With the launch of Version 8.5 of the Rational AppScan portfolio, some AppScan offerings are replaced with new offerings that allow clients to scale dynamic, static and hybrid analysis throughout their security and development teams. Clients who have purchased these withdrawn products are entitled to the newer offerings at no cost. AppScan Enterprise Edition Rational AppScan Enterprise Edition continues to be the platform for centrally managing application security testing and integration into the software development lifecycle. To evolve with client needs, the new AppScan Enterprise Server now provides the central management server for both dynamic application security testing (DAST or black box) and static application security testing (SAST or white box). Clients who have purchased Rational AppScan Enterprise Edition Server and are on active maintenance are entitled to the new Rational AppScan Enterprise Server and three licenses of Rational Dynamic Analysis Scanner. Rational AppScan Enterprise Edition User licenses have been renamed to Rational AppScan Enterprise Dynamic Analysis User with no change to the part numbers or loss of functionality. By separating the DAST scan agent from the central control and reporting server, the new AppScan Enterprise Server provides the base platform for DAST, SAST or both. Clients now have a base platform to initially deploy either SAST or DAST and later expand their application security testing to include both approaches. 2 AppScan Reporting Console Clients who have purchased Rational Reporting Console and are on active maintenance are entitled to the new Rational AppScan Enterprise Server Basic. AppScan Enterprise Server Basic provides all the functionality of Reporting Console for up to 10 concurrent users. Reporting Console Users can be migrated to AppScan Enterprise Reporting Only Users. With AppScan Enterprise Server Basic clients can easily upgrade to enterpriselevel dynamic application security testing (DAST or black box) or static application security testing (SAST or white box). DAST upgrades are available by adding AppScan Enterprise Dynamic Analysis Scanner and AppScan Enterprise Dynamic Analysis Users. SAST upgrades are available by adding AppScan Source for Security. TradeUp parts are available for clients to upgrade from AppScan Enterprise Server Basic to AppScan Enterprise Server. AppScan Source Standard Core Clients who have purchased Rational AppScan Source Edition Standard Core and are on active maintenance are entitled to the new Rational AppScan Enterprise Server Basic. AppScan Enterprise Server Basic provides all the functionality AppScan Source Edition Standard Core plus the functionality of Reporting Console for up to 10 concurrent users. AppScan Build Edition AppScan Build Edition is a bundle of other offerings - AppScan Source for Automation and AppScan Standard. Clients who have purchased AppScan Build Edition and are on active maintenance are entitled to stand-alone licenses of AppScan Source for Automation and AppScan Standard. There is no loss of functionality by migrating to the two separate offerings. AppScan Express Edition AppScan Express Edition delivers the same functionality as AppScan Standard Edition with an authorized user license. Clients who have purchased AppScan Express clients and are on active maintenance are entitled to a new authorized user single install license of AppScan Standard Edition.
