2 2017 Milton Transit Service Plan Welcome to the Public Input Session for the 2017 Milton Transit Service Plan! Thank you for participating in this process. Plan Summary The 2017 Milton Transit Service Plan outlines service adjustments and infrastructure investments planned for 2017 as well as initiatives to investigate for future consideration. The 2017 Service Plan will be presented to Milton Council (date to be determined) and will be considered as part of the annual budget process in December Where We Are Milton Transit will deliver over 35,000 annual conventional service hours in 2016 to serve our growing community. Highlights from this year include: Fare increase in January 2016 to reflect incremental operating costs and service improvements in 2015 Continued implementation of GO Connect transit pilot project (Ended: April 2016) Reintroduction of GO Drop-off service in the evenings Alignment of scheduled services to meet additional GO Train service; includes 100% Train meets in afternoon peak Continued legacy programming throughout the year (Seniors Month, Read and Ride, Passenger Appreciation Day) Passenger trips projecting an 8% annual increase or an additional 32,225 trips
