2 MINDJET ON-PREMISE 3.1 RELEASE NOTES Note: All users must be advised to clean their browser cache after the Administrator has upgraded Mindjet on-premise. New Features Microsoft Office 365 optimized Mindjet on-premise has been optimized for dedicated instances of Microsoft Office 365. Hyperlink to SharePoint file Users can add hyperlinks to SharePoint content in map topics using the Hyperlink menu by selecting Add Link to SharePoint File or Folder. This screen lets users hyperlink to SharePoint files, tasks, announcements, calendar events, and other Mindjet maps. Search for tasks at list level Previously, users could only perform a site-wide task search in SharePoint. Now it is possible to customize the task search: users can specify which lists on the SharePoint site to include in the search. Keyword search on Custom Columns When using Search Tasks, users can perform a keyword search in SharePoint Custom Columns by employing Search in: All supported text fields. 1. On the ribbon, select Search Tasks. 2. In Select the SharePoint sites and lists to include in this query, select the specific areas to search Mindjet All Rights Reserved Version 1.2, January 30,

3 3. In the Narrow Your Search window, enter the keywords for the search in the Search For field. 4. In the Search In field, select All Supported Fields. User picker A user picker has been added to the Task Search field for Enter a name or address. This user picker provides a directory of SharePoint users to facilitate identifying those whose tasks will be searched. Bug Fixes Users get an error message if templates have been disabled by the SharePoint Administrator. Users can create a blank map if templates are not enabled. Search tasks by address is not working. Corrected. Users can only send tasks to the standard task list in SharePoint. 4 Known Issues Windows and Mac users Freestyle tag When a user deletes a Freestyle tag (the tag that is created when a task is sent SharePoint), an XML error occurs. This error occurs in all browsers. Known Issues Windows users File downloads locally when map is checked out In certain setups, Internet Explorer 9 users who check out a.mmap file, then click the offered link to open the file will be prompted to save the map locally rather than open it in the browser. 1. To open the map directly into the browser, highlight the file, and select View in Browser. Image embedded in a topic If a topic with an embedded image is sent to a SharePoint task, the image will be removed from the topic. Task Search SharePoint Task Search sites must to be defined using folder format, not by site name. For example: On-premise will not recognize farm>/fp/sitepages/home.aspx (site name) as a searchable site. On-premise will recognize farm>/fp (folder format) as a searchable site. Opening Microsoft Office docs in Internet Explorer or Firefox If you have hyperlinked to a Microsoft Office document in a map on SharePoint, and want to open that document in either Internet Explorer or Firefox as a default, SharePoint must have Microsoft Web Apps 2013 Mindjet All Rights Reserved Version 1.2, January 30,

5 installed. If Microsoft Web Apps is not installed, the user can employ Internet Explorer to open the document while retaining the connection back to SharePoint. Known Issues Mac users Edit in Mindjet desktop Mac users are not able to open.mmap documents from SharePoint using the Edit in Mindjet desktop option in the SharePoint context menu. Instead, download the map from SharePoint and open the downloaded map in Mindjet desktop for Mac. Scroll wheel Using either the scroll wheel or the track pad will scroll the map and not the SharePoint page. Instead, use the scroll arrow on the side of the page.
