3 1. Background of Dashboard BTC Dashboard is a custom-made mobile solution for secure document and content distribution by BigTinCan Mobile Pty Ltd that is made up a smart device application and Cloud hosted or private hosted server component. BTC Dashboard is used by field workers, mobile executives, engineers and more to provide workplace flexibility, easy access to up to date information whether it is the latest trading price of goods, or the latest technical product information and secure control of documents and other content. 2. User Guidelines BTC Dashboard will be an extremely useful tool for you in your daily activity as you start to use it to deliver secure content to your mobile device. This guide provides you with simple information on how to use Dashboard and its basic features. The primary goal of the dashboard is to provide you with the ability to send documents and other content to your mobile device instantly and securely. You can use Dashboard to send up to the minute information regarding products, services, news and other information from either the BTC Cloud hosted server, or from a Private BTC Dashboard Server located behind your organisation s firewall for the ultimate in security and control. Your device will receive the information, alert you using a Push notification and when open the Dashboard app it will place the information as a Story (or group of information) into the Channel (larger scale grouping) that it was published into on the server. You do not need to worry about updating documents or content manually, you can be confident that you will always have the latest information on hand. BTC Dashboard can also be used to create Stories right on your mobile device. You can create a story that has multiple attachment types including videos and pictures taken on your device, or using the Open In feature on another app to send documents to BTC Dashboard User Scenario A typical user example could be a mobile executive who is out visiting a contact, whether a marketing/brand partner, a customer, or even a supplier. Right from the Dashboard, you can show the client the latest marketing video/product, guide/technical specifications/market figures and instantly share that content with them via . At the same time, you are always connected with other users via the comments functions provided in the dashboard. These comments become permanent posts and can be added to time and time again (comments can be removed or added from the server). $

Once a story has appeared in the content view on your device, that story is stored until it is removed by new content being added. This means that you can view and access this story even if you do not have a current data connection. We call this Content Sense. It allows content from the PC world to be delivered securely to mobile devices instantly and securely, and stored locally until altered on the server Cellular Data Usage Please remember that mobile data charges are expensive, and also can be slow. Where possible you should view and download (see Data Connectivity above) stories and their attachments before leaving a Wi-Fi connection (i.e. office), if you know ahead of time that you will need to use a particular resource (i.e. to show a client). This should not discourage you from using the device in mobile environment or access information on the go ; it is simply to remind you to be proactive where possible. The Administrator can use a setting on the BTC server to control the size of content that is automatically delivered to your device. If when viewing content over 3G your BTC Dashboard app shows you an alert as shown below your Administrator has set an alert to inform you about large downloads over 3G. %

5 & 3. How to use BTC Dashboard 3.1. Content View On the left hand side of the dashboard you will find the content view (red circle). Content View can be presented in image-format view or file-format view, both of which are featured below (Figure 1: Image-format & Figure 2: File-format). Figure 1 Figure 2

6 In BTCDashboard, content is presented as Stories. A Story is made up of a mix of text, documents, images, videos, files, comments and HTML content that is grouped together when the Story is published. Up to four (4) Channels are displayed at one time, users can scroll the content view up and down to view other Channels. Whilst there is no limit on the number of Channels that can be created, for optimal performance it is suggested that a maximum of 20 channels be used. Each Channel displays a number of Stories related to that Channel. Stories are shown in the content view, consisting of a title and subsequent document titles including image representation of file format for image-format content view (Figure 1), and an image and a title for file-format content view (Figure 2). Whilst there is no limit to the number of Stories a channel can hold, it is suggested for optimal performance that channels are limited to a maximum of 50 stories. The most recent Story will always appear on the far left, and the oldest story will appear on the far right (you can scroll left and right in each channel). A user can view a story by touching the image, which will display the full contents of the story in the detail view on the right hand side as shown below (Figure 3 & 4). Figure 3 Figure 4 '

7 ( 3.2. Hiding and showing channels You can press the EYE button on the end of a Channel Name to hide a channel shown in Figure 5 and 6. This is useful if you don t regularly use information in that channel, or you want to focus the viewers attention on a specific content set. Figure 6 Figure 5 Tap here to hide a channel

8 ) Show channels To show a hidden channel again, follow the steps below. 1: Tap the EYE button on the top right (Figure 7). 2: Select the channel you want to view. Figure 7

9 3.3. Protected stories A Protected Story can be created on the Server and when delivered to the Device it will be shown as in Figure 8, represented with a lock image and it s heading highlighted yellow. A protected story requires the user to enter their Dashboard password to be entered, before the contents of the Story are downloaded in real time to the device. Once downloaded you can view all the content in the story, add comments and (if permitted by the Administrator) shared. Once you move away from the Protected Area Story, all content in that Story will be removed from your device and the Story relocked. Figure 8 *

3.4. Search within the content view Search within the content view channel is possible by pressing the search icon in the top right corner of the screen (Figure 9). Follow the steps below. 1.

As you type this information in, the content that is irrelevant within the content view screen will disappear. Once complete all that should be remaining is relevant information based on your search input. 4. Press on the information within the content view screen, or otherwise press the cross within the search bar to exit search. "+

11 3.5. Detail View On the right hand side of the dashboard is the detail view (Figure 10). This displays the actual content of a story. Figure 10 On the left hand side of the dashboard, you can see the description of a story. Scroll up and down to read all the description. It can be text, addresses, web site links or HTML formatted content all HTML content is rendered locally on the device and can link to servers on the Internet. Figure 11 ""

12 3.6. Add to favorite By pressing this STAR icon you are adding the file to your favorites. This creates a new channel named Favorites in Content view. Figure 12 Figure 13 "#

13 3.7. Hiding and showing story By pressing this EYE icon, you can hide a story. Figure 14 Figure 15 To show the hidden stories, simply tap the EYE icon at the top right to show all hidden stories (Figure 16). Figure 16 "$

3.8. Sharing Features Each Story can be set to allow or restrict Sharing by the publisher. If the Story you are viewing has a blue Share icon then you are allowed to Share contents of that story.

There are two different kinds of sharing supported in the Default configuration. and Server Sharing are set for each Story in the Server when the Story is published. 15 2: Server Sharing If you chose to send the story contents via Server Sharing, enter the recipient s address on the pop up box and tap Send. With Server Sharing you cannot alter the content of the Story before sending. Faster sending with the server performing the send process. Security enhancement as the content cannot be changed and attachments are sent as one use only links. Ability to restrict on the server whom the user is able to send the Story content to. Attachments send at download links. For anybody who has ever sent an with large attachments and had the bounce back due to size will love Server Sharing. The server sends the Story contents to the recipient with a download link for each attachment. The recipient downloads the contents from server by clicking the link in the . The standard configuration for Server Sharing has a one-time use only link sent for each attachment meaning the attachment can be downloaded only once as it is shown below. Figure 19 "&

16 3.9. Full screen view By tapping EXPAND icon, you can view the content in full screen view. To go back to original size, tap the inward arrows icon. Figure 20 Figure 21 "'

Touching an image will display it in full screen mode as shown below. Touching it a second time will return to the dashboard.

18 3.11. Video If a video is attached to a story, it will appear as follows. Tapping a video image begins playing the video full screen. To go back to the detail view, tap Done at the top left corner. Figure 25 Figure 26 ")

19 3.12. PDF If a PDF is attached to a story, you will see a standard PDF symbol. To open the PDF simply touch on the PDF icon or the name of the PDF file. Figure 27 Figure 28 "*

20 4. PDF Features 4.1. PDF Thumbnails If the PDF file is with thumbnails, tap the screen then it will appear like that of below (Figure 29). You can scroll through the thumbnails by pressing the grey ball on the scroll bar and dragging it along the bar (red circle). Figure 29 #+

4.2. Text Search within PDF By tapping on the Search icon in the toolbar (Figure 31) below you are able to search within the PDF file, as long as the PDF is formatted properly, if the PDF is

Once you have entered information into the search bar, any matches will appear below. By pressing on any of the matches listed below, you will be taken to the appropriate part of the PDF story. 23 4.3. Bookmark You can bookmark pages in PDF. Steps to bookmark pages is the below. 1: Tap the Bookmark icon. (Figure 32) 2: Tap +. Then the page you are viewing is bookmarked. 3: Tap Done. Figure 32 #$

24 4.4. Contents/Channels within PDF Similar in concept to the search PDF function, by clicking on the Contents icon in the toolbar (Figure 33). You can search for content created with the PDF file - if there is no content channel created with the PDF file - then contents won t be shown here. Figure 33 #%

25 4.5. Share Function Figure 34 below is the screen that appears when you press the share button link below. Figure 34 #&

28 Writing If you want to write on PDF, select the PEN icon on the left bottom. Select a colour you want to use and write your annotation anywhere you like Highlighting If you want to highlight a sentence or word, select RECTANGULAR icon placed second left at the bottom. Then draw line(s) where you like as below. Figure 38 #)

29 Straight line If you want to draw a straight line, select the LINEAR LINE icon placed third left at the bottom. This function allows you to draw a straight line. Figure 39 #*

4.6.4. Word balloon If you want to make annotation using word balloon, select the WORD BALLOON icon

Select a place where you want to put the word balloon, and then enter your annotation.

4.6.7. Share your notes You can choose whether you share your notes (annotations) or not.

Comments on Each Story Figure 46 below is the screen that appears when you press the comment link button (red circle).

33 5. Other file types BTCDashboard also supports other types of files including - MSOffice files - Apple iwork files - Videos - MP3 - Text - Other file types being added regularly 6. Simply enter a comment in the space and send. Once a comment is posted it will appear in the channel below the comment tab. Figure 45 Figure 46 $$

The same functionality exists as above whereby the user can scroll left to right within the topics channel.

34 7. Feeds Channel The feeds channel allows the administrator to publish feeds of information on the server for the user to access. Once the administrator has posted the feed, it will appear in the feeds channel of the App. The same functionality exists as above whereby the user can scroll left to right within the topics channel. By clicking on one of the topics you will be taken to that article as can be seen in figure 48 (within RSS Feed found in Figure 47). Figure 47 Figure 48 $%

35 8. Compose Story You can compose story within Dashboard application. Please follow the steps below. 1: Tap the icon on the right hand side. 2: Tap Compose Story and you will be directed to the page below. $&

36 3: Post story to > Select channel you want to upload story. My Channel represents a channel that only you can view on the Dashboard. 4: Story title > Type story title 5: Message > Type in message 6: Attach files > Select from either Choose existing Photo or Video or Voice Note as below. If you tap Voice Note, you can record voice memo and attach it to the story. 7: Protected Story > Select ON if you want to make the story password protected. 8: Tap Upload $'

9. PIN Lock Timeout This is extra PIN security that you can utilize for your Dashboard. When it is set to Never on server side, you do not need to enter PIN to use the app.

When it is set to Never on server side, you do not need to enter PIN to use the app. If it is set to 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes, you will be asked to enter you PIN to use the app. Here are the steps to activate PIN Lock timeout. 1: Select timeout length from 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes. 2: Click Save. 3: Logout from Dashboard if you are logged in. 4: Login to Dashboard. 5: Tap a circle. Then Keyboard will be shown. Enter 4 Create PIN to unlock. 6: Re-enter PIN. 7: Done will be displayed. Now PIN Lock Timeout is activated. Important: When you set PIN, please tap numbers only. If you tap the circles while typing in numbers (e.g. tap a number then tap a circle), the app will be locked and you will need to reinstall the app. Below are Set PIN images from Dashboard on iphone. NOTE: Entering wrong PIN for three times will wipe out all the documents within your Dashboard and you will need to login to the app again using your address and password. $)

39 Forgot PIN / Changing PIN After first time opening Dashboard, if you forgot or want to change your PIN tap Forgot it? and then confirmation pop-up will be shown. Tap OK to restore PIN. You will be logged out and need to log in to reset your PIN. $*
