2 Introduction AC-DA28-AUHD is an 18GBPS, fu bandwidth HDMI2.0a (HDR) with HDCP2.2 eight-way HDMI spitter. Functionay, distributes the two input HDMI signas to eight HDMI outputs (two switchabe zones). AC-DA28-AUHD has the abiity of pre-emphasis and equaization. Mutipe cascaded AC-DA28-AUHD achieves ong distance transmission of HDMI signa of more than 15 meters even in 4K (HDR) resoution. The outstanding and proprietary cock jitter ceaner enabe this spitter to out preform the competition when in cascading mode no matter the signa is 4K or 1080P. AC-DA28-AUHD offers soutions for usage as a component of digita HDMI distributions and entertainment systems aso UHDTV/4K retai and genera show sites. Use in conjunction with UHDTV, UHD Projector, STB, UHD-BD, UHD Media Payer and in environment where noise, space and security are concerns. P/N: AC-DA28-AUHD 2 12V 2A Locking Power Suppy ( V input). 3 Mounting Ears Connections and Operations 1) Connect the HDMI input source into AC-DA28-AUHD 2) Connect the HDMI output equipment (Dispays) into AC-DA28-AUHD 3) Insert the DC side of 12V power suppy into AC-DA28-AUHD and then connect the AC side of the Power suppy into the wa outet. 4) Pugging in the unit automaticay powers up the device. & NOTE: Insert / Extract cabes genty. pg. 6

7 Pane Descriptions Front Pane Activity Dispay (Front): a) When Power is appied a ights fash BLUE and the machine begins to function. If no devices are pugged in, you can verify power by ooking at the zone A/B buttons on the right side of the unit, they shoud be it up bue. b) When the INPUT device is pugged in, the INPUT ight stays SOLID BLUE. c) When a sink (dispay) is pugged into an OUTPUT, the OUTPUT ight wi go SOLID. pg. 7

10 Quick Network Connect to Web Interface: Use the foowing steps to quicky and immediatey connect to the matrix switch: 1. Connect the LAN port into an active router port. 2. On most networks you can simpy type the Defaut IP address into any web browser. The Defaut IP Address is Web Interface: Switching Use this page to switch between inputs and outputs from the web interface. pg. 10

11 EDID Settings: The AC-DA28-AUHD uses the web interface for EDID management. The defaut EDID out of the box is 0:1080P 2Ch. Custom EDID settings are beow. 12 EDID Setting Cont. (Notes): Note1: *You can copy the EDID from any output and appy it to any input. Seect "Copy EDID from Output x" (x=1-8) then cick Appy. This wi copy the EDID from the dispay and appy it to the seected input. This new EDID wi be stored as "USER EDID 1". pg. 12

13 Web Interface: System Settings IP Settings: Set network settings such as: Static IP Subnet Mask Router IP TCP Port Enabe DHCP Port Aias Settings: Rename inputs and outputs for easy management. Each custom name is imited to eight (8) characters. RS-232 and TCP/IP Commands: The AC-DA28-AUHD can be controed with either RS-232 or TCP/IP commands. Certain switching or format configurations can ony be done using these commands. We recommend using either the MyUART (RS free) or Hercues (TCP/IP - free) apps as they are very easy to use for sending commands to the machine. MyUart is avaibe for downoad on our website For TCP/IP contro commands use Tenet Port 23. For RS-232, use a nu modem seria cabe adapter and set the seria communications to: 57600,n,8,1 (baud: 57600, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit) with no handshaking. 17 Maintenance To ensure reiabe operation of this product as we as protecting the safety of any person using or handing this device whie powered, pease observe the foowing instructions. Use the power suppies provided. If an aternate suppy is required, check votage, poarity and that it has sufficient power to suppy the device it is connected to. Do not operate these products outside the specified temperature and humidity range given in the above specifications. Ensure there is adequate ventiation to aow this product to operate efficienty. Repair of the equipment shoud ony be carried out by quaified professionas as these products contain sensitive components that may be damaged by any mistreatment. Ony use this product in a dry environment. Do not aow any iquids or harmfu chemicas to come into contact with these products. Cean this unit with a soft, dry coth. Never use acoho, paint thinner or benzene to cean this unit. Damage Requiring Service The unit shoud be serviced by quaified service personne if: The DC power suppy cord or AC adaptor has been damaged Objects or iquids have gotten into the unit The unit has been exposed to rain The unit does not operate normay or exhibits a marked change in performance The unit has been dropped or the housing damaged pg. 17

18 Support Shoud you experience any probems whie using this product, first, refer to the Troubeshooting section of this manua before contacting Technica Support. When caing, the foowing information shoud be provided: Product name and mode number Product seria number Detais of the issue and any conditions under which the issue is occurring Warranty If your product does not work propery because of a defect in materias or workmanship, AVProEdge (referred to as the warrantor ) wi, for the ength of the period indicated as beow, (Parts/Labor (10) Years), which starts with the date of origina purchase ( Limited Warranty period ), at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, or (b) repace it with a new or a refurbished product. The decision to repair or repace wi be made by the warrantor. During the Labor Limited Warranty period there wi be no charge for abor. During the Parts warranty period, there wi be no charge for parts. You must mai-in your product during the warranty period. This Limited Warranty is extended ony to the origina purchaser and ony covers product purchased as new. A purchase receipt or other proof of origina purchase date is required for Limited Warranty service. This warranty extends to products purchased directy from AVPro or an authorized deaer. AVPro is not iabe to honor this warranty if the product has been used in any appication other than that for which it was intended, has been subjected to misuse, accidenta damage, modification or improper instaation procedures, unauthorized repairs or is outside of the warranty period.
