All the Adobe CS3 programs, except for Flash ad Dreamweaver, support PDF imports ad exports, ad these CS3 applicatios use the same Adobe PDF settigs. I Creative Suite 3, PDF exports ad imports are easier. IDesig CS3, as well as Photoshop CS3 ad Illustrator CS3, supports exports to PDF/X format, which is a reliable documet format used for commercial pritig. Adobe Creative Suite 3 Desig Premium: This icludes the same programs with the additio of Adobe Flash CS3 Professioal ad Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. Also, Adobe Photoshop CS3 is replaced with Adobe Photoshop CS3 Exteded. Both desig suites also iclude the commo additioal features of Adobe Bridge CS3, Adobe Versio Cue CS3, ad Device Cetral CS3. The Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collectio icludes just about everythig, except the kitche sik. We cover all the programs foud i the Desig Premium versio throughout this book, but although we get a little ito Web developmet, we do t cover the video products at all. I additio to the programs, you also get more tha 100 OpeType faces with the Creative Suite editios. As a stadaloe product, Photoshop has some very ice additios to a already feature-rich program. However, the advatages for usig illustratio programs together with other applicatios i the Creative Suite are sigificatly i favor of Adobe Illustrator. With Adobe s acquisitio of Macromedia, FreeHad may be discotiued. New impressive tools have bee added to Illustrator as well as some polish o editig features. Ico Paels: To save scree space, all docked tool palettes ca be collapsed ito ico paels located alog the right edge of the widow. They ca eve be set to self-collapse whe ot i use. Adobe IDesig CS3 IDesig is the cetral hub of your creative workflow. You brig together the images ad objects that you create i Adobe Photoshop CS3 ad Adobe Illustrator CS3. You ca import type created i a word-processig program, import from Adobe s ICopy, or set type i the IDesig Story Editor or i other ways. With IDesig s free-form ease of page layout, you ca lay out a desig for publicatio. You ca the export the IDesig documet as a PDF file suited for prit, Web hostig, electroic file exchages, or CD/DVD-ROM replicatio. It also allows you to cycle through the cotet to the place usig thumbails. Quick Apply: The Quick Apply palette works usig search letters ad provides a quick way to access commads, scripts, ad styles. It is great to see the iclusio of Flash ito Creative Suite brigig with it the ability to add motio graphics to Web ad olie projects.
