4 Part list Easily toggle part transparency in the new column Recognize parts that are out of bounds directly from the part list; they are marked in red Customize parts sorting: drag and drop parts in the list, and save the new order Select all visible parts in one click

5 Perforator & Label tags workflow Create a preview of your perforations or label tags Edit the parameters before applying them Find the desired placement by translating the preview Manage the tags library directly from the Label tags dialog

6 Machines library (My machines) Drag and drop machines in the list to customize their priority Machines priority is used for platform scene creation Manage your machines by clicking the right mouse button on a machine Set default scenes to automatically load platform scenes when starting a new Magics session Create a completely new machine

7 Build time estimation Keep a close look to the estimated build time directly on the scene Receive immediate feedback on how your transformations impact the estimation New Build time estimation page Manage your teaching platforms for all machines directly from the main interface Easily recognize platforms missing teaching information, and assign it any time

8 Performance improvements Performance has been improved for several features, including: Shrinkwrap 3D Nester Cone support generation Smarter undo/redo and autorecovery saving, which improves the general performance of Magics

9 Software updates Get notified when a new Magics or MatConvert version is available A notification will automatically appear when starting Magics Update your software at any time from the Options & Help ribbon

11 Cut or punch Lap joint cut: create a one-step cut to easily fit the pieces back together after printing Around an entire section contour Between two selected points of a section contour Option to automatically color parts resulting from cut (Advanced options)

12 Hollow: shell tab Mark the surfaces that you would like to remove and create a hollowed part with an open side Reinforce the border of the open side to increase strength or add stability Combine the hollow operation with triangle reduction, to optimize the mesh of the resulting part

13 Honeycomb structures Improve your parts for 3D printing and generate a honeycomb structure inside them Reduce weight and material usage while preserving strength and functional use Select the direction of the infill structure Create an open side by removing the marked surfaces

14 Tools enhancements Label New options for text alignment inside the label area: top/middle/bottom and left/center/right Mass label Customize parts placement with the new array placement options The preview of parts arrangement will help you visualize the results Translate: translation origin Translate multiple selected parts as a group with a common origin or as separate parts with different origins Prop generation Create props with 90 angle snapping Shortcut for fast props removal

15 Automatic placement Support presence is now taken into account for optimal part placement Invert the X and Y direction in case you have machines with different origins (only available for option Minimal X and Minimal Y) Choose the rotation angles of your parts, depending on their geometry Options for 15, 30, 45, 90 angle Set small part intervals to fit more parts on the platform

16 Textures Edit textures Easily switch between textures files already loaded in the project Input translation values for texture placement Rotate 90 degrees or flip your textures with only one click Update textures Automatically reload textures after editing the original texture file in an external software

17 Colors Toggle triangle colors Show or hide part colors to easily recognize flipped triangles and bad edges Color per vertex Vertex colors are preserved when performing geometry-changing operations Pick the color of a part with color per vertex and reuse it to color other triangles No shade visualization mode Show or hide rendering shadows from your parts
