3 A.2 NFV PC Technical Details (ptinal) A.2.1 PC Overview Mapping t E2E Framewrk VNF MANO NFVI A.2.2 PC Scenaris Scenari 1 One-click service deplyment. IMS service is prvided by several 3GPP Netwrk Functins, such as CSC, HSS, MMTel, etc. These functins, all frm Huawei, are virtualized accrding t NFV specificatins. With the pre-defined templates and scripts, all functins can be deplyed autmatically nt the clud platfrm prvided by DT and ALU. The IMS service tested in that PC is the basic call set-up. Scenari 2 Aut-scaling f VNF. Based n Scenari 1, the traffic lad generated by a simulatr increases and pushes up the wrk lad f the VNF. When the wrk lad exceeds the pre-defined threshld, additinal resurces (VM) are autmatically allcated t prvide mre capacity t the VNF that handles the increased traffic. With this mechanism f the scale-ut, the capacity f the VNF will autmatically adjust t the apprpriate level at which the quality and stability f the service will be guaranteed. The prcess f scale-in, handling the situatin f reducing VNF s capacity due t decreasing traffic lad, is similar but in reverse directin. Scenari 3 Autmated healing f VNF. Based n Scenari 1, when a VM cntaining a cmpnent f a VNF (VNFC) fails, a new VM will be autmatically allcated and created with apprpriate cmpnent instantiated n it. This prcess heals the VNF with n service interruptin. The VNFs cmpsing IMS service can be autmatically deplyed by means f simple peratins, e.g. click-t-start. 2. VNF can be scaled ut and in autmatically with the mechanism f the clud platfrm and its wn t handle varius cnditins f service traffic. 3. VNF can heal itself autmatically using the mechanism f the clud platfrm when an underlying resurce (VM fr example) fails.
