Note: Microsoft POS for.net version 1.12 must be installed. **Note: Dual Cash Drawer is not supported with this receipt printer. 1 P a g e

3 Regular USB cable: Powered USB Cable: The Powered USB cable combines the power cable and USB cable into a single cable. This cable is only supported for use with the HP RP7 and HP RP5800 POS Systems. Both systems have the port for the powered USB cable requires. The regular USB cable is used along with the regular power cable on other POS systems. The installation process will be the same and will require the same drivers. The receipt printer MUST be ordered with both cables. 3 P a g e

4 Installing Microsoft POS for.net The installer for Microsoft POS for.net can be downloaded at: 1. Run the installer and select Install. 2. Enter a User Name and Organization and select Next. 3. Select Accept. 4 P a g e

5 4. Select Typical and then Next. 5. Select Install. 6. Select Finish. 5 P a g e

6 Before you begin please download and extract the installation files from: 1. Run the install file (setup.exe). 1. Choose English for the Setup Language 2. Click OK. 6 P a g e

7 3. Select Next. 4. Agree to the Software License Agreement and click Next. 7 P a g e

8 5. Select No registry file. 6. Select Next. 7. Have Developer selected as the Setup Type. 8. Select Next. 8 P a g e

9 9. At the Start Copying Files screen Select Next. 10. Serial will be checked at the Port Selection screen. Uncheck Serial Port and check USB port and select Next. 11. Uncheck Display the release notes. 12. Select Finish. 9 P a g e

10 1. The Epson SetupPOS will open automatically after the OPOS driver is installed. 2. Click the icon highlighted on the image to add a new device. 10 P a g e

11 3. Select POSPrinter 4. Select Next. At this screen you will have to select the device you are adding. 5. Under Select Device Name, choose the TM-T88V. 11 P a g e

12 6. Make sure all of the information is correct, then Select Next. 7. Select Finish. 12 P a g e

13 The Epson TM T88V OPOS Receipt Printer has been added. If you are not using a cash drawer, You can now exit from the Epson SetupPOS by clicking on File, then Exit. Otherwise, proceed to the next step below, Adding the Cash Drawer. 13 P a g e

14 Adding the cash drawer With the OPOS Epson receipt printer, the cash register must be added using the Epson SetupOPOS. 1. Click on the icon to Add a new Device. 2. Select CashDrawer. 3. Select Next. 14 P a g e

15 4. Change the Detail Model to Multi_AU. 5. Select Next. 15 P a g e

16 6. At the Connection Type, select POSPrinter\TM-T88V. 7. Select OK. 8. Make sure the TMPORT Settings field is set to: TMPORT2 (USB) [TM-T88V] and the Port is being used by field is set to: POSPrinter\TM-T88VU. 9. Select Finish. 16 P a g e

17 10. At the OPOS Contradiction warning screen, have All inconsistent port setting for Hydra device(s) option checked and Disable checking for registry for inconsistencies unchecked. 11. Select OK. 17 P a g e

18 Configuration in CRE/RPE 1. Start the RPE/CRE program. 2. Select the Options/Manager and enter your password (where applicable). 3. Select [4] Setup [K] Friendly Printer Setup and re-enter your password if necessary. 4. Select Receipt in the Select Friendly Printer list on the left. 5. Select the EPSON TM-T88VU Receipt in the Select local Windows printer list on the right. 6. Select OPOS (requires installation of OPOS drivers) as the Printer Type. 7. Select Cut Receipt at this Station. 8. Select Print logo on receipts at this station then select the logo file you would like to print on receipts (if applicable). Note: The Pixel aspect ratio for the logo must be 1:3 (i.e. if the image has a 100px height then the width must be 300px). If the image you are using is not in that aspect ratio then it will be distorted. 9. Select Save & Exit. 18 P a g e

19 Cash Drawer Configuration 1. Select the Manager or Options button. 2. Enter the administrator password where applicable. 3. Select Setup then, Setup Screen. 4. Select the Hardware tab. 5. Select Page1. 6. Under Cash Drawer select the radio button that says Open Default Drawer. 7. Under Default Cash Drawer Port select the appropriate port that your receipt printer is connected to (OPOS:Multi_AU). 8. Select Update. 19 P a g e

20 Printing Barcodes on Receipts 1. Select the Manager or Options button. 2. Enter the administrator password (default: admin) where applicable. 3. Select Setup then, Setup Screen. 4. Select the Receipt tab. 5. Check Print Bar Code On On-Hold Receipts. 6. Check Print Bar Code On Complete Receipts. 7. Select Update to save your changes. 20 P a g e
