2 Installing Microsoft POS for.net The installer for Microsoft POS for.net can be downloaded at: 1. Run the installer and select Install. 2. Enter a User Name and Organization and select Next. 3. Select Accept. 2 P a g e

4 Installing the Appropriate Drivers NOTE: Please leave printer disconnected for driver installation! 1. Start by running the installer file which can be downloaded and extracted from the link below: 2. After extracting the files, right click Autorun.exe and choose Run as Administrator 3. 5 4. Click I Accept below the Installation Agreement 5. Select Next > 5 P a g e

6 6. Fill in each field as you desire, then select Next > 7. Click Next > 6 P a g e

9 Configuring OPOS Driver 1. At the Devices and Printers window, right click the printer and, select Printer Properties. 2. Select the TSP100 Config tab 3. Then select Launch Configuration Application 9 P a g e

10 4. Select Star Line Mode (default) and select OK. 5. Select OPOS on the left side panel 10 P a g e

11 6. Under OPOS POSPrinter Device Names and Control Object Registration, select OPOS CCO from the drop down that first states Not Selected 7. Select Add New on right 8. Enter desired name then click OK 11 P a g e

12 9. Under OPOS CashDrawer and Control Object Registration, select OPOS CCO from the drop down that first states Not Selected 10. Select Add New on right 11. Enter desired name then click OK 12 P a g e

13 12. Select Apply Changes at the bottom, then Close 13. Select OK again on the Star TSP100 Cutter Properties 13 P a g e

14 Configuring this printer with CRE/RPE 1. Within CRE/RPE go to Manager/Options > Setup > Friendly Printer Setup. 2. Highlight Receipt from the options on the left (Select Friendly Printer). 3. Highlight the appropriate Star printer from the top right (Select local Windows printer). You will select the printer name we created earlier (e.g. Star TSP OPOS). 4. Under Printer Type, OPOS should already be selected. 5. Select Print logo on receipts at this station then select the logo file you would like to print on receipts (if applicable). Note: The Pixel aspect ratio for the logo must be 1:3 (i.e. if the image has a 100px height then the width must be 300px). If the image you are using is not in that aspect ratio then it will be distorted. 6. Finally select Save & Exit to commit changes. 14 P a g e

15 Configuring the Cash Drawer in CRE/RPE 1. Go to Manager/Options > Setup > Setup Screen. 2. Go to Hardware and set the Default Cash Drawer Port to OPOS: (the name of the cash drawer) (e.g. OPOS: StarDraw). 3. Select Update to save your changes. Run a test transaction through CRE/RPE to make sure the printer is printing receipts correctly 15 P a g e

16 Configuring Dual Cash Drawers in CRE/RPE 1. Go back to the Printer Properties in Device and Printers, select TSP100 Config, then select Launch Configuration Application 2. Select OPOS on the left panel, then under OPOS CashDrawer and Control Object Registration, select OPOS CCO from the drop down that first states Not Selected 3. Select Add New on right 16 P a g e

17 4. Enter desired name then click OK 5. Select the cash drawer that was just created and click Configure to the right 6. Change Drawer Number to CashDrawer2 then click Accept 17 P a g e
