7 Notes Programming lessons are discrete IT modules and can stand alone from topic lessons. Digital Literacy lessons, however, can be more easily integrated, e.g. the modules making use of Office need some content to work with from other lessons. Code.org course 1 and course are both listed as 0 hour modules on code.org. They are long modules and for this reason can be revisited in subsequent years. Children can learn at their own pace so there will likely be a great spread in progress over a number of weeks. Planned lessons in the year are 33 for KS1 and 3 for KS to allow for flexibility. (Closures, bank holidays, trips, etc.) Over the course of the year, Year 1 should be introduced to using their own logins. Year should always use their own logins and begin to save/retrieve their work on the home drive. At the start of the year, Year and Year should set their own network passwords to meet objective Create and manage usernames and passwords. This is revisited when online resources are used which require logins to be created.
