1 Barracuda Message Archiver Mobile App Instructions Android Instructions 1. Download and install the app for your mobile device. Here is the link to the app for Android devices: Android Enter your Address, Password, and Host information in the appropriate fields. a. Enter your DSCC address (i.e. smith@dscc.edu) b. Password is your regular DSCC password c. Host will be d. Press Login

2 3. To do a regular quick search press the magnifying glass icon, and you will be taken to a search field. Basic Search Field 4. Press the 3 lines or 3 dots in the upper right to access the Advanced Search options 5. Advanced Search allows the option of entering more search criteria. The more search information you know and provide, the better the results.

3 6. In this example, I have added the search criteria for Keywords, From, and After Date. I used quotation marks around itv schedule to get a specific return of a message that used both words in conjunction. Without the quotation marks it would return messages with keywords itv and also schedule; this would increase the number of messages in my result queue. 7. The result of the search gave me three items. Select a message to review its contents.

4 8. You are able to view the message, but are not able to open the attachment(s). You will see the paperclip in the upper right if the message has an attachment. 9. To view an attachment, you must press the three dots in the upper right corner, choose Resend To Me if you want to send it to your DSCC , or select Forward if you wish to choose another mailbox; these are the only two options that will include the original attachment. Reply and Reply All will take you to your app and function just like it would in Outlook.

5 Apple Instructions 1. Download and install the app for your mobile device. Here is the link to the app for Apple devices: Apple (iphone or ipad) Apple Enter your Address, Password, and Host information in the appropriate fields. a. Enter your DSCC address (i.e. smith@dscc.edu) b. Password is your regular DSCC password c. By default, the default host is archiver.barracuda.com, be sure to replace it with d. Press Login 3. To search, press the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen

6 4. Enter the information into the criteria fields to retrieve the message you are searching. In this example, I have added the search criteria for Keywords and From. I used quotation marks around itv schedule to get a specific return of a message that used both words in conjunction. Without the quotation marks it would return messages with keywords itv and also schedule; this would increase the number of messages in my result queue. 5. To include a date range press in the Date Range field and the Date Picker screen will appear. You have several builtin choices along with a Custom Range option. To choose the custom range option slide the toggle switch to the on position (the arrow in the picture is showing this option), and then press in the Start Date field. This will open a new window to select a date 6. Choose your date options, and tap Select Date. Repeat the process for the End Date. If the Custom Range option is selected there must be a Start Date and End Date. Once the two fields are populated, press Done at the top left.

7 7. The search results view looks and behaves like the ipad or iphone app. As you choose the different s, you will see the message preview to the right. If a message has an attachment, there will be a paperclip icon in the results pane. To view the full message, tap the < icon at the top of the screen. 8. To view an attachment, press the reply arrow in the top right of the message screen. This will open the sending options. 9. Choose Resend to Me if you want to send it to your DSCC , or select Forward if you wish to choose another mailbox; these are the only two options that will include the original attachment.
