My Top 5 Gallup Strengths translated to technology: 1. Strategic What am I trying to accomplish? What does this piece of technology do for me? 2. Maximizer How can technology help me get the task at hand done in the absolute most efficient manner? 3. Arranger How does all of the technology I have work together to make my life easier? 4. WOO How I sell technology to the attorneys in my firm! 5. Achiever Relentless pursuit to figure it all out! 1

2 How much is too much? Do you need it all? A PC, a laptop, an ipad, an iphone and an Apple Watch? Probably not. Personal Preference Mobility Real time synchronization Multiple screens/real estate Jenn s Rules No dumb questions. Ever. The person sitting next to you knows no more than you do about this stuff and they also think you know more than them. Just because! If you ask me a question, my answer might be I don t know, it s just the way it is. I am not a programmer, I am user. Trust technology. Cyber security is a concern of users and developers alike. The more current you keep your technology, in general, the lower the breach risk. You can t break it. Push buttons. Say yes. Allow access. It s okay, really. You can always change your mind later! 2

3 General Recommendations Keep your software on your devices and Apps to the most current version. General Recommendations When buying a new device, plan on a new one in two years. Buy enough memory, but don t over do it. 3

4 Apple ID & Touch ID Need to know your Apple ID and Password but only once with Touch ID The Touch ID is only available on iphones 5S, 6 (plus), ipad Air 2 & 3 Buy Apps with the Touch ID Moving & Deleting Apps 1. Press and hold any App until they all shake. 2. Drop on top of each other to create folders 3. Drag to different screens or home bar at bottom 4. Press x to delete App 4

5 Spotlight Search Get around your phone efficiently! Favorite tool: Spotlight Search Pull down from middle of phone to access. Customize order of results in Settings. Increase Font Size Tired of having to put your glasses on to read your ? Increase the font size! 5

8 Did you know? Close Apps Double click the home button to see which apps are open and swipe an App up to close it. Improves performance and conserves battery. Did you know? Darken Phone (invert colors) Triple click the home button to reverse the background and minimize disruption in a dark room. Alternative options available in Settings. 8
