1 Page1 Created April 2009 This application note shows how to set up Star single-station printers for receipt printing from InfoTouch Store Keeper POS Software. While this application note was written using the TSP100, these directions suffice for any Star printer model. Page 4 Assigning an OPOS Device Name 1. Ensure the printer has been installed and added to the Printers and Faxes folder. 2. Click the Windows Start button and navigate Programs > StarMicronics > Star TSP100 > TSP100 Configuration Utility 3. Click OPOS in the left menu bar.

The utility will confirm the Check Health test was successfully completed and print out a sample document. Click the OK button.

Click the Apply button in the lower right hand corner. 12. Highlight the cash drawer device name and click the Check Health button. 13. The utility will confirm the Check Health test was successfully completed and pop the drawer. Click the OK button. 14. Close the futureprnt Configuration Utility.

Select Star as the Receipt Printer. 4b. Select OPOS as the Receipt Interface. 4c. Enter TSP100 ** as the OPOS Receipt Printer Device Name. 4d. Enter CashDrawer ** as the OPOS Cash Drawer Device Name. 4e. Set Printer 1 to 40 Columns. ** The OPOS device name entered into the field must match the OPOS device name assigned in the Configuration Utility. If you named your device something different than what was suggested, enter that name into the field.
