These new 9910 products are compatible with the power requirements of: System i5 and p5 servers iseries, pseries, and OpenPower servers AS/400 and RS/6000 servers IBM TotalStorage solutions All 9910 Uninterruptible Power Systems include a premium Eaton-Powerware Five-Year Gold Plan warranty package that is designed to enhance the potential for a return on investment as compared to other power supplies available on the market today. IBM 9910 Model E64 (Powerware 9125) is a 6 kva, 208 to 240 V ac, rack-mounted or tower unit that helps protect your equipment up to 4200 watts. IBM 9910 Model E65 (Powerware 5125) is a 5 kva, single-phase, 3U low-profile, high-power, rack-mounted unit that helps protect your equipment up to 4,500 watts. IBM 9910 Model E82 (Powerware 9140) is a 10 kva, online double-conversion single-phase unit that helps protect your equipment up to 8000 watts in a 6U form factor. This true online, double-conversion device features Advanced Battery Management (ABM) technology which can double battery service life, load segments for scheduled shutdowns, extended runtimes, and a versatile design that allows the power system to be mounted in a rack or as a tower. The ability to add up to four optional extended battery modules extends battery runtimes. The ConnectUPS Web/SNMP/xHub card adapter or X-Slot Relay/Serial card expands control and monitoring of the power system and network devices. The E65 high-capacity, low-profile design allows the device to be mounted in a rack in just 3U of space. The ability to add up to four optional battery modules helps extend battery runtimes. The ConnectUPS Web/SNMP/xHub card adapter or X-Slot Relay/Serial card expands control and monitoring of the power system and network devices. The IBM 9910 Model E82 (Powerware 9140) 10 kva, single-phase Uninterruptible Power System protects equipment up to 8000 watts. The E82 unit uses Hubbell style 60 amp input and output connectors common with the PDU power cord feature The unit also provides four IEC 320 C19 outputs and supports up to four extended battery units (#6646) for extended run time. It also offer multiple communication protocols for serial connection as well as AS/400 relay communication. The 9910 Models E30, E33, and E65 include power cords to accommodate a variety of configurations. In addition, 9910 Models E30, E33, E64, and E65 include rails and hardware for easy installation into IBM racks. The 9910 Model E82 includes rails and hardware for easy installation into IBM racks. Powerware offers the X-Slot Relay/Serial Kit (#2939) with an AS/400 interface and serial cables to provide power save capabilities for i5/iseries/as/400 rack clients with an i5 and a Microsoft Windows, AIX, Linux, or other operating system server. If any of the above models are not ordered with the iseries and pseries rack, the client will be responsible for the installation of external cables, the power system module, and the battery module. When the 9910-E30 is employed in a tower configuration in NEMA-type countries, the E30 will include one NEMA-type PowerPass Distribution Module (PPDM), feature number 6570, which contains the following output (receptacle) connections. 10 6-15/ /29 L If the plug type selected for the equipment to be protected by the 9910-E30 is not contained in this table, change the plug type on the equipment to match plug types available with feature number Power electrical cable installation diagrams are at the following Web sites Feature 6644 (external battery module) The input power to the 6644 is DC and is provided by the E30. Connection of the 6644 DC cable (Anderson type DC connector) is the responsibility of the customer and is performed at installation. Feature number 6644 is a line-up-and-match cabinet connected to the E30 cabinet or installed in the rack with the E30. Communication cables: One server to power system serial TTY interface cable DB9M to DB9F (6 ft/1.8 m length) is included with the E30 (contained in the E30 Accessory Kit carton) for all (iseries and pseries) orders. The E30 includes a single serial port (DB9) contained on a removable ConnectUPS X-Slot interface card. Optional communications features (#2934 or #2939) can replace the single-port serial card. A maximum of one feature number 2934 or 2939 is supported. The optional feature number 2934 (ConnectUPS Web/SNMP/xHub card) includes one power system to Web card configuration cable RJ45 to DB9M (6 ft/1.8 m length). Note: This is required if using LPAR on pseries. Minimum: 0. Maximum: 1 per E30. The optional feature number 2939 (X-Slot Relay/Serial Kit) includes one iseries/as/400 to UPS interface cable (30 ft/9.2 m length) and one serial TTY Server to power system interface cable (6 ft/1.8 m). This feature number is required with iseries orders. Minimum: 0 per E30. Maximum: 1 per E30. This feature replaces feature Model E33 The input (mains) power connection to the 9910-E33 is an IEC-320-C20, 16 amp connector. The input (mains) power cord from the UPS to the utility (mains) is determined based upon the rack PDU, and country or locality. For those PDUs with other than the 6654 cord, feature number or 2973 is required. The E64 has only one L6-30 outlet. A PDU is required for an E64 in a rack. When the 9910-E64 is employed in a tower configuration in NEMA-type countries, the E64 requires one NEMA-type PowerPass Distribution Module (PPDM), IBM feature number 6571, which contains output (receptacle) connections described in the feature number 6571 output connection table. IBM will provide you with a shipping container for you to return your machine to a designated service center. A courier will pick up your machine and deliver it to the designated service center. Following its repair or exchange, IBM will arrange the return delivery of the machine to your location. You are responsible for its installation and verification. Customer Carry-In or Mail-In Service: You will deliver or mail, as IBM specifies (prepaid, unless IBM specifies otherwise) the failing machine suitably packaged to a location IBM designates. After IBM has repaired or exchanged the machine, IBM will make it available for your collection or, for Mail-In Service, IBM will return it to you at IBM's expense, unless IBM specifies otherwise. You are responsible for the subsequent installation and verification of the machine. Machine Exchange Service: IBM will initiate shipment of a replacement machine to your location. You are responsible for its installation and verification of operation. You must pack the failed machine into the shipping container that contained the replacement machine and return the failed machine to IBM. Transportation charges, both ways, are paid by IBM. You may be charged for the replacement machine if IBM does not receive the failed machine within 15 days of your receipt of the replacement. Non-IBM parts support Under certain conditions, IBM repairs selected non-ibm parts at no additional charge for machines that are covered under warranty service upgrades or maintenance services. IBM Service provides hardware problem determination on non-ibm parts (for example, adapter cards, PCMCIA cards, disk drives, memory) installed within IBM machines covered under warranty service upgrades or maintenance services and provides the labor to replace the failing parts at no additional charge. If IBM has a Technical Service Agreement with the manufacturer of the failing part, or if the failing part is an accommodations part (a part with an IBM FRU label), IBM may also source and replace the failing part at no additional charge.
