2 SAI Panel Feed-Through Integrators for system cabling: Field distribution is becoming more critical. For example, in some applications it is more suitable that the IP20 I/O module be mounted in enclosures directly onto the machine. A simplified form of wiring is required. Weidmüller now offers two simple solutions: Our integrator with a standard ribbon cable connector, is compatible with Weidmuller's and most other PLC system interfaces. Weidmuller also offers a unique solution for feeding bus cables through panels, that can be plugged from both sides. See the SAI WDF on page 4. 4 SAI Panel Feed-Through: Quick-Disconnects for I/O Systems or Shielded Applications SAI-WDF As a rule, on-site connection of bus cables mean high installation costs. Weidmüller offers the option of shielded, through-panel installation of these cables without the need to separate the cables and without the need for special tools. The SAI WDF is simply inserted into a previously drilled hole and then secured on both sides. Mounting is extremely easy and provides quick disconnect modularity. The bus cable is then plugged by means of pre-assembled cable and connectors either from outside or inside. The SAI WDF can be used with plastic enclosures. 5 xyzljsdöaklsd SAI Active new wiring concept For Profibus DP With combi bus cable wiring and the combi bus - power / PLC supply T-piece The new SAI Active wiring concept ingenious, efficient and all from one source. Intelligent wiring systems are based on universal concepts. Weidmüller has now developed a new wiring concept that fulfills practical demands. The power supply and bus cables are combined by a combi bus cable with corresponding connectors, which means that no separate power supply is required for the input modules. The output modules are equipped with a separate connector for loads, in order not to restrict their performance. Additionally, the T-piece is available for the switchgear cabinet to unite the cables from the PLC and the power supply into one single combi cable. Weidmüller offers all of the required components for this innovative wiring system from one source. The assortment includes the individual active SAI integrators and the differing cables including prefabricated bus cables through to the combining T-piece. 7 xyzljsdöaklsd SAI integrators one integrator for NPN (sinking) and PNP (sourcing) sensors SAI NPN-PNP M12 plug-in connectors have been wired in such that the PNP sensor can be connected to pin 4 and the NPN sensor to pin 2. The integrator is designed as an 8-channel module with a fixed 5 m cable. Type Part No. SAI-8-F 5P NPN-PNP 5M This distributor offers the possibility to attach either a PNP (sourcing) sensor or an NPN (sinking) sensor with two or threelead connection to an M12 socket. Altogether 8 inputs are available. With a switched sensor, a + signal on the corresponding wire is connected through the light emitting diode. The upper LED "N" shines with NPN sensors and the lower LED "P" with PNP sensors. A Twin-plug is not functional on the M12 sockets for this module.
