Tancredi & Bove's main products were coal and feed. Through the 1930's the Depression was difficult on this young business. They were able to survive with dedication and hard work. During the 1940's this humble business prospered with the addition of fuel oil to the product line. In the mid-1950's Tancredi & Bove became G. A. Bove as Mr. Tancredi was bought out. At this time their delivery area was also expanding outside of Mechanicville into Stillwater, Schaghticoke, Halfmoon and Clifton Park, at this time Frank Bove took a major part in the company with a very hands on approach. In the late 1960's John Bove joined his father and brother in the business and in 1971 the business became G.A. Bove & Sons, Inc. As coal began to wane as a primary heat source and fuel oil, kerosene and propane gas became more in demand the business adapted by adding these fuels to their product line. G.A. Bove & Sons experienced tremendous growth in the 1970's and the 1980's by acquisitions, long hours, and hard work! Frank and John believe in providing service to all of their customers any day, day or night. This notion is still followed today, with 24 hour emergency service to provide help and assistance to all of G.A. Bove's customers. The fleet has grown to 9 propane delivery trucks and 12 fuel delivery trucks, along with 17 service vehicles. There are presently 55+ employees to better serve the customer. Frank and John's sons have also taken an active role in the business to make this a three-generation family affair. G.A. Bove & Sons now serves Columbia, Saratoga, Albany, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington counties. Despite their growing size they have still kept the sense of a neighborhood family business. So please let our family service your family and business! So, it is with loving memory on behalf of the Bove Family and its staff that this 80th Anniversary of the Company be dedicated to the man, Gennaro Bove, who had the courage, determination, vision and heart to create a successful and healthy organization that continues to grow each and every day,!

4 Page 4 G. A. Bove Fuels 1st Annual Golf Classic G.A. Bove Fuels holds it s first Annual Golf Classic to benefit The Childrens Hospital at Albany Medical Center On September 19th G.A. Bove Fuels held it s first annual golf classic to benefit the Childrens Hospital at Albany Medical Center. The event was held at the Saratoga Lake Golf Club, followed by an awards luncheon at Mangino s Restaurant. The day was a huge success, raising over $9, dollars for the Childrens Hospital. The winner of the grand prize, which consisted of a complete media room (Samsung 46 flat screen lcd tv, two media chairs, Samsung surround sound, wii gaming system and an entertainment stand.) was Justin Pugliese, 7 years old, of Mechanicville. After winning the prize, Justin decided to donate it to the Childrens Hospital! John V. Bove would like to say thank you to the golf committee that worked so hard to put this event together: Larry Taplin, Krystal Martin, Mary Connally, Jenn Landry, Kateri Perkins and Stephanie VanAlystyne. Also a special thanks to Saratoga Lake Golf Club and Mangino s Restaurant.

This merger brings together two energy companies that have great histories, share common values, goals, and commitments. Over the years, Mabb Oil has met the needs of its customers by providing fuel to homes and businesses, answering any questions they may have, and inviting their customers to be a part of their family. G.A. Bove Fuels looks forward to working in partnership with Mabb Oil to meet their customer s fuel needs. The Mabb Oil office will remain open.

7 Page 7 Office in 2009 New Oil Truck New Service Truck From The Desk Of John Bove Jr. In January 2010, we will be celebrating our 80th year of business. We realize this is quite an accomplishment especially in this day and age. We have been talking about this for a few months now, the question is always why. We as a family business have always worked hard and this was instilled into us from Gennaro, Frank Sr., and John Sr. We have also been fortunate in the decisions we have made, have worked out more good than bad. These are all reasons as to why we have been around for 80 years, but they ARE NOT THE reason. THE REASON IS YOU THE CUSTOMER. This may sound clichéd but it is also self evident. If we did not treat you the customer in a courteous, friendly, personal, professional, and fair way, would you still be our customer? The answer to that is simply, NO. As we grow bigger, it is important to us to remember why. We at G.A. Bove Fuels want every customer to know that without you we would not be here. We truly believe this and there are many meetings here regarding this sentiment. In this day and age everything in business seems predicated on efficiencies and quickness. These are fine business concepts that have merit, but should not be the end all. A lot of times you the customer are treated in a very uncourteous, unfriendly, and unpersonal way. This is done to get you off the phone or through the door, so as to get to the next customer. This to me is very unfair, and unprofessional, but I suppose, quick and efficient. G.A. Bove Fuels DOES NOT and WILL NOT ever handle our customers this way. We believe we could not have made it to 80 years if we acted like that and definitely would not last very long if we started too.
