This release includes Off Highway Vehicle Titling and Registration, Printing the Back of a Title for California Titled Vehicles, Plate and Sticker issuance improvements for Elite Customers, as well as other product enhancements. 3 CVR Release Notes Page 3 of System Requirements CAEVR requires a computer with the following minimum hardware configuration: 800x600 or higher resolution video card and monitor A high-speed internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1, etc.) Keyboard and mouse A laser printer for Registration Cards/Reports One of the following operating systems with the recommended hardware configuration for the OS: 1.1 Windows 8.1 Pro (32-bit) 1 GB system memory 16 GB available hard disk space 1.2 Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) 2 GB of system memory 20 GB available hard disk space 1.3 Windows 8 Pro (32-bit) 1 GB system memory 16 GB available hard disk space 1.4 Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) 2 GB of system memory 20 GB available hard disk space 1.5 Windows XP Professional 800 MHz or faster processor 512 MB system memory 1.5GB available hard disk space 1.6 Windows Vista Business and Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) 1 GB system memory 16 GB available hard disk space 1.7 Windows Vista Business and Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) 2 GB of system memory 20 GB available hard disk space Note: 250 MB of free hard disk space should be available for the EVR application and database files for a typical installation.

4 CVR Release Notes Page 4 of Installation Instructions 2.1 New Installation This application can be used for a New Install or for an upgrade to the new version. During the installation process, click Next to accept the default setup values displayed for each of the prompts. 2.2 Upgrade Installation Clients must be on version 5.8A or later, to upgrade to 7.0A.

5 CVR Release Notes Page 5 of 10 3 Enhancements 3.1 Issuing Virtual Inventory Starting with this release, Plates and Sticker issuance for ELITE Dealerships will now be managed directly by CVR virtual systems. Users will no longer be required to assign stickers and/or plates during deal processing in the EVR application. Assigned Plates and Stickers will be represented by two Asterisks (*), one in each field before transmitting the deal to DMV for processing. Before processing the deal, the Plate and Sticker fields will be populated by an (*) as illustrated below: After the deal is successfully completed, the issued Plate and Sticker will be populated as illustrated below: The Registration List will show the issued Plate and Sticker as show below. All reports will be updated to show the assigned Plate and Sticker, as illustrated below. 3.2 Back of Title - Printing Effective this release, the EVR application will allow you to print the back of a California Issued Title for Used vehicles, using a laser or inkjet printer. As a summary of the information from the deal, the following will be printed: a. Buyer information and Address b. Financing Company information, where applicable c. Lease information, where applicable d. Dealership information e. Trailer Garage information, where applicable Printer Settings To print the back of your Title, your Account Executive will help you setup print margins, from the Options, Printer section of the EVR application. Please Note, settings may vary depending on your printer type, operating system and other printer settings Printing Title To print the back of the title, select your deal from the registration list and follow the prompts as illustrated below. Click on Print then Title at the bottom of the print dialogue Insert your Title in the manual feed portion of the printer

6 CVR Release Notes Page 6 of Direct Inventory Shipments to your dealership Effective this release, Larger dealerships will be able to receive inventory directly from DMV with CVR Support making necessary adjustments to your account for inventory to be Available ready to issue to your deals, the moment your shipment arrives. There are no changes on your part for this feature to work. 3.4 Deal Cover document for CVR Auditing This release will include a deal cover page with a bar code to be printed on every successful deal. This cover page needs to be attached to bundle and send to CVR for imaging. The deal documents will now print in this order: a. Cover Page b. Registration Card Customer copy c. Registration Card File copy d. Pull Ticket ( optional) e. Registration Fee Detail (optional) 3.5 Off Highway Vehicle Registration New Legislation was passed to allow dealers to register Off Highway Vehicles. By definition, any motor vehicle operated off-highway is an OHV. A highway licensed vehicle is an OHV when operated off of the highway. This release will offer the ability to issue and Red and Green stickers to OHVs OHVs include: a. All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), b. Dirt Bikes c. Sand Rails d. Recreation Utility Vehicles (RUVs) e. Golf Carts f. Snowmobiles g. Go Carts

7 CVR Release Notes Page 7 of Processing OHV Deals a. Select OHV Red or OHV Green from the vehicle type list b. Fill in all required fields across c. On the Plate Tab, Enter/Tab to the Sticker field to assign a Sticker or a Star (*) representing a plate to be assigned by CVR during processing. d. Transmit your deal for final processing KSR Preload of OHVs You can preload your OHV California record by VIN and Sticker. However, enter the sticker number in the plate field and submit your request to retrieve your OHV record OHV Fees Original Transactions For all OHV Original Issuance Transactions (Initial, Miscellaneous original, Non-Resident) the following Fees will be charged by DMV: 3.6 Display Plate Type codes next to the plate type descriptions In this release Plate Type Descriptions have been enhanced to show the DMV code associated with the Plate being issued, transferred or reassigned. This plate code should match the plate codes on your KSR. 3.7 Updated labels- Previous Legal Owner/Previous Registered Owner In the Miscellaneous and Lien Tabs for various transactions, labels have been updated to Previous Reg Owner and Previous Legal Owner.

8 CVR Release Notes Page 8 of Updated Deal Summary - GCW for Commercial Registration/Lease Information The Deal Summary tab has been updated with additional information for a quick reference to the most important information on a deal. The deal summary has been updated to include the GCW (Gross Vehicle Weight) and the Lease GVW is displayd here Lessor and Lessee information is displayed here 3.9 Updated Bundle/Complete Transaction Detail Report The Bundle and Complete Transaction Detail and Bundle Reports have been updated to include a bar code for DMV document imaging purposes, as illustrated below: 3.10 Non-Original Post Fees for OHVs Effective this release, your Store will now be able to Post Fees on Transfer Type Transactions, to avoid incurring Late Fees and Penalties. Please enter a Post Date. Select the RDF Indicator SET, RDF Reason Code, enter Post Date and the Amount To Post to process your Transfer Fee Posting on a Used Vehicle. You can Post Fees up to the maximum dollar amount as rated by DMV for Transfer, Transfer Renewal, Transfer Renewal Replace and a Transfer with Replace Transaction. If after Fee a Inquiry, and Accept Fees checkbox is checked to process SET-RDF, Amount To Post field has to be cleared before processing your Transfer Transaction.

9 CVR Release Notes Page 9 of Write-Off/Refund Calculation California EVR captures Collected Fees that a buyer pays to dealership as estimated registration & title fees. Upon completion of the deal, DMV will return actual fees. A Write-off Refund Calculation is now displayed to show the difference between what was collected from the customer and what DMV rated the vehicle to be. This calculation is reflected on the Sales Tab: Collected Fees entered by end user = $ DMV Rated the illustrated deal at $201. The difference is rated at $96.00 This calculated amount will be posted back to your dealer management system as part of your daily Journal posting for completed vehicle registration deals Salvage and Revived Junk vehicles - Inspection Previously salvaged or junked vehicles with California Titles must be inspected by an authorized DMV employee or referred to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for inspection. CHP may issue a CHP 97C when an inspection is completed for a revived salvage vehicle. For Trailers, a DMV verification will satisfy this requirement. An inspection flag has been added to the EVR application to support this requirement: 3.13 PFR Metal Tab Effective this release, you may apply for a PFR Metal Tab during your PFR deal processing, by selecting PFR metal tab from the PFR Process list on the vehicle tab.

10 CVR Release Notes Page 10 of Batch Release Inventory from Local Inventory for future use In prior versions, unused inventory previously allocated to a local processing PC could only be released, one at a time. In this release, enhancements have been added to allow for Batch Releasing of this from a local PC back to the Central pool where everyone in your store will have access to use that inventory Flexible Fuel When completing an Application for Registration of New Vehicle (REG 397), Report of Sale-Used Vehicle (REG 51), Verification of Vehicle (REG 31), or Application for Title or Registration (REG 343), an F must be entered in the Motive Power or Fuel Type box when the vehicle is an FFV. Sending Flexible Fuel, as a fuel type will be converted to Gas when processing your deal Import Sort Order When importing deals into the EVR application, your deals will be imported in the order you entered them from your dealer management system. However, by selecting the Sort Import Registration List option in Tools-Options, your deals will be imported in numeric order. For upgrades and clean installs, this option will be checked automatically POLK and Zip POLK and Zip Code tables have been updated in this release. You will be able to process all Makes and Body styles published by Polk for Model Year 2014, effective this release. Your Zip Code Table has also been updated to include changes and addition of new cities and towns. Additional Fixes CR Control number disappears after selecting different deal type Control number will always be retained once entered in the New Transaction screen. CR Min-Max Price Range The Minimum and maximum price will no longer be displayed randomly for vehicles that fall outside the price range as dictated by Polk. CR9992 Registration Table Error The tblregt error triggered at the end of a successful deal completion has been resolved.
