Our Company is responsible for the proper application and management of the Nabors corporate brand. These identity standards, containing the specifications for each key application, are provided to ensure proper usage and reproduction. Always use the corporate and subsidiary logos in accordance with the standards outlined in this document. Modifying or altering the design in any way could weaken the impact of our brand. Should a specific need arise that does not appear within the standards, please contact Corporate Development for guidance. 5 IDENTITY STANDARDS CORPORATE LOGO The Nabors corporate logo is made up of a symbol and logotype. The logotype is the Company name ( ). The two approved logo configurations are shown below: Horizontal corporate logo preferred format NABORS INDUSTRIES LTD. Logo NABORS INDUSTRIES LTD. Symbol Logotype Stacked corporate logo secondary format NABORS INDUSTRIES LTD. Logo NABORS INDUSTRIES LTD. Symbol Logotype The logo should be considered a unit; the symbol and logotype should not be separated (unless approved by Corporate Development; see Special-Use Alternate Logos on page 1.4). Do not typeset the logotype. Always use the original digital logo files provided on our website at 1.1

6 IDENTITY STANDARDS PROTECTED SPACE REQUIREMENTS The protected space is the minimum amount of space surrounding the logo that must be kept clear of all other elements. By preventing text, other logos, areas of color or other images from interfering with the logo, the protected space will help to ensure the visual integrity of the Nabors brand. These protected space requirements also apply to the subsidiary logos. 1.2

7 IDENTITY STANDARDS MINIMUM SIZE REQUIREMENTS For print applications, the height of the symbol within the logo should not be reduced any smaller than.25" (or 6.35 mm) in height. For web applications, the height of the symbol should not be reduced any smaller than 30 pixels. These reduced sizes still allow for maximum legibility and brand identification. ALTERNATE SMALL-FORMAT LOGO (for special small-format print applications only) If a special application of the logo requires an even smaller format than the minimum size shown above (i.e.: a lapel pin or a pencil), the following alternate versions should be used. Note that the lines in the symbol have been enlarged to allow for maximum legibility under.25" (or 6.35 mm). These versions are not for general use and should only be used in very special circumstances. 8 IDENTITY STANDARDS SPECIAL-USE ALTERNATE LOGOS (for special applications only) The following versions of the Nabors corporate logo may only be used in special applications and permission from Corporate Development is required. Please submit details on usage of these logos to Corporate Development for approval before using. Alternate horizontal logo (used only in special applications) This logo has been simplified, using the symbol and NABORS text only, in a horizontal format. This version is used on some of the Nabors field materials such as coveralls patches, flags or shirts (see pages 3.2, 3.3, 3.8 and 3.9). Alternate centered logo (used only in special applications) This logo has been simplified, using the symbol and NABORS text only, in a vertical, centered format. This version is used on some of the Nabors field materials such as hard hats or ball caps (see pages 3.5 and 3.10). Alternate symbol-only logo (used only in special applications) Occasionally, the symbol from the Nabors corporate logo may be separated from the logo and used alone in special circumstances. Please contact Corporate Development for approval of usage. 1.4

9 IDENTITY STANDARDS BUSINESS DIVISION LOGO The Nabors business division logo is made up of a symbol and logotype. The logotype is the Business Division name ( Nabors Completion & Production Services Co. ). 10 IDENTITY STANDARDS SUBSIDIARY LOGOS Nabors is organized into a group of operating subsidiaries and each subsidiary s logo is based on the corporate logo, utilizing the symbol and the subsidiary logotype. The following standards outlined for the corporate logo also apply to the subsidiary logos: Protected Space Requirements Minimum Size Requirements Corporate Colors Correct Logo Usage Incorrect Logo Usage Examples of Subsidiary logos (for additional logos not shown here, go to and under Logos/Standards select Subsidiary Logos ) There is only one approved configuration for each subsidiary logo; it includes the symbol on the left, and the stacked logotype on the right (the NABORS name is always on the first line, followed by the remainder of the subsidiary name on the second line). Always use the original digital logo files provided on our website at Alternate logos for special small-format print applications are also available for each subsidiary on our website. 1.6

11 IDENTITY STANDARDS CORPORATE COLORS The two corporate colors for the Nabors logo are Pantone Matching System (PMS) reflex blue and black. The PMS version is the preferred color application. The symbol is the only element of the logo that is assigned PMS reflex blue. Pantone (PMS) black Pantone (PMS) reflex blue The Pantone (PMS) reflex blue reproduced here is a simulation of the actual ink color. For exact color match, refer to the Pantone matching system book or to an approved Nabors printed sample. Four-color process (offset or digital printing application) CMYK There may be occasions when the logo has to be reproduced in four-color process. The printer should match the corporate colors with the following process screen combination: C (cyan) = 100 M (magenta) = 75 Y (yellow) = 0 K (black) = 5 Digital (web or on-screen application) RGB For web and other on-screen applications, corporate colors should be matched with the following RGB combination: R (red) = 13 G (green) = 43 B (blue) =

12 IDENTITY STANDARDS LOGO FILE FORMATS The following logo file formats are available online on our website at Use the format that is best suited for the final logo application: EPS Macintosh format Offset/digital printing use or other specialty applications (i.e.: displays/signs or specialty products) Vector format w/ transparent background (can be scaled up or down) Positive and reverse versions provided in the following color modes: PMS CMYK (four-color process) Black & white This logo format is most often used to provide to vendors. Be sure to confirm the color mode needed, before providing to vendor. WMF Windows format Internal company use (i.e.: placement into MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, CorelDraw) Vector format w/ transparent background (can be scaled up or down) Positive and reverse versions provided in the following color modes: RGB Black & white Suggested logo format for placing into MS-Word or PowerPoint. To insert into these applications: 1. In your document, click where you want to insert the picture. 2. On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click From File. 3. Locate the picture file on your computer you want to insert. 4. Double-click on the picture file name and it will be placed in your document. GIF Universal format Online (web use) Raster format w/ transparent background (do not scale up; may be scaled down no smaller than the minimum size required for web). Three logo sizes are available (small, medium, large) Positive versions provided in the following color mode: RGB Suggested logo format for online (web) use. Use this logo format when placing on the Web. GIFs are saved with a transparent background and have a slightly smaller file size than jpgs. JPG Universal format Online (web use) Raster format (do not scale up; may be scaled down no smaller than the minimum size required for web). Three logo sizes are available (small, medium, large) Positive versions provided in the following color mode: RGB Another suggested logo format for online (web) use, however, this format does not have a transparent background. While this format may also be used in other software programs such as MS-Word or PowerPoint, the WMF format is suggested for best quality and sharpness. 1.8

15 IDENTITY STANDARDS INCORRECT LOGO USAGE The following are examples of incorrect usage of the corporate logo. These examples also apply to the subsidiary logos: Do not alter protected space requirements (i.e.: combining the logo with other text or graphics). 16 BUSINESS MATERIALS Our company s, stationery and forms are one of the most visible means of reinforcing our brand. They touch every part of our business, both internally and externally. Customers and suppliers see these business materials every day; it is vital that they reflect our brand through uniform application. The signature on company outgoing messages, replies and forwarded messages should be standardized. Use the information provided in this section to set up your signature. Printed stationery should be used for externally mailed correspondence. Two-color offset-printed letterhead, envelopes and business cards must be ordered through approved preferred vendors. Please contact Debbie Quick for this information. Stationery and form electronic templates (built in MS-Word) are available online on our website at These include: Letterhead Fax Memo These electronic templates (.dot files) can be placed in the MS-Office application templates folder for easy access when creating a new document; or, simply copy the content within the template and paste into a new MS-Word document, customize as needed and save as a separate file.

17 BUSINESS MATERIALS SIGNATURE Nabors signatures are to be standardized as shown below. Both versions shown should be set up in your program signatures to match this standard. Once configured, select the appropriate version based on your recipient. Most often, the short version is preferred, unless including the subsidiary name and address information will be helpful to your recipient.
