Installing the Apple Device Application You install the application by visiting the itunes Store and clicking on the following link: (pending Apple approval) Launching the Apple Device Application

2 The Apple Device Application will run on any Apple iphone 4s (or newer) or any ipod Touch (5th Generation or newer). The application uses the Bluetooth Low Energy feature on these newer Apple devices to communicate with all EXOGAL audio components. Installing the Apple Device Application You install the application by visiting the itunes Store and clicking on the following link: (pending Apple approval) Launching the Apple Device Application Once installed on your device, you start the application from the Home Screen by tapping on the EXOGAL Remote application on the ios Home Screen. When the application first starts, it will search for an EXOGAL audio component. You will know it is searching by the rotating symbol in the center of the screen. The application is capable of finding an EXOGAL audio component whether the component is ON or if it is in STANDBY Mode. If the component is in STANDBY mode, you will see the following screen. Touch the Green Power button and the component will wake up.

3 When the component first wakes up, you will see the main screen as shown. The yellow Mute indicator on the Mute button shows that the component is in Reduced Mute mode. NOTE: EXOGAL audio components always wake up into Reduced Mute mode to avoid blasting the user with loud music when the device first comes on. Normal Listening Mode Pressing the Mute button will return the component to Normal Listening Mode as indicated by the White indicator on the Mute button. You can now press the Volume Up or Down button to raise or lower the volume. Holding the button will change the listening level rapidly. Releasing the button will stop at the selected listening level. The Blue button on the left is the Input selector. It will cycle through all the available inputs on your EXOGAL audio component. (Please refer to the component s for the specific inputs available on that device.) You will note, as you cycle through the available inputs the label will change to reflect the selected input. The Blue button on the right is the Output selector. It will cycle through all the available outputs on your EXOGAL audio component. (Please refer to the component s for the specific outputs available on that device.) You will note, as you cycle through the available outputs the label will change to reflect the selected output. Pressing the Red Power button will place the EXOGAL component into its STANDBY mode.

4 Using the Mute Functions When you are listening normally, the screen will look like this. If you press the Mute button once, the EXOGAL audio component will enter into the Reduced Mute mode, as shown by the Yellow indicator. Pressing the mute button again, within 2 seconds will fully Mute the EXOGAL audio component and turn the Mute indicator Red. Pressing the Mute button again will return you to Normal Listening Mode.

Getting More Information About Your Device When you are on the Main screen, you can touch the words Device Info in the upper right corner to get more information about your device.

5 Getting More Information About Your Device When you are on the Main screen, you can touch the words Device Info in the upper right corner to get more information about your device. The Device Info screen will display important information such as selected inputs and outputs, as well as the Sample Rate of the current music being played. Depending on which EXOGAL audio component you are connected to you may see other information as well. If you wish to change the name of your EXOGAL audio component, you may do that from the Device Info screen by simply touching the Blue text that shows the device name. This will bring up the Apple keyboard and you can give the device a unique name that will allow you to identify individual EXOGAL audio products. Press Done to return to the Device Info screen. You can return to the Main screen by pressing the Back button on the upper left corner Aspen Ridge Circle. Eagan. MN
