This guide is provided unofficially and is not supported as the Galileo Print Manager 1

2 software application is not supported by Travelport and Galileo Southern Africa on this platform, this guide has been provided as a courtesy only and will hopefully provide enough information for a working installation. The procedure shown here may not work in all cases. If you have already installed the GPM software, you may have found that you are unable to configure the devices from the Configurations Menu option from the Galileo Print Manager Menu. You may have also received the following message: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Program control panel Basic Procedure Steps Close any running GPM software. Download the replacement empty Configuration.dps file Replace your existing Configuration.dps file Create the GPM required devices using the AddDevice Wizard Configure the Print Manager Start GPM Link the devices in Galileo Desktop HMLD 2 Obtaining a GPM Clean Configuration file *This guide assumes GPM 5.2 is already installed as per the GPM Installation Guide. After installation on your laptop or workstation, you should find the following file: C:\My Documents\Focalpoint PM\DPS Configuration.dps This file needs to be replaced with the replacement file found at the following location: You will find the file download link on the site front page, please search for the 64 bit GPM Issue section then download the file and replace your existing file on your workstation. If you are unsure of how to acomplish this, please consult your support IT person for assistance. 1 1 Note, replacing this file will REMOVE your exisitng devices and configurations, ths is a blank configuration with no devices created, any exisiting configuration details will be overwritten 2

3 3 Create the Required Output devices (Itinery, Ticket or Mir You can use the C:\Program Files (x86)\focalpoint\dps\addwizard.exe application to manually create the devices, the installation may vary depending on your version of Windows. 2 Depending on your requirements, you may need to configure for a single Itinerary printer or multiple devices. The default print Manager device is installed as device 0 and the first device created after the print manager will be device number 1, then 2 and so on. 3 Important Device Order Information and 4 Important Ticket Printer Information 3.1 Configure an Itinerary Printer as a single Device Device Number 1 Device Name Itinerary Printer Select your preferred printer from the list Ensure the Use the DefaultPrinter is NOT Selected 3.2 Configure a Ticket Printer, Itinerary Printer and Mir Device Ticket Printer as device No 1 2 Note, you may need to run the applications as administrator or in compatibility mode, please consult your IT support for additional information. 3 Note, the device order shown in the section for multiple devices may not reflect the correct ordering for your Galileo devices, please refer to your Galileo supplied configuration information for your device order. This information is supplied as a guideline on how to create the devices only 4 Note, ticket printers are no longer in use and they should be configured as printer devices as per instructions in the guide. 3

5 4 After Device Configuration After the print device, or devices have been configured, please remember to link your device from Galileo Desktop (HMLD). If you are unsure how to do this, call the Galileo Helpdesk on for assistance, or use the Linking Galileo Devices guide. 5 Obtaining Software If you don t have the software available, it can be downloaded from the locations below. GPM Software location can be found here 5 Galileo Software Location Information Authentication may be required to access some software locations 5 The Galileo Desktop software can be obtained from the following locations, please be aware that additional software or customization could be required. 5
