9 Peripheral Equipment Linear Scale 5 Using the linear scale feedback system, accuracy of the machine can be further improved since the X, Y and Z axes can be controlled to correct positions. Smart thermal compensation ( 95 only) Smart thermal compensation function fitted as stadard optimizes machine accuracy of the spindle and structure by reducing the effects of heat build-up during extended periods of operation. Cooling oil circulates around the spindle bearings to prevent thermal error of the spindle and maintain machining accuracy.
