2 2 Welcme t the User Guide fr Online Test Tl The aim f this dcument is t prvide guidance fr the Self-test prcess f verifying the cmpatibility f Milestne s Camera Partners devices with the XPrtect prduct platfrm thrugh the use f Milestne ONVIF driver. The prcess cnsists f several phases and has been designed in such a way as t guarantee tp quality f the f the Partner s self-test results. Requirements fr the Partner test Since the results f the Partner test frm the basis fr the fficial Milestne supprt fr the ONVIF integratin between the Partner s devices and the XPrtect prduct family, it is indispensable fr the Partner t have a very gd understanding f the functining f Milestne s prducts. In rder t ensure that, the partners are required t cmplete selected free nline curses, available thrugh the Milestne Learning Prtal Hw t prceed G the Milestne Learning Prtal. Yu will need a MyMilestne username and passwrd in rder t lgin. Yu shuld have these already, but if yu dn t, the website will guide yu n hw t btain them. After yu have accessed the Prtal, please d the fllwing: G t the Learning tab: Select elearning Select the fllwing curses in the fllwing sectins: Getting Started with XPrtect : Getting Started with XPrtect VMS Getting Started with XPrtect Smart Client Cnfiguring and Using XPrtect@:: Adding Cameras and Device Grups in XPrtect VMS Prducts Cnfiguring and Using Edge Strage in XPrtect VMS (if yu are planning n testing Edge Strage) Cnfiguring and Using Enhanced PTZ (if yu are planning n testing PTZ) Click n each curse and then click n Enrll.

4 4 Each curse lasts apprximately minutes and yu can take it at yur wn pace. Once yu have cmpleted the curse, yu will be able t dwnlad a Certificate f curse cmpletin. Please save the certificates and send them as PDF files t the Milestne Alliances Team at partner@milestnesys.cm. The Milestne Alliances Team will pen the test cases fr yu in Milestne s dedicated Partner-test tl (Online Test Tl; see next sectin) and will prvide yu with the relevant lgins and guidance. Please nte that yu are required t prvide the dcumentatin fr cmpleting all the required curses. 2. Getting started After yu have registered yur devices thrugh Milestne s Camera Integratin Request Tl, the test cases fr the XPrtect Crprate platfrm will be pened fr yu and will be directly accessible frm the Overview sectin. Please nte that these will be visible nly after yu have submitted the relevant testing grup(s) and after fulfilling the qualificatin criteria described in the previus sectin. Please nte that yu can als access the Online Test Tl directly by fllwing this link: Yu will receive the username and passwrd frm Milestne Partner Prgram Team at partner@milestnesys.cm Requirements In rder t cnduct the test, yu will need the fllwing: The latest Device Pack with the mst up-t-date ONVIF/ONVIF16 drivers (btainable frm the Dwnlad sectin f the Milestne s website) The latest versin f XPrtect Crprate (btainable frm the Dwnlad sectin f the Milestne s website)

Testing 2.1 Test cases verview After lgging int the Online Test Tl, yu will be directed t the Overview sectin, where yu will be able t see the list f all pen test cases, including the mdel name f the assigned device t be tested and the deadline fr submissin f yur test results. Please select the test case that yu wuld like t start and click n it Test case General remarks Befre yu begin the test, please nte the fllwing functinalities that shuld make the prcess easy and efficient fr yu: Overview f the test stages Each test case cnsists f several stages. The list f all stages is visible in the panel n the left side f yur screen. Each stage is accmpanied by a series f icns, which allw yu t easily track status f each ne f them.

Yu can see the number f sub-steps in the verview pane and inside the specific step, e.g. nte that the test f Audi cnsists f checking the Audi In and Audi Out: Overview panel: Audi sectin Please nte that yu can perfrm the test in any rder yu chse. Yu need t hwever cmplete all the stages in rder t be able t submit yur test results. Instructins and the results Each step starts with a set f detailed instructins that tell yu hw t prceed (what t the test and in which rder) and what the expected result is (e.g. Audi can be heard with gd quality and with less than ne secnd delay ). Yu shuld fill in the result belw, by chsing ne f the ptins: Pass/Fail/Nt Supprted See the example f Audi test:

7 7 Cmments, Files, Images Each test sub-stage allws yu t write cmments and uplad relevant files and images fr the Milestne Quality Assurance (QA) Team t review. Questins If yu are in dubts abut a specific step, yu can always submit a questin thrugh the Tl, which will be handled by the Milestne QA Team. The questin frm is available under each test step:

8 Intrductin -Tls and preparatin: ONVIF Test Tl General infrmatin Onvif Test Tl Versin 2.0 is the successr f Onvif Test Tl 1.0 Terminal based sftware. It is an autmated test tl fr testing device's cmpliance with Milestne Systems ONVIF driver. The ONVIF Tl wrks sends device_service request t check availability. It will allw yu t verify whether the cmmunicatin between the VMS and the device is handled in a crrect manner. The tl is t be used as the first screening step in rder t verify whether tested devices are cmpatible with the Milestne ONVIF driver (i.e. whether they respnd t the Tl s requests). Requirements: Onvif test tl versin 2.0 (51 MB): The installer is available fr dwnlad directly frm the Online Test Tl. Device Pack: Dwnladed frm the Milestne Systems website: Dwnlad sectin Cnnected IP device, preferably with a fixed IP address OS: Micrsft Windws 7 r 8.1 x86/64 IE 9 r newer installed..net Framewrk 4.5 and abve with latest critical updates. XPrtect is nt necessary fr cnducting this test, but it will be necessary fr all the ther steps. Getting started: 1. Install the camera(s) and have the fllwing infrmatin available: IP address Username & passwrd (if relevant) 2. Install the Device Pack: a. If XPrtect is already installed: i. Ensure that the Recrding Server is stpped. ii. the file will be saved in the XPrtect flder b. If XPrtect nt installed, select the destinatin yurself c. Any previus versin f Device Pack will be uninstalled. 3. Install the Onvif Test Tl a. Fllw the Installatin Wizard

9 9 b. Once installed, yu have t manually find it yurself. It shuld be saved under: Milestne/ONVIF Test Tl GUI The ONVIF test tl: Envirnment: ONVIF driver path; The preinstalled file frm the Device Pack is fund autmatically: C:\v81\ONVIF.dll NB: If testing multichannel encders, brwse manually fr the ONVIF16.dll file Device: Address: type in the IP address f the tested device Username & passwrd: type in if any username and passwrd is set up fr the device Prt: type in 80 (r ther number if applicable).

Each step cntains detailed instructins n hw the test shuld be cnducted and the descriptin f the expected result. The result f each step needs t be prvided as pass/fail/nt supprted. The results can be accmpanied by cmments, files and images. It is pssible t send in questins fr each f these stages: Tls and preparatin Add IP Hardware JPEG/H264/H265/MPEG

Please nte that nly submitted test reprts will be registered as ready fr review. 4. After the test After submissin f the test results, all the data prvided by yu will be reviewed by the Milestne QA Team. If there is a need t discuss any particular pint, yu will be cntacted directly by the team. Shuld yu have questins abut a cmpleted test, please cntact partner@milestnesys.cm.. 5. Official release (Device Pack) Once the test results have been reviewed and apprved by Milestne QA Team, yur devices will be fficially listed as supprted thrugh the ONVIF driver by Milestne. This will take place tgether with the recurrent Device Pack release (currently the releases take place every ther mnth). 6.
