1 CVR Release Notes Page 1 of 6 CVR Software Release Notes VAEVR Version 9.15 Introduction CVR is pleased to announce Virginia Electronic Vehicle Registration (VA EVR) Software Release This release includes new features to the VA EVR product as described in this document. Please note that a shortlist of significant features is available under the Release scope overview section. Required Installation Date The table below describes the main release and (if applicable) consecutive minor releases available as part of Virginia Electronic Vehicle Registration (VA EVR) Software Release 9.15, along with their deployment requirements, date of availability and required installation dates. The specifics for each release are detailed starting at the next section. Updated Moped Transaction 3. Off Road Vehicle converted to On Road Vehicle 4. Updated Odometer Status on OX/OM/LS Body types 5. Pull Ticket Barcode Changed to Bottom 6. Unit Number length increased 7. Added New body type Tractor Truck (TT) 8. Increased Sales and Use tax 9. Polk has been updated to the latest version to support newer 2015 and 2016 Models B. System Requirements VAEVR 9.11A requires a computer with the following minimum hardware configuration: 1024x768 or higher resolution video card and monitor A high-speed internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1, etc.) Keyboard and mouse Any Laser Printer available. One of the following operating systems with the recommended hardware configuration for the OS: Windows XP Professional A. 800 MHz or faster processor B. 512 MB system memory C. 1.5GB available hard disk space Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) B. 1 GB system memory C. 16 GB available hard disk space Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) B. 2 GB of system memory C. 20 GB available hard disk space Windows 8.1 Professional (32-bit) B. 1 GB system memory C. 16 GB available hard disk space Windows 8.1 Professional (64-bit) B. 2 GB of system memory 20 GB available hard disk space Note: 250 MB of free hard disk space should be available for the EVR application and database files for a typical installation.

3 CVR Release Notes Page 3 of 6 C. Installation Instructions New Installation This application can be used for a New Install or for an upgrade to the new version. During the installation process, click Next to accept the default setup values displayed for each of the prompts. Upgrade Installation Clients must be on version 9.13A to upgrade to version 9.15A D. State Mandates 1. Updated Manufactured Home Transaction Effective this release, Manufactured Home transaction VIN field has been updated to support VINs from less than 17 characters to maximum of 20 characters. Color and Axles fields have been updated to optional. 2. Updated Moped Transaction Effective this release, Moped transaction VIN field has been updated to support VINs less than 17 characters. Odometer Status has been updated to include new status Odometer Not Required. Odometer Reading field will be disabled if the status is set to Odometer Not Required

4 CVR Release Notes Page 4 of 6 3. Off Road Vehicle converted to On Road Vehicle Effective this release, Off Road Bikes has been converted to an On Road Bikes. A Converted to On Road checkbox has been added to Vehicle screen. Checkbox is enabled when the user has created a new Title and Registration transaction and the Vehicle Class is set to Motorcycle and the Vehicle Body is set to MC. Checkbox is set to Optional when enabled A motorcycle plate will be issued for these vehicles. 4. Updated Odometer Status on OM/OX/LS Body types Effective this release, Title Only transaction with Motor Bike (OM), Motocross Off Road (OX) and Low Speed (LS) body types Odometer Status has been updated to include new status Odometer Not Required. Odometer Reading field will be disabled if the status is set to Odometer Not Required. For OM Body style, Odometer Not Required status has been added to the list under Motorcycle vehicle class. For OX Body style, Odometer Not Required status has been added to the list under Motorcycle vehicle class. For LS Body style, Odometer Not Required status has been added to the list under Passenger/Light Truck vehicle class.

5 CVR Release Notes Page 5 of 6 5. Pull Ticket Barcode Changed to Bottom Effective this release, The Barcode on the Pull Ticket has been moved to Bottom and Centered. 6. Unit Number length Increased Vehicle Page - Unit Number field has been updated to enter up to 20 characters in length. \ Inquiry Report has been updated to print the Unit Number below the Color field.

6 CVR Release Notes Page 6 of 6 7. Added New body type Tractor Truck (TT) Effective this release, New Body style Tractor Truck (TT) has been added to Vehicle Class Truck. 8. Increased Sales and Use tax Effective this release, From July 1 st the Sales and Use tax charged on the Dealer Processing Fee and/or Taxable Sales Price will be increased to 4.10%. 9. Polk has been updated to the latest version to support newer 2016 Models The Polk Table has been updated to reflect newer 2016 Models.
