Before we get too far into the webinar, we wanted to introduce you to a few of the tools. By clicking the orange arrow, you can open and close your control Panel The Audio pane provides audio information. By default you are joined to the Webinar via Mic & Speakers. Click Audio Setup to select your computer speaker or headset devices. If you prefer, you can join the audio via telephone by selecting Use Telephone, and the dialin information will be displayed, including an Audio PIN Currently, you are muted on this call, but we will have question/answer periods throughout the presentation and at the end. If you want to minimize the GoTo control panelto see more of the slides we ll be showing, click the small arrow you see circled here [move mouse to show!]. You can downloadthe a pdf of this PowerPoint in the Handouts section for your review. Everybody set? 2
You can type questions into the question box as we go along. Please note that questions submitted via the question box are visible to us, as facilitators, only not to the other participants. Our facilitators will be reviewing these questions and may respond to some directly. As always as facilitators, if we don t have the answer, we will research it and get back to you. Please feel freeto ask any of the facilitators for clarification, help, additional information, etc. using this box. 3
Presenter s introducethemselves or facilitator introduce them. Acknowledge the help we receive on the back end. 4
Tonightwe will be covering these topics. 5
Log on to abcsmartcookies.com. There is no login or password needed for this site. Everyone should be able to find cookie related topics to fit their role. It s designed for volunteers, parents and girls. 6
Once you have arrived at click on the link for COCO to start your online adventure! 7
Let s start with the girls site. Girls, along with their parent/guardian should choose the Girls site. 8
COCO allows girls to use a computer, laptop or tablet to set their goals, track how they are doing in reaching the goals and send e-cards to their family and friends asking for support. 9
Choose the correctage level. By clicking on COCO Cookie Command, you will get to a login/register screen. If you choose the correct age level, you will find additional online supports to help set goals and increase your sales. These additional resources are perfect for a family or a troop. 10
Follow the prompts for registering. Whenyou return to the site after registering, you can click on the ID Remember link if you have forgotten your username and password. If your Girl Scout used COCO last year, her information should still be there. 11
Registerand createa user name and password. All of the spacesmarked with an asterisk * are required. Don t forget to choose Texas and Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council. By choosing the right state and Council, you are ensuring that your Girl Scout is getting credit for the cookies sold. You are also ensuring that any potential customers are paying the right price for cookies. All girls names in COCO must match their GS membership registration. This is very important so that any cookies sold through COCOdirect can be tied to the correct Girl Scout. 12
For new COCO users, the troop number in COCO must be validated before the Girl Scout can complete the registration process. Begin to type your Girl Scout s troop number in the Troop Number field. The field will begin to filter. Select your Girl Scout s troop number. If the troop is not listed, make sure that you are using a five or six digit number. For example: if the troop number is 1, then search for If you still don t see your troop number, contact your troop leadership team. If the troop is listed, you can continue with the registration process. 13
If your Girl Scout is under 13 years old, check the box. At that time, an additional section will open. You must read the Privacy Policyand check the box that you have read it. You must also provide an address. If your Girl Scout is over 13 years, then no address is required. 14
Once you receive the COCO ConsentNotification , you must reply within 48 hours. You must provide a phone number or fax number and a mailing address so that ABC can follow up if necessary. This is to comply with the COPPA laws. You can refuse the registration by clicking the link in the . All the girl s information will be removed. You can also do nothing, and by doing so, ABC assumes that you approve of the girl s online account. 15
Alllevels will receive the same message once they have submitted their registration. You can now go directly to the COCOmobile app on your smartphone. 16
If you can t remember how you set up your Girl Scout s account, or need to verifythat it is the same as her GS registration, login. Then click on Edit Profile. 17
Enter the number of packages you wish to sell under Package Goal. Be sure to click save and update to save your goals. 18
Somegirls set a package goal based on the recognition level or cookie dough level they would like to earn. You can see all the Girl Rewards on the insert in the order card or in COCO by clicking on My Council s Recognition Plan link. 19
Each time you visit COCO, you can update your progress by enteringthe number sold in the box under your goal. A handy bar graph will begin to build to show your progress and a custom message will appear next to your cookie guide! 20
Another great view is from the My Dashboard tab. There will be messages from your cookie guide avatar and you can get cheers from your troop members! You will also be able to see how your troop is progressing towards their goals. Let s click on the troop page link 21
On your troop page, you will see a bar graphthat will show your troop progress during the sale. You can also click the send a cheer using the link under each girls name and send her a message! How about congratulating her on selling 84 boxes or encouraging her to participate in the next booth sale! 22
A Frenchwriter is credited with the saying a goal without a plan is just a wish. So, now that your Girl Scout has set her goals she can make a plan by clicking on the make my plan tab. Girls can check off on some of the ideas listed or they can enter your own plans at the bottom. There is a button to save and update and then.. 23
She earned some online cookie bling! These online badges representthe 5 skills girls are learning in the cookie program! Bravo! Now let s get down to some serious cookie selling. COCO is not only a place to have fun, but it is also a place to market a girl s cookie sale and take cookie orders. Let s see how! 24
Don t forget that agirl Scout can t begin sending e-cards until January 7. The COCO site won t open until January 5 for creating an account and setting up contacts. 25
There are 3 e-cards she can choose.the first one is for when the Girl Scout wants to contact a customer who lives close. She is willing to deliver those cookies in person to the customer. The second card shown is the Spanish language version. If there are friends and family who are more comfortable with the Spanish language, then the Girl Scout might want to send this e-card. This card is also for any customer whom the Girl Scout will deliver in person the cookies ordered. The last card shown is for COCOdirect. This card will allow customers to pay by credit card, pay shipping and have their cookies shipped directly to them. We will talk in depth about COCOdirect later in this presentation. 26
Under the MyContacts tab, girls can add their potential customer contacts by completing the required fields. She is learning to build a business! And by contacting her friends and family online she might have more time to take her order card out in the public to sell more cookies! 27
Choosean E-card under the Send an E-Card tab. Then select the contact who will receive the e-card from the list of contacts. Be sure to customize the message. Customer s information can also be added in the fields on this page. 28
The friend/familymember receives an notification asking for an order. 29
In order to ensure that thegirlknows the person they areselling to and that ecardsaren t forwarded to people she doesn t know, the receiver of the ecard must enter his/her address. If the address entered matches the address the ecard was sent to, the receiver can proceed to placing an order. 30
The friend/familymember completes the order online and can even choose to donate the cookies. The customer will see a total of the amount due right on their order form! Think of these e-cards as simply an electronic version of the paper order card. Customers can order as few as 1 package or as many as they want. 31
The customer will receive a thank you message letting him/her know the order has been submitted. 32
Back at COCO Cookie Command, click on the View Orders tab. This allows the girl to view/cancel any orders. She can also follow up on any pending orders as needed. A pending order is one where the customer has placed the order but hasn t yet confirmed using the web link on the confirmation message. From this screen an order card report can be run. 33
Friends & family can receive an with a link to COCOdirect, allowing them to place an order and pay with a credit card and have the cookies shipped directly to them. If a girl doesn t have a mobile device, this is a great option for her. This option begins on January 7, just like the option to send e-cards through COCO 34
This is the onlye-card that allows the customer to shop online, pay by credit card and have the cookies shipped directly to her/him. Make sure when this e-card is sent that the customer is willing to pay the shipping and handling to get their cookies. 35
The customer orders cookies by clicking on the order cookies button 36
The customer can order 6 of one variety,12 of one variety, an 8-pack sampler. Gluten free trios will also be sold through COCOdirect. These are the only options the customer has for ordering and paying by credit card. 37
The customercan then review their order. If the customer decides that he wants to add to his order, he can click on the continue shopping. If he is done shopping, he can then click on checkout 38
Checkout is easy. Complete the information, including credit card number and shipping address. The customer can choose to have the cookies shipped to another person as a gift. What a great way to send a piece of home to a college student. The customer can also see the shipping and handling charges at this time. 39
The customer has one final reviewbefore completing the order. It is clear that the customer is paying the same amount ($4) for each package of cookies purchased, but is going to pay shipping and handling to receive the cookies. These cookies will ship when the order is placed. 40
If the consumer has an issue with receiving hisorder, they can contact ABC directly. If they have a product quality issue, they can always contact the 800 number on the cookie package. 41
If you as the parentor troop volunteer are having an issue with the COCO setup, use the number listed or the address listed to get direct help. 42
Today s girls are more mobile than ever. How many of you know a girl who doesn t have a mobile device or access to a mobiledevice of some kind? ABC has developeda new mobile app designed just for girls. 43
You can download the COCOmobileapp for either Android or Apple products. Be sure to find the free app. Search for COCOmobile (all one word). Or use the links at the bottom of the page on COCO. If your Girl Scout used COCOmobile last year, don t forget to log out of the app and reopen this year. Doing so will enable the new graphics, the new cookies and the new recognitions to load. 44
Girls can use their IOS or Android based device to set and track their goals, take and manage their cookie orders; see a summary of their orders and items; and view nutritional product information. 45
COCOmobilealso lets the girls track order payments and delivery status; s order confirmations automatically to their customers; view recognitions; identify level achieved and track sales needed to get to the next level. And all of this information automatically syncs with their online COCO information. Girls don t need internet access to use COCOmobile while taking orders, but will need access to sync with COCO. 46
You willneed a valid COCO account. We talked about that earlier in this webinar. After downloading, Log in and you will see the home screen. The Home Screen shows the 3 types of orders, Mobile, E-Cards and Other. Other can be edited and should include cookies sold via paper order card or booth sales. You can also see the Total Sales. The My Goals section is editable by clicking the pencil. Below that, is the % you are to goal. You can even view the recognitions. 47
Enteringan order is easy. From the Home Screen, click on the 3 bars in the upper left hand corner. You will see the order screen. Please note that Cookie Share is the very first item that can be ordered. This is only for Virtual Cookie Share. If you troop participates in traditional cookie share, then enter those by variety. Any number of packages can be ordered using COCOmobile. 48
Just like the paper order card, nutritional information about each variety of cookie is available. By clicking on the circle I, the customer can read the nutritional information. 49
Once the customer has decided how many packages of each of the cookies they want, then click on the personat the top right. Enter all the customer information, including the address. When complete, click Continue. If you have a repeat customer, you can use the magnifying glass to search for that customer. The customer will get an confirmation. They are also notified if their order changes for some reason. 50
The OrderDetails screen shows the Girl Scout an overview of what the customer ordered. This screen shows the total number of packages ordered and the amount due. 51
Click on Confirm Order so that the order is placed. Remember, any packagesof cookies ordered through COCOmobile must be delivered by the girl. These orders must be turned in to the troop cookie manager to be added to the initial order, pulled from the troop inventory or picked up at a cupboard. 52
Aconfirmation shows on the screen that the Girl Scout will personally schedule delivery with the customer. The customer also receives an with the same message. Remember, all cookies ordered through COCO e-card and COCOmobile must be delivered and payment collected by the girl. 53
The Girl Scouthas two choices when Viewing Orders. She can see any open orders (those that still need to be delivered and collected) and All (all the orders that have been placed. Notice that the box and the money are greyed out on this screen. 54
Once the GirlScout has delivered and collected payment for the cookies, she can then put a check mark in the money section and a blue check mark in the Delivered Section. 55
By choosingorder Summary, she can see the total number of orders, how much has been paid, what is still outstanding and what is still waiting to be delivered. We have literally put the Cookie Sale in the palm of girls hands. 56
By choosing the export button, she can export her cookie information as a CSV file, save to her computer, it to herself or even send it to her troopcookie manager! 57
COCOdirect allows a customer to order cookies via a smart phone, pay by credit card and have those cookies shipped directly to them or a recipient of their choice. 58
Cookiescan only be ordered by 6 of one variety, 12 of one variety, a sampler pack of each of the eight varieties. The gluten-free Trios can be ordered via the COCOdirect app or e- card. 59
Virtual cookie share cookies can now be ordered through COCOdirect. The customer can pay by credit card. The customer can order 1 or as many as they likebut will only pay for the cost of the cookies and a $1.25 transaction fee per order. 60
The customer will need to provide their billing details. They may be uncomfortable telling their credit card information, so they should enter their own information. Once the order is submitted, this information is no longer available on the mobile device. 61
Many of the customers will send these cookies as a thank you or as a gift. They simply select ship to a different address and fill in the information accordingly. If the customer want to ship to multiple addresses, then multiple orders must be placed. 62
The customer can even include a gift message. This is a great way for businesses to thank their customers. 63
Be sure the girl s address is stored in the COCOdirect section of the app. (It is not visible to the customer) She will receive weekly reports of her sales. 64
This year we are celebrating National GS CookieWeekend with a Walk About. Get the wagons out, decorate and hit the neighborhood. Parents take pictures and send to communications@sjgs.org by February 28. Each girl will receive a Walk About patch. 65
Troop 100 requirementsfor participation will be posted. Register Bling your booth Ask 100 new customers Submit photos online Draw for $100 for each Council $3,000 top prize Patches will be sold online for $
