Complance wth safety standards: The devce s desgned to be used n Z-wave home automaton systems (e.g. FIBARO) and s complant wth IEC/UL/CSA In case of the ntegraton wth another system, e.g. alarm system, t s requred to verfy the complance wth addtonal standards. General nformaton about the FIBARO System FIBARO s a wreless smart home automaton system, based on the Z-Wave protocol. All of avalable devces can be controlled through a computer (PC or Mac), smartphone or tablet. Z-Wave devces are not only recevers, but can also repeat the sgnal, ncreasng the Z-Wave network s range. It gves advantage over tradtonal wreless systems that requre drect lnk between transmtter and recever, as a result the constructon of the buldng could affect network s range negatvely. Every Z-Wave network has ts unque dentfcaton number (home ID). Multple ndependent networks can exst n the buldng wthout nterferng. Transmsson securty of FIBARO System s comparable to wred systems. Z-Wave technology s the leadng soluton n smart home automaton. There s a wde range of Z-Wave devces that are mutually compatble, ndependently of manufacturer. 3 3 #1: Descrpton and features FIBARO KeyFob s a Z-Wave Plus compatble, battery-powered, compact remote control. Sx buttons allow you to control other devces through the Z-Wave network and run varous scenes defned n FIBARO System. Confgure actons for one, two, three clcks, holdng the button and button sequences to sut all your needs. Bult-n lockng system wll ensure that unauthorzed person wll not take control of your home. Usng ncluded keyrng or a con, close the battery cover by turnng t clockwse. ose 4. Locate the devce nearby the man Z-Wave controller. 5. Set the man Z-Wave controller n (Securty/non-Securty Mode) add mode (see the controller s manual). 6. Clck any button three tmes. 7. LED wll pulse whte durng the addng process. 8. Wat for the devce to be added nto the system. 9. Successful addng wll be confrmed by the Z-Wave controller s message and green LED colour. Basc actvaton

5 5 #3: Addng/removng the devce Addng (Incluson) - Z-Wave devce learnng mode, allowng to add the devce to exstng Z-Wave network. To add the devce: 1. Set the man Z-Wave controller n (Securty/non-Securty Mode) add mode (see the controller s manual). 2. Power the devce (nsert the battery). 3. Clck any button three tmes. 4. LED wll pulse whte durng the addng process. 5. Wat for the addng process to end. 6. Successful addng wll be confrmed by the Z-Wave controller s message and green LED colour. Addng n Securty Mode must be performed up to 2 meters from the controller. In case the devce s not added, please reset the devce and repeat the addng procedure. Removng (Excluson) - Z-Wave devce learnng mode, allowng to remove the devce from exstng Z-Wave network. To remove the devce: 1. Set the man Z-Wave controller n remove mode (see the controller s manual). 2. Clck and smultaneously. 3. Clck or untl LED glows green. 4. Clck. 5. Wat for the removng process to end. 6. Successful removng wll be confrmed by the Z-Wave controller s message. Removng the KeyFob from the Z-Wave network restores all the default parameters of the devce. Addng/removng the devce

6 6 #4: Operatng the devce * Resettng the devce from the menu s not avalable n Lock Mode. Menu allows to perform Z-Wave network actons. In order to use the menu: 1. Clck and smultaneously. 2. Clck or untl LED ndcates desred menu poston wth colour: Whte - wake up the devce Green - learnng mode (addng/removng) Cyan - check battery level Yellow - reset the devce* 3. Clck to confrm selecton, Clck to ext the menu. 4. LED wll pulse twce wth same colour as selected menu poston to confrm completng acton. Wakng up the devce: The KeyFob needs to be woken up to receve nformaton about the new confguraton from the Z-Wave controller, lke parameters and assocatons. Use 1st menu poston (whte) or clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. Resettng the devce s not the recommended way of removng the devce from the Z-Wave network. Use the reset procedure only f the prmary controller s mssng or noperable. Certan devce removal can be acheved by the procedure of removng descrbed n "Addng/ removng the devce" on page 5. Resettng the devce to factory defaults: Reset procedure allows to restore the devce back to ts factory settngs, whch means all nformaton about the Z-Wave controller and user confguraton wll be deleted. There are two ways of resettng the devce: Resettng the devce usng the menu: 1. Clck and smultaneously. 2. Clck or untl LED glows yellow. 3. Clck. Emergency resettng the devce on start-up: 1. Remove the battery. 2. Hold and, whle nsertng the battery. Successful resettng wll be confrmed by smoothly brghtenng and dmmng of the yellow LED colour. Operatng the devce

7 7 #5: Vsual ndcatons Vsual ndcatons: The KeyFob s equpped wth a LED dode, sgnallng pushng the buttons, sequences, menu poston and status of the devce. 8 8 #6: Lock Mode The KeyFob can be protected wth a sequence of 2 to 5 button clcks. When unlockng sequence s set, the devce wll lock tself after: beng nactve for tme set n parameter 2 (60 seconds by default), pressng and holdng selected button (f set n parameter 2). To enable Lock Mode: set sequence n parameter 1, set tme and/or lockng button n parameter 2 (60 seconds by default), set PROTECTION Command Class to Local Protecton by Sequence (done automatcally by Home Center controller). Lock Mode wll be dsabled when: parameter 1 and/or parameter 2 s set to 0, PROTECTION Command Class s set to Unprotected. When devce s locked: pushng buttons wll not actvate any actons, menu s avalable, but wthout opton of resettng the devce. Settng the unlockng sequence and lockng tme-out usng Home Center confguraton nterface: 1. Go to the devce optons by clckng the con: 2. Select the Advanced tab. 3. Clck the Confgure button n "Lock Mode" secton. 4. Select sequence of 2 to 5 buttons, clck "Next". 5. Select tme to lock and lockng button, clck "Next". 6. Clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. 7. Wat for the devce to confgure. Lock Mode

Calculate value of parameter usng table and formula: Button Value Value of parameter = Value of frst button * Value of second button + 64 * Value of thrd button * Value of fourth button * Value of ffth button 2. Change the value of parameter 1 [2 bytes] to calculated value. 3. Clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. 4. Wat for the devce to confgure. Settng tme to lock and lockng button usng advanced parameter: 1. Calculate value of parameter usng table and formula: Button Value Tme to lock should be 0 or (seconds) Value of parameter = Tme to lock n seconds * Value of lockng button 2. 10 10 #7: Sequences Sequences: User can create sequences of two to fve button to expand number of possble actons. Every sequence sends correspondng Scene ID to the Z-Wave controller wth attrbute "Key pressed 1 tme" (see "Scene actvaton" on page 11). Sequences are saved n advanced parameters (no. 3-8). Actvatng sequence ntroduces delay n sngle, double and trple clck actons for frst button n the sequence. Rules of creatng sequences: Maxmum of sx sequences can be created. Each sequence must be unque. Sequence can consst of two to fve button pushes. Sequence can contan multple clcks of the same button. Settng a new sequence usng advanced parameter: 1. Calculate value of parameter usng table and formula: Button Value Value of parameter = Value of frst button * Value of second button + 64 * Value of thrd button * Value of fourth button * Value of ffth button 2. Change the value of correspondng parameter [2 bytes] (parameters 3 to 8 for slots 1 to 6). 3. Clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. 4. Wat for the devce to confgure. Sequences

11 11 #8: Actvatng scenes Actvatng scenes: The KeyFob can actvate scenes n the Z-Wave controller by sendng scene ID and attrbute of a specfc acton usng Central Scene Command Class. By default scenes are actvated after sngle clckng or pressng and holdng any of the buttons and sequences. Other actons can be actvated n parameters Actvatng a double clck wll ntroduce delay to a sngle clck reacton and actvatng a trple clck wll ntroduce delay to a double clck reacton. 12 12 #9: Battery! CAUTION Usng batteres other than specfed may result n exploson. Dspose of properly, observng envronmental protecton rules. Battery lfe depends on frequency of usage, number of assocatons/scenes, Z-Wave routng and network load. The KeyFob can be powered wth CR2450 (ncluded) battery. Estmated battery lfe wth devce added once, default settngs, drect range and maxmum 5 pushes per day s 2 years. Checkng battery level: KeyFob automatcally warns about low battery wth 3 magenta blnks. 1. Clck and smultaneously. 2. Clck or untl LED glows cyan. 3. Clck. 4. 13 13 #10: Assocatons Assocaton (lnkng devces) - drect control of other devces wthn the Z-Wave system network e.g. Dmmer, Relay Swtch, Roller Shutter or scene (may be controlled only through a Z-Wave controller). The devce provdes the assocaton of thrteen groups: 1st assocaton group Lfelne reports the devce status and allows for assgnng sngle devce only (man controller by default). 2nd assocaton group Square - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 3rd assocaton group Square - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. 4th assocaton group Crcle - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 5th assocaton group Crcle - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. 6th assocaton group Cross - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 7th assocaton group Cross - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. 8th assocaton group Trangle - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 9th assocaton group Trangle - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. 10th assocaton group Mnus - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 11th assocaton group Mnus - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. 12th assocaton group Plus - On/Off s assgned to clckng the button and s used to turn on/off assocated devces. 13th assocaton group Plus - Multlevel s assgned to clckng and holdng the button and s used to turn on/off and change level of assocated devces. Assocaton ensures drect transfer of control commands between devces, s performed wthout partcpaton of the man controller and requres assocated devce to be n the drect range. States of the assocaton groups are affected only by buttons. Changng state of assocated devce by other means wll not update remembered state of assocaton group. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 assocaton groups use BASIC CC, but devce does not repond to GET commands. Assocatons

14 14 The KeyFob n 2nd to 13th group allows to control 5 devces (regular or multchannel) per an assocaton group. LfeLne group s reserved solely for the controller and hence only 1 node can be assgned. It s not recommended to assocate more than 10 devces n general, as the response tme to control commands depends on the number of assocated devces. In extreme cases, system response may be delayed. To add an assocaton (usng the Home Center controller): 1. Go to the devce optons by clckng the con: 2. Select the Advanced tab. 3. Clck the Settng Assocaton button. 4. Specfy to whch group and what devces are to be assocated. 5. Save the changes. 6. Clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. Pared buttons assocatons After parng buttons, horzontal pars of buttons ( and, and, and ) work as one button and send assocatons to left buttons groups only. Left buttons (,, ) turn on assocated devces and rght buttons (,, ) turn them off. In multlevel assocaton groups (3, 7, 11) left buttons ncrease level whle holdng and rght buttons decrease t. To par buttons: 1. Change settngs of parameters: and set parameter 6 to value 1 and set parameter 7 to value 1 and set parameter 8 to value 1 2. Save the changes. 3. Clck Battery and smultaneously to wake up the devce.

15 15 #11: Advanced parameters The KeyFob allows to customze ts operaton to user s needs. The settngs are avalable n the FIBARO nterface as smple optons that may be chosen by selectng the approprate box. In order to confgure the KeyFob (usng the Home Center controller): 1. Go to the devce optons by clckng the con: 2. Select the Advanced tab. 3. Modfy values of chosen parameters. 4. Save the changes. 5. Clck and smultaneously to wake up the devce. Enterng nvald value of parameter wll result n response wth Applcaton Rejected frame and not settng the value. 1. Lock Mode - unlockng sequence Ths parameter allows to actvate Lock Mode and set up unlockng sequence. Devce wll lock after tme set n parameter 2 or after pressng and holdng selected button. See "Lock Mode" on page 9 for more nformaton. Avalable settngs: 0 - Lock Mode dsabled unlockng sequence Default settng: 0 Parameter sze: 2 [bytes] 2. 20 20 #13: Regulatons Ths devce comples wth Part 15 of the FCC Rules Operaton s subject to the followng two condtons: 1. Ths devce may not cause harmful nterference 2. Ths devce must accept any nterference receved, ncludng nterference that may cause undesred operaton. Ths equpment has been tested and found to comply wth the lmts for a Class B dgtal devce, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These lmts are desgned to provde reasonable protecton aganst harmful nterference n a resdental nstallaton. Ths equpment generates, uses and can radate rado frequency energy and, f not nstalled and used n accordance wth the nstructons, may cause harmful nterference to rado communcatons. However, there s no guarantee that nterference wll not occur n a partcular nstallaton. If ths equpment does cause harmful nterference to rado or televson recepton, whch can be determned by turnng the equpment off and on, the user s encouraged to try to correct the nterference by one or more of the followng measures: Reorent or relocate the recevng antenna. Increase the separaton between the equpment and recever. Connect the equpment nto an outlet on a crcut dfferent from that to whch the recever s connected.
