1 Section A (Technical specifications) The IT Infrastructure Facility Management Service at KKNPP (1-4) site and Township includes services such as PCs installation, Software Installation, Preventive Maintenance, Inventory updates, coordinating supplier for equipment under warranty and also includes comprehensive maintenance services for servers, PCs and peripherals as detailed in Annexure. Annexure 3: contains the summary of IT infrastructure to be covered under the scope of Annexure 3A: contains the details of Desktop computers & Laptops computers to be covered under the scope of Annexure 3B: contains the details of Printers to be covered under the scope of Annexure 3C: contains the details of Scanners to be covered under the scope of Annexure 3D: contains the details of UPS to be covered under the scope of maintenance contract. Annexure 3E: contains the details of Server Computers to be covered under the scope of Scope of the Work: The Scope of Facility Management Services (Item No.1.1)is as below 1. Help Desk Support The complaints will be registered through phone calls or written request on or Application program. Attending to user complaints either through telephone/remote access/by visiting the person s location Contractor shall monitor the call status information and solve the problem to the full satisfaction of users and the contractor shall provide feedback on call status regularly to the EIC 2. New PCs installation Providing support and supervisory services for installation of new systems and upgradtion. Providing first level assistance to the users in the operations of PCs, Printers and software so that the users can perform their work smoothly. 3. PCs & Peripherals re-orientation / location Re-location of PCs & peripherals from one place to other within KKNPP site to meet functional requirement as & when required. 4. Meeting / Conference / Presentation arrangement Providing support for IT related jobs during meeting, conferences and presentations whenever required etc. Page 1 of 7

2 Configuring the PCs / Laptop & presentation equipments like multimedia projectors / plasma displays etc. as per the schedules of meetings / conferences. 5. Preventive maintenance of Servers. The preventive maintenance for servers shall be carried out and shall include following tasks: Cleaning of system by handy vacuum cleaner Monitoring the healthiness and availability of servers by checking indicators and lights in the hardware. Checking Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to make sure it's running properly Ensuring the temperature of the server room. Neat arrangements of Cables 6. Preventive maintenance of PCs and peripherals. The preventive maintenance shall be carried out and shall include following jobs: Cleaning of system and printer by handy vacuum cleaner Checking IP address, , DNS configurations Updating OS patches Neat arrangement of cables PCs space management such as disk space monitoring, check disk & defragmentation and deletion of temporary files. Ensuring proper driver software, ensuring all standard software used at KKNPP. The contractor shall take utmost care of user s data on hard disk and take preventive steps to avoid hard disk crashes by regular checkup and advance replacement of hard disk if bad blocks are found. Contractor shall maintain software tools to recover data from hard disk in case of emergency. 7. Non comprehensive maintenance (For IT Equipments under on-site warranty) For those IT equipments machines that are under supplier warranty, the contractor is expected to do the following steps. KKNPP will provide information (Name, address, contact person, phone, ids etc.) of the related suppliers for maintenance co-ordination. Inform the corresponding supplier about the fault & details of spare & co-ordinate the maintenance work. Ensure the replacement of the faulty parts and restoration the equipments to the original state. Inform the Engineer-in-charge about the progress / status of the work. 8. Software Installation and maintenance. FMS part includes the Software maintenance of system & printer with Windows / Linux operating system and standard office packages. The work includes, Loading / reloading of OS, office packages, configuration of LAN / /software, trouble shooting and identification of software problems. Configuration of Printers, Scanners, CD Writers, modems & other devices. Loading / installation / configuration of custom made software used at site (All the required software will be provided by KKNPP) 9. Inventory Updates Page 2 of 7

3 Providing asset management services comprising of managing asset history, asset movement and configuration management. This involves the following Maintenance of database of users, computers and its accessories Recording all changes in the configuration & system setup time to time in the database Updating the location changes of the PCs & Peripherals in the database Submitting quarterly report of status of computers and its accessories to engineerin charge. As part of FMS, contractor shall provide following minimum no of persons at KK site as per the details given below. 1 Site Incharge/Supervi sor 2 Senior Service Technicians 3 Service Technicians One Person 3 years Diploma/ Graduate (Pass) with 60% in Computer Science/Electronics/IT minimum 5 years of experience in IT maintenance field of industrial environment, preferably with minimum 2 years as site-in-charge & having good communication and managerial skills along with technical knowledge Overall management and co-ordination activities. Keeping track of the problems, taking necessary steps to resolve the problem within the specified time limit and raising escalation reports for pending problems. Act as single point of contact and take ownership of problems and assigned jobs and ensure timely resolution of the issues. Maintaining the required spares at site and keeping the up-todate records of material movement. Ensuring that all the guidelines and instructions provided by Engineer-in-Charge are followed by the Service Engineers. Maintaining the daily/weekly/monthly call status reports and providing the same to engineer-in-charge. 3 Persons 3 year Diploma/B.Sc (Pass) Computer Science/Electronics/IT 3 years of experience in computer hardware and software maintenance in an industrial setup. 3 Persons 3 year Diploma/Bsc(Pass) Computer Science/Electronics/IT 1 year of experience in computer hardware and software Page 3 of 7

4 4 for Sr.# 2&3 Domain Expertise Facility Management Assistant Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited maintenance in an industrial setup. All types of hardware maintenance, break-down maintenance & preventive maintenance, replacement of parts/ components of the PCs and peripherals including LAN and networking components to make them working well all the time. Installation of OS, Office packages etc. and other IT related jobs assigned by Engineer-incharge. Breakdown & preventive maintenance of PCs, DMPs, Inkjet printers and laser printers. Replacement of parts/components and configurations. Loading & configuration of operating system, Office packages etc. Configuration of etc. One Person 3 year Diploma/BSc (Pass) Computer Science/Electronics/IT or BCA with certificate course in MS Office or MCA. Call receiving, logging and monitoring. Maintain up-to-date records of all IT assets. Co-ordinate, maintain and keep track of material movement. Collection and issue of computer related items and maintain stock records. Preparation of reports, documents etc. Other IT related jobs assigned by Engineer-in-charge. The Scope of Assistance for Software Development (Item No.1.2)is as below: The following are the scope for the work of Assistance for software Development. Enhancements and extending support of existing modules in Intranet website. Design, Development, testing and Implementation of software modules & packages as and when assigned. Preparation of software documentation, user manuals and detailed design documents. Providing End-user support and resolving user issues of Intranet website. As part of Software Developer, contractor shall provide following qualified persons as per the details given below. Software Developer 2 Persons : 3 years Diploma/BSc/B.E (pass) with 60% in computer science/it or BCA/MCA or any Graduate with PG Diploma in Computer Applications from a govt. recognized institute Two years experience in software development in the following areas: Javascript,HTML,CSS,AJAX,JSP,JAVA. Knowledge of any one of RDBMS systems like MySQL/MSSQL is must. In addition to above, persons with exposure in cold fusion /VB will be given preferences. Page 4 of 7

5 Extending support for existing applications. Development of software modules/packages as and when assigned. Prepare software documentation, user manuals and detailed design documents. Other IT related jobs assigned by Engineer-in-charge. Comprehensive hardware maintenance for computers, printers, scanners, UPS and servers. (IT Equipments not covered under on-site warranty) (Item No.2 to 6) 1. The Comprehensive maintenance service will cover maintenance and service for the hardware and software of Servers, Personal Computers and peripherals. The work includes trouble shooting & identification of hardware / software problems, and repair / replacement of failed components with equivalent or higher capacity. 2. Breakdown problems for servers shall be rectified within 24 hrs. of intimation of problem at KKNPP site, latest by the immediate following NPCIL working day. Breakdown problems for PCs and Peripherals shall be rectified within 2 working days of intimation of problem at KKNPP site. 3. Items mentioned as consumables by manufacturer, shall be procured by NPCIL. Other components shall be in the scope of this contract. For higher end printers where Fuser kit mentioned as consumables as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Fuser kit will be provided by NPCIL. Mechanical Parts like gear assembly if failed are to be arranged by the contractor. The inkjet cartridges, printer ribbons, toners of laser printers, and network components other than LAN card are excluded from AMC 4. Supplier shall maintain sufficient quantity of essential spares like: PC Mother boards, hard disk / CDROM drives, RAMs, Monitors, SMPS, interface cards, Keyboards, Mice and Printers at KKNPP. 5. The components or parts procured for the replacements shall be of same make & model of the original or Standard/genuine substitute, subject to the approval of Engineer-in-Charge of the contract. Malfunctioning components should be replaced with equivalent or better components. Defective components shall not be issued and will be retained with NPCIL. 6. When contractor feels servicing an NPCIL's faulty component / equipment may take time and so he can install an equal or higher type in its place, as a standby arrangement it should be with the concurrence of engineer-in-charge. The permissible time limit, for standby arrangement may continue is three weeks. 7. The items covered in the comprehensive maintenance are to be taken to Authorized Dealer for replacement of any parts/ spares the contractor should make all the arrangements of transportation, collecting back and installing in the original location. No extra charge will be payable by NPCIL. 8. For any damage, intentional or otherwise, sustained by the systems while in the custody of the contractor for maintenance, the contractor shall be responsible and shall rectify such damages at no extra cost. Penalty for downtime is applicable in such cases as mentioned in penalty clause. 9. Service shall be rendered at actual locations of the system at KKNPP premises and township. If any Packing/ unpacking/ shifting of systems parts are involved the same shall Page 5 of 7

6 be arranged by the contractor. The contractor under the guidance/instruction of engineerin-charge or his representative shall do the shifting of any components if required. 10. The drivers CDs, software CDs etc. which are required for maintenance of the system will be handed over to the contractor at the beginning of the contract. The contractors shall maintain them safely and return at the end of the contract. Exclusions in AMC Maintenance Service: Magnetic media like magnetic disk packs, cartridges, magnetic tapes, tape cartridges and cassettes, CD-ROMS Media. Consumables like print bands, ribbons, daisy wheels, ribbon cartridges, ink, print heads, plotter pens, paper feed roller, Maintenance kit for laser printer, Toner cartridge, fuser assembly mentioned as consumables by the original Manufacturer, lamps,transparency films and batteries of UPS. For Hp printer 9040, 5550, 6015x and 4025dn Fuser kit will be provide by NPCIL Defects occurred due to environmental factors like improper earthing, power supply related issues, lightning, natural calamities, insects or rat spoiling, etc are not covered under scope of this service. User induced defects like improper handling, liquid spilling, hot swapping of peripherals are not covered under scope of this service. External cables and internal harnesses are considered to be consumables under this service.
