4 What s Hot for February BLACKBERRY 9790 The new Blackberry 9790 is the latest addition at the top end of the RIM range, packing a 1GHz processor and a 2.45-inch touch screen. A slimmed downed version of the 9780, it s not the largest Blackberry about, so it fits nicely in the hand. Despite this super slimming diet, the 9790 has lost none of the substance that made the 9780 a special handset, the keyboard is fitted into the tiny chassis of the 9790 but with slightly raised buttons its actually more user friendly than the The 9790 has all the features of the other top RIM handsets, including NFC, the brilliant Blackberry 7 operating system, and the 5 megapixel camera with 640 x 480 VGA recording. The new processor allows the new RIM models to perform four times faster than their predecessors, bringing the Blackberries firmly back into play for browsing and downloading. 5 What s Hot for February NOKIA C2-01 Although not a brand new release, the tried and trusted little Nokia has dominated the budget end of the phone market. It is clear that there is still a massive market out there for people who want no more than a basic phone. The C2-01 is everything you want from a simple phone, small for your pocket, lightweight at a miniscule 89grams and a 3.2 megapixel camera benefiting from Nokia's extended-depth-of-focus feature with added video recording. The C2-01 will also attach very nicely with your computer, using the USB connection, one of many ports installed. The C2-01, though a simple phone, boasts a little something different from the competitors. You can download apps from the Nokia OVI store; it has preloaded social network capability and a customisable home screen. The C2-01 also benefits from 3G coverage, something not available on the majority of the competitors, this makes for speedy surfing on the web if you need to use it. Vodafone Business Single User Plan Vodafone business single user plan is available on 18 or 24 months contracts only. The tariff has data and text included, but you can also add additional data on top of the incentive allowance, plus two additional extras. New: What to connect Connecting to the Vodafone business sharer plan is similar to how you connect to how you connected business choice, whereby data and text is added to the voice tariff. Note that text bolt-ons are now shared across the group. Important: Current Tariff Closures and Information Vodafone business choice has closed for new connections. Vodafone business essentials have now closed for new connections. New: 2GB WIFI, Tethering, plus iphone Compatibility Data bundles on the new sharer and single user plans provide even greater value for customers, as they all include 2GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access, the ability to use compatible phones to tether the data connection, plus use them for iphones, as no specific iphone bolt-on is required. 19 2012 Business Voice tariffs Commissions Commissions are based on known Line rental spend. O2 pay 40% of the customers line rental spend to AdEPT Telecom for the duration of the customer s contract. To calculate total commissions (before hardware costs) multiply known Line rental by the number of contracted months and then by 0.4 to get 40%. Any hardware, Cash-back or Kit Fund must then be subtracted from the above amount and then AdEPT Telecom split the remaining with the Business Partner 60/40 in favour of the BP. Additional Bonuses Currently O2 are offering 40 for all Smartphone, iphone and BlackBerry Data connections where the customer is taking data for the first time, this applies to new and upgrades O2 are offering an additional 40 for converged ports in addition to the above data bonus. This 40 is applicable for all voice numbers that are ported to O2 with a data Bolt-on. Example; customer ports a number from Vodafone to O2 and applies an iphone Bolt-on Total bonus would be 80 (converged porting bonus + Data Bonus) O2 are offering up to 6 months free line rental to all new 24 month customers. This can be applied to one or all handsets on the account and in multiple different lengths (i.e. lead has 6 months FOC and sharers only receive 3 months FOC) This is a much more cost effective method of remunerating the customer as the total cost to AdEPT and the Business Partner is only 40% of the total remuneration. 29 Roaming and International: Voice World Rates Vodafone world rates are the basic charges a customer pays when abroad. The countries are grouped into zones. Usage in the European zone will cost no more than 30.52ppm to make a call or 9.52ppm to receive a call. All tariffs are applicable with Vodafone world rates but it must be stated in the contract. Vodafone Passport Designed for customers who expect to make long calls in Europe. Vodafone Passport charges customers an upfront fee of 64p (ex VAT) and then any minutes used are taken out of their bundle. Vodafone Passport must be stated on the contract if a customer wants it. Either Vodafone world or Vodafone passport must be applied to all handset within a group. They cannot be mixed and matched. 33 Vodafone Processes Upgrades All Vodafone customers, when they become eligible for either full term or Mid-Term resign are banded into categories of value. The higher their banding the higher the commissions we receive are. Data and Discounted tariffs are included in the Banding structure. Accounts are based on the overall value of the account, so the first and additional handsets are allocated an identical commission. No resign bonus will be paid on connections to 30 day SIM only tariffs or MBB 3, 6 or 12 month tariffs. All 24 month renewals are eligible to mid-term and will qualify for the additional 6% Revenue Share from the point of renewal. You can now extend a customer s contract after the mid-term window has closed, meaning you can renew your customers during months of their contract. 24 month customers can downward migrate their tariff one step in conjunction with a mid-term renewal where the contract is extended. Text/Data/ Bolt-ons cannot be removed mid contract. Migrations If you wish to migrate a customer any contractual obligations must be settled in full with the current Vodafone channel. This means that customers will start a new contract. Existing contract end dates cannot be mapped across channels. If a customer wishes to change channel/partner the following commercial terms will apply: Zero upfront commission Standard pay plan on-going commission (8%) for the first 12 months Mid-Term Renewal will be permitted* *The initial 12 months will be classified as a review period. At the end of this period the customer will be eligible for a mid-term renewal if both parties are happy to continue the relationship. Their license deployment volumes exceed any other mobile recording solution provider. Voxrecord solution has been commercially deployed since early 2009 and is documented in a BlackBerry case study. Voxrecord is easy to use with almost instant connections and a very smooth user experience. The compliance benefits of an application for mobile recording are that the Voxrecord application becomes the single point of control that can be monitored closely, direct from the secure, trusted BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) HOW? Voxrecord connects the Blackberry to the chosen call recorder on every call using mobile network 3- way calling. A second mobile call is made automatically to connect to the designated call recorder to facilitate recording. No recording takes place on the handset itself. When a call connects, Voxrecord puts both parties on hold momentarily (2-3 seconds) whilst the line recorder is connected. This is usually how Compliance Officers prefer calls to be recorded and stored. The solution can capture full CDR call logs, SMS, PIN and BlackBerry IM and make this data available for a call recording vendor to integrate into its search interface. By keeping call recording on-site, you keep full control over your data and its security. You also have control over your own hardware, system monitoring and support and can be in compliance with best practice, whether your requirement is for a handful of recorded mobiles or tens of thousands of recorded mobiles. Usually on-site recording also comes with Disaster Recovery sites, which can also be incorporated into the Voxrecord Enterprise solution. 54 Administration Requirements Contracts On every network we require a contract to be completed and forwarded to ourselves. It is imperative that they are completed correctly and accurately, failure to do so will result in delays and administration errors. If the customer is a limited company, please ensure that all details pertaining to the company are listed in the relevant section of the contract. Remember to include registered and trade address (if different), company registration number and company contact number (for credit checking, networks require a 01, 02, or 03 contact number, NGN s are not accepted). For sole traders and partnerships, please ensure that personal details such as date of birth and home address details are included. Please also ensure that all relevant addresses are listed should the customer have a different business/trade address. For new customers, all original paperwork must be with AdEPT before any deal is connected and/or despatched. For existing customers, original paperwork must be with AdEPT before any commissions will be paid. We may require originals before connection if requested by the network. Please also ensure that customers include number of employees and direct debit details, failure to do so will incur a monthly cost. 53 P a g e Call

55 Whilst information required by each network may vary, providing proofs is fairly standard. All networks request that we prove that we have correctly identified the customer and provide relevant proofs as listed below: Limited Company/Limited Liability Partnership/Charity/Government Purchase Order stating: Number of connections, term of contract, tariff, tariff cost, hardware and must be signed by authorised signatory (not pp d). It must also state company registration number registered address, trade address (if different) and company contact details. Sole Trade/Partnership (one of each from below) Signature Proof: Drivers Licence, passport or current credit/debit card (both front and back of card required) Address Proof: Drivers Licence, utility bill (not mobile), bank statement, council tax bill, credit card statement. (Drivers Licence cannot be used for both signature and address proof.
