ADC Device Server v ADC Device Server v What is in this Release? This provides a summary of the new functionalities, enhancements added, and defects fixed in the ADC Device Server v since the last release (v12.21). This release contains 17 Enhancements and 53 bug fixes. Note: These defects and enhancements were tested at both a development level and QA level, and may have been released to one or more customers in the form of a test-release version. Minimum Requirements The following are minimum system requirements for ADCv12 Automation system components as of the release of this document. Automation Network Consideration: When using the NEXIO IP driver, to take advantage of the Extended Device Storage Window view on the ADC Clients the NEXIO and the ADC Clients must be on the same LAN. If the NEXIO and ADC Clients are on separate LANs, then only the standard Device Storage Window view is available. Note: Customers supplying or upgrading their own workstation or File Server hardware for automation products must ensure they meet recommended minimum hardware specifications. Please contact automation support for more information. IMPORTANT: Rev-Lock Condition with version 12.21/4.21 release. Implementation of enhancement (Redesign of the List locking mechanism) in Device Server v21.21 has resulted in a rev-lock condition. This requires all software be updated to 12.21/4.21 or higher release levels when upgrading or installing ADC system software. Supported Database The following databases are supported: SQL 2008, SQL 2008 Express, SQL 2012, SQL 2012 Express Supported OS Level ADC Device Server v12.18 and higher and Client v4.18 and higher support operation on 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 5 of 39

Enhancements Enhancements List of Enhancements The following enhancements were implemented in this release. 3500: Add the ability to zero the initial duration of upcount events This enhancement adds the ability to zero the initial duration of upcount events by implementing a 'Zero Upcount Durations option on the List Options > Options tab configuration. If Enabled (checked), the duration of Upcount event will setup to zero automatically before the event starts. The list will be rippled and timed as with estimated duration of this event. If Disabled (unchecked), the behavior of the list will be as normal- upcount events would decrement from whatever duration is scheduled and then upcount from zero Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 8 of 39

Enhancements 3782: Extend the existing IconMaster device driver interface to include support for audio profiles Operation (Old ID: HAS ) This enhancement extends the existing IconMaster device driver interface to include support for audio profiles. Version 3.2 of the IconMaster software added extensions to the automation protocol to allow for the recall of user defined audio profiles. Automated control of this new function allows the user to change the audio channels used for any specified video source. Using this method, different language tracks can be selected upon playout. The protocol extension allows an audio profile to be associated with a button number on the control panel. Button Parameter range: (0, 1, 2,, 21). When the button number is higher than 21, the command is not executed. Audio Profile parameter range: (0, 1, 2,,15). When the audio profile number is higher than 15, the command is not executed and NAK is returned in response to the Command or Query. Use the ADC Config Tool to configure the IconMaster driver. 1. Under MC Switchers in the Available pane (right pane), select the Harris IconMaster device and drag-n-drop it to the Configured Pane (left pane). 2. Select the IconMaster device (ICONM) in the left pane, right-click and from the popup menu select Properties. The configuration dialog is displayed for this device. Use the left and right arrows at the upper right to scroll through the other tabs. 3. On the Audio Control tab, enable option Control Audio Mode and select Switcher Audio Crosspoint Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 9 of 39

Enhancements 4. Run Air Client. Open a Transmission List, Add one primary event and one secondary Switcher Audio Crosspoint event. This secondary event will send the Audio Profile command to the IconMaster device. Specify title field of this event in such way: Button Profile, where Button is integer between 0 and 21 (button number on the control panel), Profile is integer between 0 and 15 (audio profile). For example, to assign profile 15 on button number 21 write: (ensure that there is space symbol between the two integers) Case 3782 was merged into the stream under case : Add 3 additional heads to the IconStation XML driver for a total of 5. The enhancement adds three additional heads to the IconStation XML driver for a supported total of 5 heads, making it possible to overlap 5 layouts when controlled by ADC. Note: This is implemented for those using sav events : Cleared Done Events to be treated as newly inserted events In order to facilitate proper reconciliation, events which have been As-Run can never be revived. With this enhancement when an ADC user invokes the "Clear Done Events" function to replay an event on the transmission list, the event is treated as a newly inserted event in the Transmission list and a new GUID is assigned, so this is a new event both in the Device Server, in the Live- Update, and in the Traffic : Provide ability to filter rows in Device Status window Operation This enhancement implements the ability of row filtering in the Device Status Window. Changes necessary for this enhancement were implemented in Config Tool, Air Client, and Media Client. 1. Open the Device Status window Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 10 of 39

Enhancements 2. Filter by the values in the column. Move cursor to the columns header and push the displayed combo button. 3. Choose the items from the filter dropdown to filter by. The Grid is filtered by selected values Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 11 of 39

Enhancements Customize the filter in the grid. The Filter Builder dialog allows end-users to build complex filter criteria with an unlimited number of filter conditions combined by logical operators. End-users can invoke the Filter Builder dialog using the Customize button displayed within the filter panel. This dialog is also invoked when choosing the (Custom ) item from the filter dropdown. 1. Click on the column's caption to select the column Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 12 of 39

Enhancements 2. In the operator box, select the condition. 3. Input the value to filter by. 4. Click the button... to add condition, add group or remove the row Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 13 of 39

Enhancements 5. Click the OK button to apply the filter criteria and close the dialog. The grid View now displays only the records matching the set criteria. Saving to/loading from an External File The Filter Builder dialog allows you to save filter criteria to and load them from an external file. Clicking the Save As or Open buttons activates one of these dialogs. Filter settings are stored in a file with a.flt extension. Sort data by columns It is possible to sort data by columns. The first click on a column header sorts data in ascending order and the second by descending order, etc. To clear sorting by a column, click the column caption holding the Ctrl key down. You can also sort data by multiple columns. To do this, click on column headers while pressing the Shift key. A small arrow displayed within a column header indicates the current sort order. The up-arrow indicates the ascending sort order. The down-arrow the descending sort order Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 14 of 39

Enhancements 76771: Add macro for modifying graphics to IconStation driver This enhancement adds a new command for Layout Name, Region Name, and File Name as parameters in a macro to the IconStation XML driver. The syntax of the new command is: SetGraphic:<Layout Name>,<Region Name>,<File Name>. The command is available in the Secondary Data Event With Data. The XML protocol currently provides the ability to set the screen position (Rectangle) of every item in the layout along with its z-order. The syntax of this xml command is: <Inscriber-IconStation-Request>
<Command>set item</command> <Parameters> <Names> <Layout>DynamicItemTest</Layout>
Image
</Names>
<Properties> <FileTransfer> <RegionFile>D:\Jeff\Images\PNG_NTSC_720x486_24- bit.png</regionfile> 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 15 of 39

Enhancements </FileTransfer> </Properties>
</Parameters> </Inscriber-IconStation-Request> 76999: Extend MC-4000 driver Phase II This phase 2 enhancement extends the MC-4000 driver to support the following functionality by adding the check of input parameters for DVE functionality of secondary keyer events. "Squeeze Preset" "Squeeze Action" "PST Audio Mode" Now the driver supports "PST Audio Mode", "Squeeze Preset" and "Squeeze Action" functionality following audio mode: MONO, STEREO, SAP, Dolby : Implement simplest mechanisms of APIs for updating list changes. Phase 2 This enhancement implements the following mechanisms of APIs for updating list changes: Two new types of updates have been added and now 5 types are supported: event insertion event modification event deletion event movement event packing Notification record now depends on type of update. It contains event, its GUID, timestamp and GUID of previous event for insertion event, its GUID, timestamp for modification GUIDs of previous events for movement (GUID of previous event for current position and GUID of previous event for new position) GUID of deleting event for deletion and packing Now if a subscriber disconnects from the Device Server it is deleted from the subscribers list. Now it is possible to monitor list updates and actions with subscribers in the Device Server Debug Log. Toggle Device Server Subscription Log on/off by using the Alt+Ctrl+Shift+S keyboard combination. The letter F is displayed on the Device Server Main Form (F means Feedback) Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 16 of 39

Enhancements Note: This log contains a lot of information and can cause significant growth of the debug file : Allow ADC Device Server to work with Moxa NPort Series With this enhancement ADC v12 Device Server implements system virtualization via MOXA NPort Series serial port server (32-port). Automation customers have been asking for a means by which their automation systems can be virtualized. Virtualization will allow customers to decrease the hardware, maintenance and setup costs involved in setting up and maintaining their automation systems, and to allow multiple serial connections via one device. The Moxa NPort Series is used to implement this functionality. Note: For the remainder of this entry Moxa NPort Series is referred to as the Moxa Terminal Server or Moxa. The Moxa Terminal Server allows up to 32 serial ports. This functionality allows customers to use a single Moxa Terminal Server for 32 device connections. Optionally, Moxa software architecture allows the Device Server to control more than one Moxa device. For example, 3-6 virtual Com ports are linked with Moxa_1 and 7-10 virtual Com ports are linked with Moxa_2. The Device Server is able to control all 8 ports of both Moxa devices. In this scenario, the Device Server and Config Tool have 1-4 serial ports for 3-6 virtual Com ports and 5-8 serial ports for 7-10 virtual Com ports. Networking Workflow The following Graphic illustrates basic networking for ADC Automation using Moxa Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 17 of 39

Enhancements Reference Virtualization via Moxa support is a for purchase functionality that requires a special Device Server Build. For more information see Moxa 6650_ADC_Virtualization_User Note : Add a <Reject 00:00:00.00 DUR> checkbox in Extended ID Video Disk Driver Segments and Spots tab This enhancement adds a Reject Null Durations checkbox to all drivers for Video Disk in both the Segments tab and the Spots tab. When disabled (unchecked), the driver will behave as it currently does and any events with 00:00:00.00 durations should be skipped. Any event with a NULL duration should continue to play without stop. Default setting is disabled. When enabled (checked) the VDCP object will not register to play any event in the transmission list that has a blank or 00:00:00.00 Duration. (With default colors, these events remain RED on the Transmission List and do not play). The Transmission List treats this event like any other missing event Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 18 of 39

Enhancements 83132: Create device driver for Selenio phase 1 This enhancement creates a device driver for Selenio. It is based on the Universal Serial Device (USD) driver, but supports only CCSP (Harris Broadcast Command and Control System Protocol). This phase of the implementation is targeted to address the following use cases. Use Scenarios for Automation Control of Selenio modules Use the Selenio FS/XD logo in the same way as other keyers Respond to the check phase with the presence (or not) of the requested key file Respond to the pre-roll phase with a loading (but not displaying) operation Respond to the play phase by turning the key on Respond to the stop phase by turning the key off Based on current/next event text, set related values in the encoder or mux Respond to the check phase with OK (no action) Respond to the pre-roll phase with OK (no action) Respond to the play phase by setting the value (argument from the playlist) Respond to the stop phase with OK (no action) 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 20 of 39

Enhancements 84591: Mirror the DONE Count to the Slave list This enhancement allows the DONE Count to be mirrored to the Slave list by adding the check box option Enable Copy Done Count Value from Master List to Slave to the List Options > List Redundancy tab. The default value is false (not checked), so the customers who don t need this feature will have no changes in their work. Customers who want to copy done count value can enable this option. The value of this option is saved in INI-file. To reduce the chance of errors this option is grayed out on the Slave list, so the user can enable/disable it only on Master list Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 21 of 39

Enhancements Operation If option Enable Copy Done Count Value from Master List to Slave is enabled/disabled on Master list, it will be automatically enabled/disabled on Slave list (but on Slave list it will be always grayed-out, like a read-only option). different and the user turns on option Enable Copy Done Count Value from Master List to Slave, the Done Count value is automatically copied from Master to Slave at this moment. This feature will work only if. option Enable Copy Done Count Value from Master List to Slave is enabled, a pair of lists (channel) is created in LRCC and their behavior is specified (Master/Slave). If the value of Done Count is changed on Master list, it is automatically copied to Slave list. And on Slave list Done Count spin-edit will be grayed out Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 22 of 39

Enhancements Note: This enhancement doesn t address cases when Done Count is automatically set to zero because of list locking procedures. This enhancement is related only to Nominal Done Count value which is set by user in Config Tool or Air Client and doesn t reflect automatic Done Count modifications necessary for list locking mechanism : Create a driver for the Miranda LGK-3901 The Miranda LGK-3901 is a variant of the IS-750 that has three (3) key layers whereas the IS-750 has four (4). This enhancement creates a new driver for the LGK-3901 (using the IS-750 as a base) which is limited to three (3) layers : ADC ListDump command line parameters This enhancement implements a Dump tool for passing ADC ListDump parameters to the application. The Dump tool can be used in two modes now: GUI application Console application GUI application If tool is launched without command line arguments (e.g. ListDump.exe) it will show GUI. Tool GUI allows: View list of servers in a network View number and names of Lists on the selected server Create dump of multiple lists for selected server 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 23 of 39

Enhancements Create shortcut with required arguments Operation 1. Launch Device Server and Air Client 2. Load events on lists 3. Launch ListDump tool without arguments 4. Select server and lists 5. Press Dump selected button 6. Verify report files Report files are created for all selected lists and the Reports contain event information Console application If tool is launched with console line arguments, no GUI Command line is opened and the application automatically creates the dump according to arguments. Format of arguments: 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 24 of 39

Enhancements Operation ListDump.exe [/NoPause] <ServerName> <List numbers> Example: ListDump.exe MANA It means the application should connect to server with name MANA and create dump of first five lists. /NoPause argument is optional. If this argument is added application will not wait for Enter key after dump of lists have been created. No client name argument is required. Client name is created automatically according to the following pattern: DumpTool + random number in range Launch Device Server and Air Client 2. Create shortcut for ListDump tool (Manually or using Create Shortcut button in the GUI) 3. Launch tool with shortcut The Console window is opened and a Report file is created for all specified lists and contain event information : Replace the Harris Logo with the HBC logo for the desktop short cut This enhancement has been implemented : Replace the Harris Logo / Name with the HBC logo / Harris Broadcast name in the splash screen This enhancement has been implemented. Also adds the tag line: Harris Broadcast is an independent company not affiliated with Harris Corporation : Replace the Harris Logo / Name with the HBC logo / Harris Broadcast name in the Help About screen This enhancement has been implemented. Also adds the tag line: Harris Broadcast is an independent company not affiliated with Harris Corporation Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 25 of 39

Defects Fixed Defects Fixed List of Defects The following defects were fixed in this release. Note: These defects were tested at a development level, a QA level, and may have been released to one or more customers in the form of a test-release version. In some cases, these could not be tested by Harris Broadcast and have been validated at an affected site. Defect ID Description 2471 If you configure a FTP Proxy object and designate it as a Resource manager, you cannot change the Resource manager to another Proxy even if you delete the original proxy. This has been addressed by implementing the following changes: - Creating a single sites collection shareable between different instances of FTP proxy object. - Making of the set of variables to be shareable. This excludes fields value synchronization between different instances. - Fix the issue with Designated Resource Manager checkbox state by adding an addition check in object destructor. Note: Case 2471 was merged into the stream under case Since it is not possible to configure the Breakaway device, there should not be a Properties configuration option for it Miranda imc does not switch with IS750 driver and IS750 MCS Subdev. This has been addressed by changing the ADC driver from using the IS-750 StillStore to using the ADC Miranda PresMaster driver. {$DEFINE USE_OXTEL_PRESMASTER} Additional Setup Information: Also in the IS-750, Miranda engineers configured it to use the PresMaster protocol. All switching then worked OK (via the NV-9000 router) controlled by ethernet from the IS-750. The ADC PresMaster driver connects directly to the IS-750 using RS-422 & the IS750 is set to use the PresMaster 38,400. Note that the 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 26 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description PCS-001 is no longer needed. ADC DB-9 IS750 RJ-45 3 TX+ -> 3 RX+ 8 TX- -> 6 RX- 7 RX+ <- 1 TX+ 2 RX- <- 2 TX- The IS-750 then has Ethernet control to the Miranda router NV-9000 System controller with an NV-8280 Router (288x576) in GMM's case. In the A/V Switching settings just use Input 1 to 10 (as per the names configured on the imc panel) and Output 1 for each imc. The imc will automatically map to the correct crosspoints on the router In the Config Tool for the NEXIO VR driver, Disk status displayed an incorrect initialized port setting When using the NEXIO IP driver the +1 button on the control panel works incorrectly. Each pressing of this button, doesn't increase the duration. The +1 button works after invoking the -1 button. Once the duration starts counting down again, then the +1 button goes back to not working Protect Pool Device: Swap between Main and Pool device is performed after the Hold button is pressed Protect Pool Device: Protect disk waits too long when the Main disk faults close to the end of an event When using the NEXIO IP driver the Shuttle button in the Media Client Prep forms doesn't work: time code is not changed and clip is not reviewed Protect Pool Device: Protect disk should start playing without any delays if it has time for cueing Protect Pool Device: Incorrect router switching is performed when the main and one of the protect devices become unreachable Protect Pool Device: Incorrect behavior of Pool device after Protect device 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 27 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description started to play. First A event after AU is played correctly from Protect disk. At second A event the Protect disk stops to play, duration countdown is stopped, but the pool keeps playing event. At third A event the runway list is filled with events and protect start to play ADC IconStation XML Driver fails to query/update new or updated IconStation salvos. The IconStation XML Driver requires re-initialization via config-tool diagnostic tab to retrieve IconStation Salvos. By implementing a change notification for salvos that was implemented after the IconStation offline v2.4 SP1 release for use in communicating with the Salvo Editor Nexio IP Driver: It is not possible to record a segmented event if Nexio storage already has a clip with the same ID The IconLogo driver constantly generates error messages when in the "No Dev" status. Now when the driver detects that there is "No Dev", no errors are reported There are Control issues on some Transmission Lists when List Redundancy (LR) and Synchro Server (SS) are used together. These problems are not seen with List Redundancy when Synchro Server is not running. - When LR is running alone both Master Lists correctly control both Slave Lists. - When SS is configured to modify the events from the Source List (the 1st Master List) onto the Destination List (the 2nd Master List) the Slave Destination List does not cue when the Source List is threaded. The Master Destination List does cue when the Source List is threaded. - Once the Slave Destination List is synced via an Immediate re-sync with the Synchronization Client, then it can be controlled by the Master Source List when moving, replacing, and skipping events, but does not unthread when the Master Source List is unthreaded A/V switching for EMPTY Events not working with newly built INI files. This occurred because switch only names (Switch Only 1, Switch Only 2 and etc.) in the Switch Only Device (missing) are replaced with the event ID when it is start playing. This has been addressed by saving and keeping the real switch only names Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 28 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description Protect Pool Device: Switching doesn't work if the Main disk is unassigned from the list Protect Pool Device: Pool device works incorrectly after losing connection with Main device on the AU-event ProtectPool: Sometimes after restoring connection, the Protect device starts to play an event with an incorrect duration. This has been addressed by the fix implemented for case When using the Nexio IP driver, in the scenario where an A event is followed by and AO event, the AO event goes into a "Ran short" state (i.e. The AO event decreases its duration while it is in STOP state and then goes into Ran short state after 2-3 seconds.). This has been addressed by ensuring the event has a STOP status after receiving a Stop command, but not when a Transmission List was threaded (an event in second head of VD has a STOP status when it is first CUED, but not played) Protect Pool device: Nexio IP: Switching doesn't work if Main disk fails Handle leakage with NexioGPI driver occurs if GPI port is closed on LLM. This has been addressed by implementing a special method to reestablished connection called ReConnect Protect Pool device: Protect Pool feature doesn't work with short events. The Protect Disk has status PLAY in the Transmission List, but events aren't playing Protect Pool Device: Sometimes switching doesn't work if a pool device contains more than 1 Protect disk Protect Pool Device: ProtectPool works incorrectly with 2 Main Disks, 2 Pool Devices and 1Protect Disk with IP driver. The first and the second events have status PLAY in the playlist. Clip doesn't play on the Monitor. This has been addressed by the fix implemented for case IconLogo: FDN/FUP/CDN commands don't work for IconLogo device. Only Load command works Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 29 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description Nexio IP: Video disk does not work correctly as a source device in Media Client. This has been addressed by the fix implemented for case Device Server sends as-run messages for Secondary record events twice. Also, the following rules were applied for the record events login options: - 'Log Record Events' - this option affects only primary record events logging and must not affect secondaries (secav-r or secrec) - Log 'Secondary Record' - this option affects only secondary record events (srec) logging and must not affect primaries. - For secondary audio-video events with R (record) modifier logging depends on Sec. Audio/Video options only. - No one of record events have to be logged twice, whatever options are enabled Configurations to the Nexio IP Driver on a Versio done using the general release ADC Config Tool do not save. However, the Config Tool that was built with the Versio Device Server can save these configurations. Versio DS builds with six channels of Nexio defined had this problem. The general release Config Tool does save configurations of Versio Device Server builds when they have eight channels of Nexio defined Device Server Diagnostic Logging: MAXLOGFILESIZEINI=100 and DISKREMAINDSIZEFORLOGINI=1024 values not being created automatically in the [Devices] section of ADC1000NT.exe. Also, an access violation occurs when DISKREMAINDSIZEFORLOGINI value is reached. This has been addressed by pausing the logging when the DISKREMAINDSIZEFORLOGINI value is reached, and then start logging again if free space appears in the disk CH Requester requests both primary and secondary events even though its associated VDCP port plays secondary events only When the title field of a USD2 sdat event is changed the data changes in the title field but the previous data is sent When using Duration Based lookaheads with List Redundancy, primary video-server and switch-only events that are registered and blue on both primary and slave list will occasionally unregister and turn red/missing on slave list Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 30 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description This has been addressed by modifying the logic responsible for changing the lookahead. This fix is applicable to the Device Server Secondary Data Event With Data has wrong color if it has incorrect data or an associated device is unassigned. This has been addressed by adding a new check box Request primaries to allow selecting to request (checked) or do not request (unchecked) primary events like secondary ones on CH Requester Properties dialog screen in the Config Tool. Check Request primary off in order to not request primary event with CH requester Note: By default for compatibility with old version the box is checked on Multiple Secondary A/V Disk events with blanked On Times start consecutively once the first one starts via the Second button on the control panel. This has been addressed by removing the autoplay event feature if an event is secondary AV and has empty OA time Exception logger enhancements and defects. Changes include: - Exception report file is now always unlocked. The Exception logger now does not block exception report file, so it became possible to view exception report in web browser and copy the report while Device Server application is still running. - Changes to thread state extraction routine improve Exception logger system stability Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 31 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description - Critical section safety improvements - Exception stack trace: Exception logger now writes full stack trace to report file Versio Device Server sends IconStation repeated FireSalvo commands causing it to lose Communications with the Device Server. This has been addressed by clarifying verification: if Back-time value is zero, Play command should be sent when ElapsedFrames = Back-time value and it is end of preroll. This same verification is already implemented in Nexio IP VD ADC Services: Device Server memory is leaking when it is registered in List Service and Switch Only (missed) device is playing Versio Device Server sometimes gets into a state where Clients cannot connect to it, there are no connections displayed via View/Connections, and it generates an Access Violation when the application is closed. This has been addressed by making the following changes: - The Device Server shows an error message when it fails to use server port. - The default value for server port was changed from to in order to exclude it from dynamic port range. To comply with Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) recommendations, Microsoft has increased the dynamic client port range for outgoing connections in Windows Vista and in Windows Server The new default start port is 49152, and the default end port is This is a change from the configuration of earlier versions of Windows that used a default port range of 1025 through It applies to Windows Server Device server saves the server port number into NETWORK.ini configuration file when it shutsdown. The section example: [Server] Server Port= Initialization of Networking in DS was modified. The first step now is creation of server socket. If this step succeeds DS continues initialization and creates multicast receive and senders. To Modify the Port Number: 1) Following steps should be used to modify port number: 2) Shutdown DS. It will save actual value for port number. 3) Open network.ini file and modify port number. Save and close it Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 32 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description 4) Restart DS ADC Air Client Transmission List became unthreaded and unresponsive. This has been addressed by implementing the following changes: - Switch only device was modified in order to have more checks for card number. Now it checks if the card number is valid and doesn t go out of bounds (1..4). Moreover, try-except block was added to the code that accesses GPI drivers. - Command queue (insert/modify/delete) of base object for lists was modified in order to be more stable Exception logger enhancements and defects. This has been addressed by case Changes include: - Exception report file is now always unlocked. The Exception logger now does not block exception report file, so it became possible to view exception report in web browser and copy the report while Device Server application is still running. - Changes to thread state extraction routine improve Exception logger system stability. - Critical section safety improvements - Exception stack trace: Exception logger now writes full stack trace to report file Device Server sends incorrect notifications to services when clearing done events The Device Server sends incorrect notifications to services when clearing done events. Done status of event isn t cleared in Client v5 because it doesn t receive correct notification from Device Server for this event. Case # implemented a change to treat cleared events as newly inserted events by changing event GUID. However, no related changes were done in Subscription mechanism for this, which, in turn lead to incorrect results: When event s GUID is changed, Device Server continues sending notifications about this event to services, but services can t find this event in their collection because such GUID is absent. This has been addressed by implementing the following actions: - Notify services that event with current GUID was deleted - Change event GUID - Notify services that new event with GUID generated in step 2 was inserted ADC Run Short on TX + SKIP list if clip is shorter than expected. Two clips back to back with durations longer than the disk duration, cause the 2014 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 33 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description second clip to be skipped. This occurs when the difference between the real duration and the list duration is 1 frame, only. When the difference is 2 frames or more then the issue is not reproducible. Now the driver does not send a stop command when next play is already issued. This will not affect the playback, because the event is already finished and the next one is started The Versio Device Server must not send audio-track-map presets. This is necessary since, currently, this is overwriting Dolby-Decode mappings which are newer than ADC UI implementation. This has been addressed by commenting out the SetAudioRoutingMask command. Now this command is no longer sent VDCP behaves differently under Device Server v m because the driver should have the delay between starting of cueing process and the real sending of the cue command. This delay was removed. The solution is to replace the changes from the driver code to Protect Pool Device code. Note: Case was merged into the stream under case Device Server goes into No login status after frequent reconnections to List Service. On restarting the List Services the Device Server goes into No login status, all clients disconnect, and cannot connect again. This occurs when something is changed in Network, such as Device Servers are restarted, Services are restarted, information in lists are deleted/added, etc When an event is dragged and dropped to change the order, the Flexsync control panel does not indicate the difference between the lists. This has been addressed by adding minor functionality to the Device Server API: the Device Server is now able to count list lock approaches and provide the value of this counter to the client on demand. List Duplication polls this counter and so detects if the list had been locked. To provide the compatibility of the new Air Client with old Device Server (without the new command) appropriate logic is added to the Air Client : when working with the old Device Server the old list change detection mechanism will be utilized Make VMCS Driver more tolerant to network disconnects. A disconnection of mis-configuration of the Versio Master Control Switcher driver results in handle leakage. The device being not accessible should not result in the Device Server crashing. This has been addressed by modifying the reconnection logic to use a special function of the client called ReConnect Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 34 of 39

Defects Fixed Defect ID Description Make IconStation XML Driver more tolerant to network disconnects A disconnection of mis-configuration of the IconStation XML Switcher driver results in handle leakage. The device being not accessible should not result in the Device Server crashing. This has been addressed by modifying the reconnection logic to use a special function of the client called ReConnect Sometimes notifications to services are lost because of wrong network packet size. This is accompanied by message in DS Exception log: TIPv6TCPConnection.ProcessSendQueue Object of tnonobjectprotocol class will not be sent due to bad size= The Sync displayed on the Device Server is toggling between Nexio SYNC and PC Clock when there are no network connections between the IconStation and the IconStation XML Driver and/or the VMCS and the VMCS Driver. Sync is displayed correctly when the network connections are present. This occurs with both the general and Versio Device Server builds. This has been addressed by removing from the VMCS driver the section of code used to synchronize access to TCP client between Background and Interrupt threads. Also, for background thread performance, added support of manual reconnection. Note: Case was merged into the stream under case The background color of the duplication status is not updated until the mouse rolls over it Add the list lock attempt counter and the API command to access its value. The value changes from 0 to 255 and then starts from 0 again Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 35 of 39

Known Issues Known Issues List of Known Issues The following list contains known issues in this release. Defect ID Description Air Client Connections used by Services don't match what is allowed by the Usercons. As per usercons, the Versio software for Device Server has only 3 Air Client logins enabled, but the Services are using 6, plus one coming from a v4 Air Client With the DTP Insertion driver Qualifiers configuration the "No events less than" option works incorrectly. The event remains blue event after correction. Workaround: Cut and paste the event in the list again. Then the color of the event will be correct Logging of source sources/destinations larger than 255 reports incorrect value for Platinum Router Driver. It seems the logging counter resets at 255 and starts counting sources from 1 and destinations from Compiling functionality doesn't work when an operator uses secondary event "compile ID" Compile List: Sometimes CURRENT.cpl is not rewritten, after changing compile list and clicking on button Auto A NEXIO port controlled by an Extended ID VDCP driver fills the diagnostic log in the Config Tool with line after line of unnecessary data ("mediastatuschange" messages), making the logs unusable In the Config Tool: List Assignments-List-Properties -Options- "Thread Time" value is saved incorrectly Maestro driver: Manual Intervention Errors are generated for secondary Audio Over events that are offset from the primary event Maestro driver: No Manual Intervention Errors are generated when changing sources on the Program Bus IconStation: External Control: Tag command writes, but doesn't apply new changes to Crawl Nexio IP driver doesn't record segmented clip with Secondary events Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 36 of 39

Known Issues Defect ID Description Problem controlling Sony VTR HVR-1500A. It was impossible to do a frame accurate recording using the new compact Sony HD VTR model HVR- 1500A. If setting "Frames to Record Early" on the encoder to greater than +/- 10 frames, the encoder will CUE and RECORD ok the 1st time, but afterwards, refuses to CUE. This required deleting and rebuilding the encoder device in the configuration tool to get it to CUE again. Workaround: Use STTC and specify a longer than needed duration, then trim clip after encoding. Note: The issue occurring on HD recordings has been reported before on FB# and closed as a 3rd party issue. The Frames to Record early issue remains Some of Error messages generated when using the N+M feature are duplicated or are not correct. Two Master Media Failure Protect Copy Switched errors are generated, displayed, and logged for each single occurrence of a Pool Device taking over from a failed Disk on a Transmission List. Master Media Failure Protect Copy Switched errors are generated for one, and sometimes both, of the other Transmission Lists with Pool Devices assigned to them, (neither of which experienced a Disk failure and were running correctly when these errors were generated), when the 2nd Pool Device is used, but not on these two Lists "Send Record early" option works incorrectly after crash recording; the Record command is sent 1 frame before event status becomes RECORD. Note: After crash recording this option is dropped to default value. To control the time of the record command, NXOS can be used to check real status of the record channel. Workaround: Re-initialization can be used after Crash record. After that command to channel will be sent at proper time when recording using Air Client IconMaster: Option Do not remove manually enabled keyers works incorrectly. No error messages are generated The status of the Pool device between the windows "device status" and transmission list is different. Status in Device Status window (Cue, Cue)is different from the status in transmission list (Play, Cue) Disconnect of multiple Air Clients affected the scheduled times of all playlists. The timing on MAIN play lists jumped by 3 seconds 9 frames. All paths on the main jumped by exactly the same amount, but standby play lists were unaffected Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 20-February-2014 Page 37 of 39
