the form would work.
