1 Release History Page 1 Maryland Release History Version August 16, 2012 Version August 10, 2012 Data Integration Rule modification - esp - Inactivation Rule (Important Date). The rule was modified to change the student's IEPPLUS Important Date Type if it was changed in eschoolplus. For example, the student's eschoolplus Exit Reason is Graduated as of 5/23/12. The rule creates an Important Date in IEPPLUS (ie. Graduated 5/23/12). The reason selected was incorrect. The eschoolplus Exit Reason is changed to 'Moved'. The rule will now change the Important Date Type from Graduated to Moved. Manage Compliance Collections - modified the program to correct an issue where the user clicks on the Collections link and attempts to edit the Rules linked to the validation collection. The user is unable to save or navigate on the Compliance Collection page. IEP Wizard - Error was being generated when creating a new IEP using Option 2 - Select existing student records All Forms - when the user is in a particular section of the form (ie. IEP, Goal page) and clicks on the Save button at the bottom of the screen, the cursor will remain at the bottom of the screen, and not return to the top of the screen. Version August 2, 2012 Basic List Report - Modified the report to correctly report the student's grade and building location from either the Placement record or Enrollment record. Specific states using IEPPLUS store the grade and building location in the Placement record, while other states store the data in the Enrollment record. Version July 26, 2012

Minutes Report - modified the report to include meetings that are associated to an IEP or ISP form. The report was corrected to pull the student's grade from the student's placement record rather than the Enrollment/Exit record if the district's state is not equal to OH (Ohio). Version June 7, 2012 IEP Creation Process: Progress was being deleted when it existed in an old IEP where a new IEP was created and the Start Date of the new IEP was earlier than the End Date of the old IEP. This will no longer occur. Progress will remain attached to the old IEP's Goals regardless of the date of the Progress. Notifications: The 'IEP Missing' Notification Rule has been modified to be triggered only by 'Special Education' Enrollment types. Data Integration: The 'esp - Discipline Rule' has been modified to update the Event type and Event Name fields to allow GUID matching to function properly. This will assure correct matching of Discipline records in eschoolplus and IEPPLUS. Version May 25, 2012 Version May 18, 2012 The 'Welcome to IEPPLUS' main screen will now only display the Support icon until a User logs into the software. The Home, Help, Logout icons have been removed and will now appear once the User has logged in.. Student Initialization Form: Date Range Information will now appropriately appear or not based on settings in Screen Configuration. Data Integration: Discipline Rule will no longer default its duration value to "days", Instead, it will

4 Release History Page 4 look to the setting in the eschoolplus Duration Code Table and use the Event Outcome Duration value. WebForm Finalization: Search methods used to find the most recently finalized PDF will now ignore Consolidated and Progress Archives. Version May 3, 2012 Version April 26, 2012 Reporting: Form Creation Report - Report will now pull data on Forms that were created in the selected Date Range. Previously it pulled data if a Form was active within the Date Range. Run a Report - The issue which occasionally causes a "Buffer too small for string or missing null byte." error during the loading of a report has been addressed. Error Reporting: Selection of records for this feature has been modified so that only the latest 5000 records will be selected. This will prevent hard errors from occurring in this section. Version April 19, 2012 Form Summary Page - All Forms: The Revise link will now properly appear on the same day as the Form's End Date. Previously, the Revise link would appear on the day after the Form was ended. Version April 11, 2012 Reporting: Due to formatting issues the Export Links for Adobe, Word, and Excel have been removed from the Run-A-Report page. The current version of the Crystal Viewer which now appears at the bottom of the Display page contains an Export Button which should be used going forward.

5 Release History Page 5 The old buttons have been replaced with an instruction to use the Crystal Viewer's Toolbar Button: After clicking the toolbar button, the User will be presented with this popup window: The dropdown labeled "PDF" in the illustration above may be changed to "Word" or "Excel" in order to export to those formats. Version April 5, 2012 Reporting: Timely Eligibility Determination with Calendar - Instead of using the System Default calendar, this report will now find any calendars active within the reporting date range. As well, the student's Enrollment Record will now be appropriately found even if the Enrollment Type Code has multiple alternate codes attached to it. Version March 29, 2012

6 Release History Page 6 Student Summary Page: This page lists Evaluations and the Tests that are associated with them. Immediately below that it lists Tests that are not associated with any Evaluation. There has been a rule inserted between the bottom of the list of Associated Tests and the top of the list of Unassociated Tests. This should provide a clear distinction between the two types of Tests. Version March 22, 2012 Version March 14, 2012 Report Specification: A new field has been added to the table controlling access to reports. This field will contain a name that SUNGARD assigns to the report that will be hidden from Users. This will allow Users to create custom versions of standard reports that will not be overwritten during a subsequent update. The first time an update is run, Users will find that any custom reports that have already been created will remain as is and the SUNGARD version of the standard report from which the custom report is derived will be added back into the appropriate reports directory. File Attachment Utility: When uploading attachments a JavaScript error will no longer occur. Version March 9, 2012 Utility: Lock/Finalize Batch of Forms - Utility will no longer set the Forms it affects as "InUse". Version March 1, 2012 Rich Text Functionality: The inability to properly edit LabelControl Textboxes has been addressed. Student Summary Page: Test Scores displayed on this page will now order alphabetically.

7 Release History Page 7 Version February 16, 2012 Rich Text Functionality: The issue causing the "Please Wait " message to freeze on-screen when the 65,000 character limit for the textbox is exceeded has been addressed. The issue causing a page in a Form to become inaccessible after pasting content from a Word document has been addressed. Though SunGard has extensively tested the paste operation which is the source of this problem, because of the unknown origin of material pasted into these textboxes it is still possible that a paste operation could cause a software malfunction. If such a malfunction should occur, please retain the source document from which the content was pasted so that our support staff can quickly ascertain the cause and provide a solution. Data Integration: the eschoolplus Discipline Rule has been updated so that it will now accurately match records in IEPPLUS. Version February 2, 2012 Data Integration: eschoolplus Discipline Deletion Rule #2 - Rule will now uncheck the checkbox labeled 'Perform IEPPLUS Insert/Update' even when data is not found in the eschoolplus data selection. 8 Release History Page 8 Text Handling: HTML tag filtering has been enhanced to prevent spurious characters from appearing in Textboxes and Reports. As well, there should now be more consistency between text formatted in a Text Box and what appears on a Report. File Attachment Utility: Utility already prevents files with file names which contain apostrophes from being attached. Utility has been modified to deal with any legacy files that contained apostrophes which were attached before this fix. Referral Management Screen: Typed Notes - This element has been renamed "Reason Detail". Version December 14, 2011 New Functionality Student Inactivation: New Filter Option Added - Grade: This is a common control and the new option will also be available for the following areas: Inactivation Utility Security, Manage Groups / Users, Student Access filtering Utilities: Lock/Finalize a Batch of Forms Utilities: Create a Batch of IEP's: Gifted, IEP, IFSP, TX ARD Utilities: Student Deletion State Reporting with Filtering Options Technical Information: Program looks to Program, Placement OR Student, Enrollment/Exit, Grade field based on specific state setup. (Manage Screen Configuration, StudentSearch, Grade & Enrollment, Grade field = Visible) Referral: Reason for Delay, Other (Type, Alternate Code = 8) comments. A new tab has been added to the Referral Management Page to record Narrative Text for delays. Note: An Administrative User may relabel this tab if desired through Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration, ReferralForm, Item names = NoteGrid_Notes & NoteGrid_Type. Edit the row, change the text in Display Text, Update and Save. Example below is in Referral Overview screen:

9 Release History Page 9 Typed Notes screen example: Version December 8, 2011 REMINDER: The Typed Notes tab is different than the 'Notes' tab. The new tab will enable the Referral Form page to track all Referral-specific data. Notification to clients using Rich Text Functionality: Client-created Custom Reporting If the District creates and maintains Custom Crystal Reports, and Rich Text Functionality has recently been turned on for your District, Users may notice HTML characters appearing in some of the text sections. SunGard has programmed reports delivered to the District to deal with this change. District Personnel will have to make the following changes in their Custom Crystal Reports to eliminate the appearance of spurious HTML characters. Open an affected report and locate the offending Text Object or Formula. Right-click on the field or formula, select "Format Field" and click on the "Paragraph" tab. Notice that the "Text Interpretation" field is set to "none".

10 Release History Page 10 Change the setting to "HTML Text" Save changes and close the Report. The HTML characters should not appear the next time the Custom Report is run. Changes Advanced Reporting: Refresh Process has been updated to handle error messages that contain apostrophes. Users were experiencing a hard error when the process encountered such an error message. Security: Management Options have been added for several Forms (IEP, GIEP, ISP, ETR, and SP). Revise Functionality: A new option has been added called 'Prevent Multiple Revise'. Selecting this option will prevent a Form from being revised multiple times. Version November 30, 2011 New Functionality: Display of Evaluations/Tests in Student Summary: SunGard has modified IEPPLUS to display Evaluations, Tests and Evaluations linked to Tests so that they all display appropriately on the Student Summary Screen. Users will notice an Evaluation linked to a Test appears first; Individual Evaluations appear next; Tests not linked to Evaluations display next under the prompt 'Other Tests'.

11 Release History Page 11 Form Summary: The ability to display the Meeting Reason and/or the Meeting Type for WebForms is now available through Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration, ShowMeetingReason and ShowMeetingType. Edit the record and check visible. The following is an example of a Form Summary Screen with both options turned on. Multiple Meeting Reasons are indicating by an asterisk (*). Acknowledgements: Users can now set 'General Acknowledgements' on forms that Users must check off prior to finalizing a WebForm without running validation rules. Navigate to Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements and add any process items that a User should first acknowledge before continuing. Next select the Form and section you wish to run this on. For Permission to Evaluation, Ready for Review, Validation Options tab, check off the appropriate statements and save.

12 Release History Page 12 This causes a pop-up to appear when this form and action has been selected. Checking off the boxes and continue completes the process. Basically this is a warning/staff acknowledgement that they have reviewed their input. Changes Windows Application Authentication: The IEPPLUS Win32 applications (such as the Billing Applications) now work with Active Directory. Users no longer need to use a SQL Authentication to log into such applications. Users may now use their normal Active Directory Account. Form Creation Wizards: Upon the creation of a Form, the Form will now be flagged as "In Use" to prevent inappropriate access by any additional Users. Reporting: Referral Eligibility and Referral Eligibility with Calendar reports have been modified to ignore an Enrollment Type that has an associated alternate code of "NC". IEP Creation Wizard: When creating an IEP the Wizard will now only pull Associated Organization records which are active as of the Creation Date of the IEP. System Default enforcing the rule that an IEP may not be created if another Unfinalized IEP exists has been created. Should a District wish this feature to be turned on, please contact your Customer Service Representative. Version November 17, 2011 Spell Checking: iespell issues where text was disappearing from Textboxes have been addresses. iespell can be safely used again starting with this version of IEPPLUS. Data Integration: Added an option to synchronize Contact Communications (such as Phone Numbers) between IEPPLUS and eschoolplus with eschoolplus being the Master. If turned on, Contacts Communications in IEPPLUS will now only reflect Contact Communications in eschoolplus. Contact Communications that were entered into IEPPLUS that do NOT appear in eschoolplus will be deleted. Version to Version November 10, 2011

13 Release History Page 13 Utility: Run a Batch of Progress Reports - Has been updated to deal with printing correctly when Rich Text Functionality it turned on. Form Summary Page: The Revise Link for each Form shown on the Service Plan and IEP Form Summary Pages will now display for any Plans active as of the Current Date and also for any Future Date. Version to Version October 27, 2011 Student Record Management: Student records that are copied during various bulk operations in IEPPLUS (Creation Wizards, Revise Processes, etc.) will no longer copy the Finalized setting of the record being copied. The copied record's state will be set to UnFinalized. Version to Version October 25, 2011 File Attachment Delete Form: When deleting attachments from within a Form, the User will now only be presented with the Files that are attached to that Form. Version to Version October 21, 2011 IEP Creation Process (All except OH & MO): When copying records, the process will now ignore Service records which have an alternate-code type of "Wizard Status" and a value of "Ignore". This process now matches that which is in place for Placement records. Security: Search Controls and Report Selection Controls will now obey Student Access Permissions for all Users. Modified Timely Eligibility Report has been modified to correctly pull Enrollment records for a student who has left the district but returned within the timeframe of the report. Security: Password Expiration for Active Directory - Security module will now properly check for the "Password Never Expires" flag. Version to Version July 12, 2011 No Change Version to Version June 30, 2011 Unsafe Script Tag Error Handling: This error occurs when a User creates text in a Text Box that contains the symbol"<" immediately followed by another character. To the security in the Browser this looks like malicious code and previously an error would thrown which was handled in the same manner as any other error in the software. Now, the error will be avoided. IEPPLUS will scan such text and insert a space between any "<" character and any character that follows it. The Browser will no longer consider the text as malicious code. Version to Version June 28, 2011 IEPPLUS, File Attachment sections (Student Toolbar and Forms Summary page) have been improved. Users can now see ALL File Attachments associated with a Student in one place and which Forms have attachments. Users may access the attachment without having to leave the section or open each IEP form to find the attachment. Student, Toolbar, File Documents: in IEPPLUS. Now displays the number of File Attachments a Student has Student, File Documents: Selecting the 'File Documents' section displays the File Attachment Summary screen which will show ALL file attachments linked to the Student.

16 Release History Page 16 In addition, IEPPLUS indicates the specific Form with the attachments and allows you to open this Form and view the attachment section. Upon closing, IEPPLUS returns you back to the File Documents page. Form Summary: This screen has been modified to indicate whether a Form has attachments, and how many, eliminating the need to open each Form to determine its attachments. Should the User hover the mouse over the attachment number, IEPPLUS will display the actual linked file names. You can then select a specific file and open that specific attachment. Security Options: Security, Manage Groups or Manage Users will enable an Administrative User to set up various security combinations for staff access to Add, Edit, View and/or Delete 'Student' or 'Form' File Attachments based on District policy.

17 Release History Page 17 Configuration Options: Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration: There are several options you can control with regard to File Attachment display. FileAttachmentForm: CreationUser (Posted by) IEPPLUS File Attachment Screen Display: StudentNavigationBar: Document Count IEPPLUS Student Toolbar Display: Form Summary: ShowDocumentCount IEPPLUS Form Summary Display: Archives: All form archives now display tooltips when the User hovers over the displayed date/time.

18 Release History Page 18 The tooltip will advise if this Form is the Latest Finalized XXX, Archived XXX or Locked XXX where 'XXX' is the type of form (see example below). Revise Link: The Form 'Revise/Amendment' link will only display on the latest finalized plan in effect as of today. IEP's that have expired prior to today will no longer display a 'Revise' link, the link will only display on an active form. If a future IEP has been created, this form can be unlocked for any necessary corrections and refinalized. When the AR future IEP date has been reached, the Revised link will appear. In addition, If a form is not finalized, the 'Revise/Amended' link will no longer be displayed to avoid User error. Version to Version June 14, 2011 Unsafe Script Tag Error Handling: The errors occur when a User creates text in a Text Box that contains the symbol"<" immediately followed by another character. To the security in the software this looks like malicious code and previously a hard error was being thrown. Now, the error will be handled in the same manner as any other error in the software. The User will be redirected to our standard error handling page allowing the User to recover without leaving the software. File Attachments: An error that sometimes interrupted this process has been fixed. Statement List/Assessment Report: Run a Report, Statement List has been enhanced to provide additional flexibility. The addition of up to four (4) sort / groupings have been added to this report.

19 Release History Page 19 If your Users have created any Personal Template Reports with regard to Statements, they may edit them using these additional parameters. For example, a User may have a Statement Report created 'by building' for State Assessments. That User may now add a sort 'by Grade' to this Report. IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE: Depending on the large number of Statement records this report may access if unfiltered, it may take too much time to run or may return a time-out error message before rendering to PDF. If this is the case, Users must narrow their selection parameters to cause fewer records to be chosen for a single run. The report will need to be run multiple times with appropriate filtering parameters in order to obtain all of the desired data. At one client site, the example shown above returned over ten-thousand Statement records for a single year and eventually returned an error message - at another client, the same setup of the report ran to a successful conclusion because it returned far fewer records in a single run of the report. TIPS: To multiple select items in the window, hold the 'Shift' key and click on the individual items. To multiply select a row of items, hold the 'Control' key and click on the first & last item. To Unselect items (i.e. Subcategory after selecting one), hold the 'Control' and Click on the item in blue to deselect it. Acknowledgements: Administrative Users may set 'General Acknowledgements' on Forms that Standard Users must acknowledge by checking them off prior to Finalizing a Form without running Validation Rules.

20 Release History Page 20 Validation Rules. In Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements an Administrative User may add references to any pre-finalization procedures. Standard Users must acknowledge that they have performed these procedures before Finalization can occur. This capability DOES NOT actually check to see if those procedures actually have been performed - only that the User attempting the Finalization acknowledges that they have performed them. To Create Acknowledgements set up as demonstrated below. Next select the Form and Section for which this Acknowledgement should appear. For Permission to Evaluation, Ready for Review, Validation Options tab, check off the appropriate statements and save. When this form and action has been selected a pop-up will appear. Checking off the boxes and clicking 'Continue' allows the process so protected to complete. Version to Version May 26, 2011 Login Page and LDAP Authorization: Process has been modified to check if a User's password has already expired before attempting a log-in. This pertains only to sites that use Active Directory and have granted their Users the ability to reset their passwords.

21 Release History Page 21 Progress Reporting: Objective Progress will no longer be deleted if the Progress Reporting Template was for 'Goals Only' - This was reported by an Ohio client. Form Summary Screens: The ability to display the Meeting Reason and/or the Meeting Type for Forms is now available through Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration, 'ShowMeetingReason' and 'ShowMeetingType'. Edit the record and check 'Visible'. The following is an example of a Form Summary Screen with both options turned on. Multiple meeting reasons are indicating by an asterisk (*). Student Maintenance: Meeting Staff - An 'Area' field has been added. This field is associated with the 'Excusal Reason' Drop Down List. It may be used to track which Academic Area a Meeting Attendee would have discussed if not excused from the Meeting or which Area will be documented in writing so that it may be discussed in that Meeting Attendee's absence. Version to Version May 19, 2011 Student Management: Meeting Summary Page - Page Header will now display the Date and the Time where it previously only displayed the Date. Generic Reporting: Referral Eligibility w/calendar Report - This report will now use the System Default Calendar. Version to Version May 12, 2011 Progress Reporting: The error that was occurring when attempting to Save and Print the Report after

Version to Version May 5, 2011 Client Operating Environment: Due to an upgrade in our Development Tools the operating environment at each client will be upgraded as well. This will be handled by whoever performs the next update at each client site. The upgrade involves three changes all of which should be transparent to the Users. Microsoft.NET Framework: upgraded from version 3.5 to version 4.0 Crystal Report Viewer: upgraded from version 10 to version 13 IIS Virtual Directory for IEPPLUS: ASP.NET version changed form 2.0 to 4.0 Student, Suspensions/Events, Outcomes: This functionality has been modified to allow for single or multiple Event Outcomes. Before the update containing these changes is applied to your site, a SunGard staff person will contact you. He or she will ascertain what steps will be necessary to successfully allow this new functionality to be used, will explain the options to you, and then will perform the tasks necessary to implement this change. If you are already downloading Events/Suspensions from eschoolplus into IEPPLUS, or would like to begin doing so, this feature will require special update procedures as noted above. Please inform your IEPPLUS Update Representative at the time you request your next IEPPLUS Update. TIP: Suspension Report: The student must have a disability in effect within the range of the Suspension record or they will not appear on the report. Run A Report, Suspension List: This report will now display multiple outcomes.

PA Specific, Available all States upon request: Data Integration between eschoolplus and IEPPLUS has also been modified to allow for multiple Outcomes. In addition, state reporting Discipline Tables, have also been modified to accommodate this change. NOTE: This rule is also available for other states who choose to download multiple suspension outcomes into IEPPLUS. If you wish this rule enabled, please contact support. Firefox Browser Formatting Issues: Student Maintenance Forms: Organization Management Form - Save button will no longer appear in the middle of the page. Letterhead Management Form - Letterhead Link will no longer float out of position covering other elements. Version to Version April 21, 2011 Version to Version April 14, 2011 File Attachment Utility: Adjustments have been made to prevent hard errors from occurring when attempting to upload large files. The limit for any one upload is now 100MB. To be clear, this is the

24 Release History Page 24 total size of a possible single Upload operation. If a User selects multiple files to be Uploaded, the total of ALL of the files must not exceed 100MB. Data Integration: eschoolplus - Discipline Rule has been modified to look at the lowest action number, not necessarily the first. Version to Version March 23, 2011 Version to Version March 15, 2011 Security: Overnight procedure for setting Staff Access to Students has been modified to speed it up so that it will not be interrupted by other IT processes which also occur overnight. Reporting: Unfinalized report - Report has been updated so that Location can be expected to be in either the Placement or the Enrollment record. Report will no longer require a Placement if Location can be found in the Enrollment record.

This has been revised to prevent Services with the specific Alternate Code of 'ISP' from being copied over into a new IEP. Version to Version February 8, 2011 Form Summary Pages: The red "UnFinalized" warning will now appear on all Form Summary Pages instead of just on the IEP Form Summary Page. WebForm Page Security: When opening a WebForm, the First Page of the Form will now always be displayed. Previously the Form would open up on the first page that the User had permission to Edit (which may or may not have been the First Page of the Form). Now, if the User does not have permission to Edit the First Page of a Form, the First Page will open in read-only mode. WebForm Header: Previously, if the Student's Dominant Language was Spanish, the Header displayed this information only if the Student had a Mailing Address. This constraint has been removed. If the Student's Dominant Language is Spanish that information will now always be displayed in the Header. For example: The prior IEP went from 12/15/09-12/14/10. The next IEP is from 12/5/10-12/4/11. All records ending 12/14/10 will now be ended on 12/4/10 (including goals/statements).
