4 ADC Air Client v ADC Air Client v What is in this Release? This provides a summary of the new functionalities, enhancements added, and defects fixed in the ADC Air Client v since the last release (v4.25). Note: These defects and enhancements were tested at both a development level and QA level, and may have been released to one or more customers in the form of a test-release version. Stability Note: ADC system stability changes implemented in the v12.22m and 4.22M maintenance builds have been rolled up into the ADC v12.23/4.23 release. For details see ADC v12.22m/4.22m Maintenance s. IMPORTANT: With Air Client v4.23 and higher the Borland Database Engine (BDE) is not required. (Enhancement: ) IMPORTANT: Support for ADC v11 is dropped with the release of ADC Air Client and Media Client v4.23. ADC Air Client and Media Client v4.23 only work with ADC v12. IMPORTANT: When upgrading Air Client and/or Media Client, DO NOT re-use their INI files. It has been found that re-using INI files can result in a variety of operational problems. IMPORTANT: The ADC 12.26/4.26 release experienced an abnormally long delay. The DevExpress migration to Delphi XE introduced code issues that took a significant amount of time to resolve. This additional investment will benefit all future versions of the ADC core components, by allowing for the addition of modern technologies such as HTML 5 directly to the system. Minimum Requirements The following are minimum system requirements for ADCv12 Automation system components as of the release of this document. Automation Network Consideration: When using the NEXIO IP driver, to take advantage of the Extended Device Storage Window view on the ADC Clients the NEXIO and the ADC Clients must be on the same LAN. If the NEXIO and ADC Clients are on separate LANs, then only the standard Device Storage Window view is available. Note: Customers supplying or upgrading their own workstation or File Server hardware for automation products must ensure they meet recommended minimum hardware specifications. 5 ADC Air Client v IMPORTANT: Rev-Lock Condition with version 12.21/4.21 release. Implementation of enhancement (Redesign of the List locking mechanism) in Device Server v21.21 has resulted in a rev-lock condition. This requires all software be updated to 12.21/4.21 or higher release levels when upgrading or installing ADC system software. Supported Database The following databases are supported: SQL 2008, SQL 2008 Express, SQL 2012, SQL 2012 Express SQL 2014, SQL 2014 Express Supported OS Level ADC Device Server v12.18 and higher and Client v4.18 and higher support operation on 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Server Requirements Type Hardware Software Operating System Network Interface Card Requirements Device Controller (CHP chassis) with Intel Pro1000GT NICs. Note: Do not use the NICs on the CPU board. Current Device Server v12.26.xx release (Standard) Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Windows Server Device Sever v12 uses IPV6 Network Protocol. IMPORTANT: Ensure the Windows default Firewall is DISABLED on the Device Server, Air Client, Media Client and Config Tool. GigE Gigabit NIC and Ethernet switch is required Client Requirements Type Hardware Requirements Processor Pentium GHz or greater RAM For 32-bit OS: 1 GB RAM or higher, For 64-bit OS: 2 GB RAM or higher HD 80 GB Hard Drive or greater (Required: 25MB of free Hard Drive Space) (For Windows 7: 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)) 2 TCP 1000BT NICs Additional Intel Network Interface Cards may be required for systems connecting to external networks, or a database using 2017 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 25-May-2017 Page 5 of 12

7 Enhancements Enhancements List of Enhancements The following enhancements were implemented in this release : Allow Event Headers show a Done color status With this enhancement, when Event headers enter the Done events area their status shows "DONE" and their color changes to reflect this status. The color attributes match the existing configuration set for Done events. ADC-96 / FB : Qualify Windows 10 OS for Client Applications This enhancement qualifies Windows 10 OS for the following ADC Client applications: Media Client, Air Client, ADC Config Tool, LRCC, and Synchro Server Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 25-May-2017 Page 7 of 12

8 Defects Fixed Defects Fixed List of Defects The following defects were fixed in this release. Defect ID Description Copy/Paste does not work if Resource List is used and the Air Client uses multi-server login and connected to 2 or more Device Server. Ribbon buttons begin to blink and Copying does not work A black frame appears randomly on the Air Client. The fix is undergoing field validation Inserting many events into a list takes a long time (~15-20 seconds) Function "Adjust Duration" doesn't work if the option "Update Events with valid SOMs" is disabled. Note: If DF is used then the new DUR will be counted per DF value When performing a Skip to Next action, Air Client reports the error "Can't thread event of N type". A review of the reported issue indicates the system behaved correctly. Now the error is not displayed, but is written only to the Error log Using <Control + F1> to hide the ribbon tool bar causes the option on the ribbon to become disabled With the Adjust Durations When SOM Changes option enabled, changing the SOM for segmentation purposes results in the duration being incorrectly calculated Selecting a list with "Resources->View List" does not move focus to that List. 9 Defects Fixed Defect ID Description window among opened windows, it brings this window to front When selecting multi segments via the Select Segments window, the up/down arrow no longer selects the segments GMT FAILED events can't be replaced with the find/replace function Ripple Time fails if it is used while Revise mode is active on another Client machine If more than one playlist is currently open, opening the pull list window locks the Air Client When some list windows are open, the Air Client can only be closed by killing the process in Task Manager Vertical scrolling works incorrectly (i.e. the last record is on top) when secondary events are hidden J.I.P Event and Breakaway Event works incorrectly. On return a first event has an SOM as it appeared in the Breakaway list instead of being modified to reflect the time it had been in the Breakaway list The AsRun Log default folder path changes every time a list is loaded With the "E" column (Transition Effects) in Revise mode, the chosen Transition Effect isn t highlighted and it is difficult to select one by keyboard arrows. Button order was restored by assigning their TabOrder property. Now the chosen Transition Effect is highlighted and it is possible to choose it by keyboard arrows It is impossible to configure MI Additional fields. This has been addressed by implementing the following changes: - Fields are editable. Additional more info can be configured. - Database name is not used in the name of the configured MI field. - There are now only ADC automation tables available for selection Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 25-May-2017 Page 9 of 12

10 Defects Fixed Defect ID Description System and supplemental tables are not displayed. - In the Edit Field dialog there is no Database field anymore. It was removed because the ADCDB database connection module works only with the one configured ADC automation database AC: Duration of playing event isn't changing if Tally colors is enabled. This has been addressed by adding ON AIR or ON LINE event status values to statuses list for duration calculation AC: Focus constantly jumps to on-air event while it is playing. Now, if the window is scrolled until the playing event is not visible, the list will jump back to the on-air event (with on air focus enabled) when the event starts playing Close/Max./Min. buttons disappear from the Windows Title bar "Days To Keep" option of As Run logger doesn't work correctly because of regional date formats Occasionally, Air Client s Verify against DB doesn't work Help button doesn't work in Select Segment dialog. ADC-202 When a Pull List is done, the missing events are displayed in the Pull List with a white foreground color on a grey background. Customer reports that when a Pull List event number is selected, the background color, which used to change to purple, now remains grey, when an event number is selected. This has been addressed by adding the Multiselect property to the display grid and resetting default colors to reflect version 4.24 settings. Customer reports that Air Client unexpectedly crashed after an operator used the Calculate Durations on a commercial break near the end of a playlist, and then used Ctrl-Home to jump back up to the top of the playlist Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 25-May-2017 Page 11 of 12

12 Known Issues Known Issues List of Known Issues The following list contains known P1 and P2 issues in this release. Defect ID Description 'List Index Out Of Bounds' error appears when scrolling through a transmission list while deleting a large number of clips from storage. ADC-129 Customer reports that if AirClient is opened with one playlist (with switched on AsRunLog) and then another playlist is opened, the countdown timer for DUR freezes for several seconds while the second playlist is opening. ADC-292 ADC-351 / FB ADC-355 / FB ADC-375 ADC-382 ADC-388 / FB ADC-540 ADC-768 ADC-785 ADC-810 Occasionally, Air Client disconnects from Device Server. Offline List opening takes too much time. The task takes in about 1 minute on fast PC and a few minutes on a slow PC. Copying/Pasting does not work if the title field of a playlist had previously been copied. AC: "Hide Secondary" doesn't work with and offline list. Delete "Use Content Color Feature" checkbox. Sometimes the Ribbon Tab (Calculate Duration button) starts to blink preventing an operator from using hotkeys, such as Delete, Ctrl+c, and Ctrl+v. Workaround: 1) Restart Air Client, 2) Change focus between lists. Memory leaks stop Air Client functionality when GMT Pull list is used. Paste function stops working after trying to paste event with enable Warn On Insert Before OnAir. The Warn On Insert Before OnAir function works incorrectly when 'Sec Before OnAir' value is from 16 to 30.
