Check regularly the BKK web site for further details! Summer Camp The BKKs Summer Camp is being held 13th to16th August - Felsted, Essex Applications forms can be downloaded from the BKK web site. BKK Strategy Development As you may be aware we discussed in detail the strategic development of the BKK at our AGM. Briefly I set out the list of initial areas I feel we should concentrate (see below). This list is not exhaustive but is a preliminary start. Coaching Development - Coaching Board/sub committee Tournament Development - Tournament Board/sub committee Web Site - Web Site development and other systems Sponsorship - Sponsorship Sub Committee Public Relations - Sub Committee Advertising - Sub Committee If you would like to help the BKK and the EC with any of the above areas - can you e mail Liam Keaveney stating which area you wish to assist in. BKK National Grading The date for the next National Grading will be: Thursday 13th August at Summer Camp. Please send your completed grading forms to Shihan Liam Keaveney. 3 British Karate Kyokushinkai Chairman: Liam Keaveney (7th Dan) Dear BKK Supporter, Dojo Operator, Instructor 13 th May 2015 Can you support the BKK at K2 Crawley 2015 at the 39th British Open Knockdown Championships on 17th October? This year is the BKK 50 th Anniversary and we will be publishing our magazine at the Open Knockdown Tournament at K2 Crawley on the 17th October giving a retrospective of the past 50 years. You will recall last year s tournament at K2 where we had a tremendous response from some BKK Clubs/BKK Supporters and related businesses who advertised in the magazine and as a consequence, it was possible not only to publish our magazine but we also produced a DVD of the event without these dojos, supporters and business s supporting us, it would have been unlikely we could have produced the DVD to record this great event. This year, again, I am repeating the request and I am asking all dojos, supporters and their members if they wish to support the BKK. How can you do this? If you are a small business, or you offer a service or you wish to advertise your dojo - I would be grateful if you could consider supporting the BKK magazine by taking out an advert. Not only will you be advertising your service, business or dojo in the magazine you will also be bannered as being a supporter/sponsor of the BKK and this will appear in the DVD as it did last year. If you wish to advertise please contact me by liam.keaveney@btinternet.com. Please see the rates list below which gives details of the cost I would be grateful if you could discuss this within your dojos and with as many people as possible, the deadline for the above will be 15 th August - The BKK needs your help and support please try and help. Full-page advert A Half page advert 200mm wide x 145mm high Quarter page advert 100mm wide x 145mm high One-eighth page advert approx. size 100mm wide x 70mm high I would appreciate camera-ready artwork (this will not be a four colour process) but generally black/white and a tint. If you haven t got any artwork then I will only be too happy to assist you in producing this.
