1 Old Release notes Page 1 Texas Release History - Archived Version October 23, 2015 REED Changes to this form include: The Evaluation Type (Initial Evaluation, Reevaluation, Special Request) is no longer tied to a meeting record and will need to be checked manually on the form. The REED Wizard now has the ability to Create or Select a meeting as well as Do not select a meeting. A meeting or ARD Form is no longer required to be linked to the REED form. A REED form can be finalized without a meeting record. Form Information has the ability to link a meeting to this form after form creation. Selecting an ARD will display the meeting participants as 'read only' Selecting a meeting on this form enables the ability to add meeting participants. Not selecting a meeting or linking an ARD form, will no longer display meeting participants on the bottom of the form. In addition, the Form creation date will display in place of Meeting Date. Reporting, Advanced Reporting, TX_STAAR Assessments Reports: There are four (4) new reports located in the drop down on the left under Run Report Information which removes all references to TAK and display STAAR information and accommodations. STAAR Assessments Report STAAR Assessments Summary Report STAAR Assessment Summary w/accommodations STAAR Assessment without Accommodations TX_TAKS-STAAR Report: Remains for historical purposes. Notice of Proposal for Evaluate Form Modified the web form and report to print agency name correctly when there are multiple organization with type of Agency. ARD Form Modified the Participation In Statewide Assessment Section for the SSI to include additional check boxes for each subject for STAAR. Modified the form to eliminate the error message of 'System ArgumentException for Column Next Description', has been corrected. ARD Validation Rules 53209, 53210, were modified to pass validation when the appropriate FIE and Eligibility reports were attached properly to the ARD. Progress Report

2 Old Release notes Page 2 Modified Progress Reporting to not lock up when opening a goal that did not have data for a particular category. Data Integration - Delete Discipline Rule #2 Modified the Discipline Delete rule to ignore any records that did not have an event outcome to avoid a syntax error when the query returned nothing. Manage Existing Student->Filter by The Manage Existing Student->Filter by process was updated to look at all active enrollments. If you search by 'Gifted, NO GIEP' and the student has both a special education enrollment and a Gifted, NO GIEP enrollment the student will be displayed. Version October 9, 2015 Advance Reporting - TAKS/STAAR Modified the refresh process of the TAKS/STAAR report to allow the length of the ST_Middle field to be 32 characters instead of 16. Staff Selection Drop-Down Updated the Staff Selection Drop-Down to only display active staff in meeting drop downs. ARD Creation Wizard Modified ARD wizard, Option 1, to not create new service records if there is an open ended service records for that student. ARD Validation Result Updated the validation pop-up on print preview to work correctly on Internet Explorer 10. It will no longer NOT show the pdf pop-up window when you hit continue after the validation pop-up appears. Evaluation/Meeting/Placement/Service The Diagnosis tab was inadvertently turned on for districts not using this feature. This has been corrected. Data Integration - Discipline Deletion Rule #2 Updated the rule to delete the event outcome in IEPPLUS when the action is removed from eschoolplus. Version September 18, 2015 IEP, Form Information, Reset Date Dates The Reset Date process has been modified to correct an error during processing. Version September 10, 2015 ARD, STAAR section

3 Old Release notes Page 3 Test type will default to STARR. Accommodations selected will save temporarily when switching between test types until the user clicks on the Save button. This change is intended to preserve the data if the user makes a mistake and changes from one test type to another and back again. ARD Form Updated the ARD form from preventing the user from creating the ARD due to an error caused by the "NextDescription" column missing in the CodesGrade Table. ARD Report Updated the text on the ARD report to say CPR "Training" instead of CPR "Certification". Maintenance, Manage Calendars Updated the Calendar option of 'Add calendar days by date range' to add the calendar days to only the selected calendar. Advanced Reporting, Progress Reporting Audit Report Additional Filtering Options have been added to the Advanced Reporting screen: An 'Include Inactive Building(s)' check box was added to include inactive building(s) in the Building Name list. A 'Select All Buildings' check box was added to automatically select all buildings in the Building Name list at the same time. A 'Select All Grades' check box was added to automatically select all grades in the Include Grades list at the same time. Version August 27, 2015 Security Added the permission option for the Prior Written Notice to allow admins to give users and group permission to refresh the form. Version August 17, 2015 IEP, Graduation Plan This form has been updated to match the latest version. IEP, Form Information, Reset Date Dates This process has been modified to eliminate gaps in Placement, Services, Courses and Goals where ever possible. For Example: If an IEP is created with a meeting date of 4/15/14, IEP Range 4/16/14-4/15/15, and the meeting date is changed to 4/1/15, upon selecting the reset service/goal links, the IEP range and placement, services, courses and goal records will change to 4/1/14-3/31/15 if it is within 365 days. If the next IEP starts prior to the end of the existing IEP, the Form Date range will be adjusted forward or back as long as it does not end in July to account for summer records. If the meeting makes the form greater than 365 days, the form start/end dates will NOT adjust; however the placement, services, courses and statements will expand to reflect continuous service.

4 Old Release notes Page 4 Maintenance, Manage Calendars, Calendar Days The ability to add multiple calendar days at once by selected the new 'Date Range' Option is now available. For example entering the date range of 12/25-29 for Christmas Break will add five (5) individual days for you. Data Integration Updated the PLUS360 Data Integration Rule #6. This rule created a TBD Placement records for a student that was no longer referred in IEPPLUS. Unnecessary TBD records that would overlap with existing Placement records are no longer created. Version July 30, 2015 Demographics Increased the middle name length from 16 to 32 characters. This will resolve the issue if a student has a middle name that was more than 16 characters long and was cut off on forms.

5 Old Release notes Page 5 Create IEP Wizard Updated the Create IEP Wizard to eliminate an error when selecting Option 2 (Select existing records). The error was 'SM_Category does not belong to table'. TX ARD Determination of Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance: A new grid has been added to enter Test Scores, Version. The subject areas displayed are controlled by Maintenance, Manage Code Tables, Score Area with an alternate code type = ARD Code. Instructional Accommodations/Supports Determined by ARD Committee: Instructional Accommodations: Removal of the word 'General' in three places. Additional 'Presentation Accommodations' have been added (9) with a new *footnote. All sections now have their own 'Add' button to allow for unlimited 'Other' accommodations. (For Example: Removal of Assessment Type selection of TAKS Changed Assessment Type = STAAR or STAAR Alternate 2.STA 'STAAR, heading change from STAAR INSTRUCTIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS' to 'INSTRUCTIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS ALLOWED On The STATE ASSESSMENT'. Participation in Statewide Assessments: Removal of all references to TAKS. STAAR: Last sentence changed. ELA is now English, Added English 2 and changed Social Studies to US History. Student Success Initiative (SSI): Text changes of STAAR to STAAR-A and STAAR-Alt 2 where appropriate. Removal of 2 STAAR-M sentences and Math not appropriate text. Addition of Graduation CPR Certification check boxes. TAKS/STAAR: Removal of TAKS from title and all references in this section. Removed EOC for Reading, writing Changed English Language Arts to English Removed STAAR Modified from Assessment dropdown and added STAAR Alt 2.

Removed Supplement link for STAAR Modified and added STAAR-A and STAAR Alt 2 Optional Test Admin, Procedures: Changed ELA column to English Rationale for assessment decisions: Removed references to TAKS/STAAR STAAR-Alt, STAAR Alt 2 are now available for selection and the Assessment drop down have been modified for the appropriate form selection. NEW Forms: Supplement Links have changed and two new forms have been added. STAAR A Eligibility Requirements Form STAAR Alternate 2 Medical Exception Requirements Form STAAR Alternate 2 NAAAR Eligibility Requirements Form These forms cannot be added through the FIE/ARD Administration but can be accessed from there once created. In addition validation rules have been added for all three forms as well as security. All courses located on the Schedule of Service page whether they are indicated as Gen. Ed., Spe,.Ed. Or Joint will now display on the Instructional Accommodations/Supports page when Reset Course Accommodations Grid is selected. Committee Signature Minor text change to mention mutually agreeable extension. ARD: Spanish version has been updated with the latest changes Version July 15, 2015 Form Creation Wizard with Meetings Updated the creation wizard to eliminate duplicate meetings in the existing meeting dropdown. 7 Old Release notes Page 7 FIE Reports Modified all FIEs to look at the placement record first, then the referral record to determine the school and grade to display on these forms. IEP, Goals & Objectives, Benchmarks Updated the IEP, Goals & Objectives to filter the Level properly. Security, User, Student Access The student filtering options for grade and location in User Security has been updated for states that store the grade and location in the student's enrollment record. Reporting The Overdue IEP Report has been updated to accurately reflect the total by grade. Notifications Progress reporting notifications have been optimized to improve the performance for all progress reporting notification rules. Version June 17, 2015 Progress Reporting Updated progress reporting so that it doesn't lock up when the clicking on the progress under goals when the following options are checked under Options->Manage Progress Reporting. Note: The attachment category names in the screen shot below may be different for your state. Indicator 13 Report Updated the report to correctly print the 2-Digit Instructional Setting on the Cover Page. Version /03/2015 ARD Report The ARD, IEP Header Section, Location of Implementation field will now display the placement location for both Recommended and Next Recommended locations when they are different instead of just the Next

ARD Notice Modified ARD Notice and Organizations>Rooms, to not blank the room field from the Organization table after it was added to an ARD Notice form. Version May 22, 2015 Initial Placement Report Modified the Initial Placement report to include the ARD date in the statement "I have been fully informed and understand the admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committee report, dated {ARD DATE HERE}, that has been prepared for my child/me." Indicator 7 Modified the form to display the 'Entry Date' after a form has been created. This form will display the student's enrollment start date when it was blank and the error message previously displayed, 'Student is not enrolled in a program'. Transportation Service Request Form Modified the form to pull in the disability linked to the student when accessing the Transportation form in the FIE/ARD Administration section. Progress Reporting Modified the delete function when deleting a progress reporting goal. It will no longer freeze or take more than 5 minutes to actually delete one goal. Reduced page header white space; it failed to print in some occasions if the data doesn't fit the page. Validation Acknowledgement Modified the validation pop-up to correctly display the acknowledgment section prior to the printed report display. This issue only existed with Internet Explorer 10 and lower. File Attachment Validation has been added to the description textbox. Upon entering the file attachment description, only alpha/numeric characters are allowed. Characters such as +, ' ", / in the description will now cause a prompt to display advising you can not continue until they have been removed. Plus360, Add General Ed. Student The search option for 'Add General Education Student' will now allow searching on two characters instead of three to find a student in eschoolplus. Note: This section will only appear if you have the appropriate security setting to integration eschoolplus student's into IEPPLUS.

9 Old Release notes Page 9 Version May 7, 2015 System Option / Form Tab The option, [ ] 'Prevent New Service Plan creation when unfinalized Service Plan already exists?' has been updated to only display for Ohio and California. (Options->Set Systemwide Options->Form) Version April 22, 2015 ARD Form Instructional Accommodation/Support section will now link and unlink BIP without errors to the ARD form. Modified the ARD report to match the ARD History as displayed on the ARD web form. The ARD History displays the meeting dates that are attached to the ARD. FIE/ARD Administration Updated the FIE/ARD Administration section of the ARD form so users will receive a time-out message instead of a SERVER ERROR message when the page has been left idle for an extended period of time. Student Caseload and Student Management Screen Improved performance of the student caseload and the student management pages to load faster. This enhancement will aid users affected by slow loading of screens for caseload on the home page and student management screen. Progress Reporting Updated the progress reporting so that when the options 'Display evaluative statements for Goals' and/or 'Display evaluative statements for Objectives' were checked on the Manage Progress Reporting form the progress report would load correctly.

10 Old Release notes Page 10 Version April 15, 2015 Advance Reporting Updated the Initial Aging Referral to return the correct days for the column C-F. Updated the Initial Aging Referral to calculate and print the F-A column even when the student enrollment start date does not exists. Legacy Progress Reporting Updated the legacy progress reporting to only pull BIP goals when doing progress on a BIP form. It will no longer pull other form goals. Student Referral, Calculate Button Updated the referral calculation to calculate the days within the calendar days and exclude counting the days outside of the range. (For Example: A date of 06/03/2015 was entered, it was returning 08/24/2015 when the calendar end date was 06/05/2015. It should be counting from the next calendar start date and proceed counting 60 days from there. The result should have been 10/28/2015.) Custom Form Generator Maintenance, Manage Custom Forms: Updated the custom forms edit preview to show the new line(s) (i.e. carriage returns) as they were added on the form. Remember to save between editing and print preview. Version March 30, 2015 Invitation Letter Updated the Create Invitation Letter Wizard to pull all the meeting types other than 504 that are active. Previously, it would only pull some meeting types. Legacy Progress Reporting Updated the drop-down for Select IEP in Legacy Progress Reporting to also include Gifted IEPs when appropriate. Data Integration Fixed the PLUS Data Integration Rule #4 to look for enrollment records LIKE %504% instead of LIKE %504. IEP Validation Updated the Student Age calculation to insure a student is identified as age 14 (for example) on or after their actual birthdate. Previously a student that was age 13.9 with his/her birthday the next day was reporting age 14 too soon.

11 Old Release notes Page 11 Version March 11, 2015 Progress Reporting Modified the 'archive' functionality in progress reporting to insure the PDF is created. Advance reporting Updated the Indicator 11 SQL to properly report the Grand totals on the Indicator 11 report. It will now return the correct totals by each individual user running this report. Version February 26, 2015 Progress Reporting Improved Progress Reporting performance when trying access the Progress Report page. It would take a long time for the query to complete which would cause the page to load 3 to 5 minutes later. Spell Checker in Text Boxes Updated the spell checker to recognize that 'langauge' was not a correctly spelled word. Version February 12, 2015 IEP Finalization Fixed an issue to properly display the finalized IEP when the user locked the IEP form, navigated into the Progress Reporting and archived it. Once returning to the IEP and finalizing the form, the IEP will now properly display. Referrals Referral calculation error corrected. Users will no longer see 'subquery returns more than one value' error when calculating evaluation due dates. All forms When the user adds a large amount of data, the text would be cut off which did not allow the user to scroll down in the text box. Version January 30, 2015 Data Integration - Contacts The integration program was updated properly reflect the Contact's Type (e.g. Emergency Contact) in IEPPLUS when the Contact Type is changed in eschoolplus. Time-Out Message The appropriate Time-out message will appear rather than a 'Server Error' message.

12 Old Release notes Page 12 Custom Forms Corrected an issue where the district was unable to click the 'New' button when going to Maintenance -> Manage Custom Forms. Progress Reporting Updated the Progress Report, removing the words 'Testing' in the title. 'IEP Progress Reporting as <date> testing'. The archived progress report no longer opens up when a view-only user opens the finalized IEP/ARD. Legacy Progress Reporting The filter will properly select students based on the Placement grade & location fields via Reporting > Run a Batch of Progress Reports. Fields on the selected Progress Report (e.g. 'Select IEP' drop down menu) are now read-only when the user selects the Legacy Progress Reporting link. The user may only select the Progress Template and Period. ARD Validation Validation Rule ARD I1 has been corrected as it was generating a hard error.

13 Old Release notes Page 13 Version January 9, 2015 Security User Permissions was improperly removing all permissions when the user went into user permissions screen and gave that user permissions to some forms. Upon hitting save, the student access screen the permissions for the user would be removed. Referral Record The Sent Date (Date of Consent) calculation will now also include the Weekends when the 'Mask Weekends' checkbox in the Calendar is selected, and will also include any Calendar Days if they are entered as well. Progress Reporting Corrected issues with how the program was setting the form state (e.g., locked, finalized) and saving IEP and progress reporting archives. The "Display evaluative statements for Objectives" checkbox on the Manage Progress Reporting screen now saves when selected. Corrected an issue that prevented progress report loading when the form start date preceded the placement/enrollment date. Corrected an issue where the user was unable to click on the 'Manage this report' link within the student's progress report. Progress Reporting will correctly print the Letterhead chosen in the 'Print Progress Report' screen. An option has been added to the Progress Reporting > General Options that allows the district to remove the data entry of a Progress Code. ARD ARD modified to address meeting history print issue. Attendance Reports The attendance reports via the Advanced Reporting menu have been modified to increase the performance of running the reports. Version December 19, 2014 TAKS STAAR Report The Advanced Report was modified to include records where the Test Type = *STAAR*M* as well as *TAKS*M* so that the Test Type of STAAR Modified will be included in the report. ARD Transfer and ARD Brief The ARD Transfer and ARD Brief reports were updated as the Supplementary Aids services were not printing in the Schedule of Services section under Other Services. Initial Referral Aging Report (Advanced Reporting)

14 Old Release notes Page 14 Corrected export data to only export data for that user only. Added logic for times when Consent comes in during the summer break: FIE/ER Due Date = Current School Year Start Date + Number of School Days Allowed (e.g. 45). Version December 9, 2014 PLUS360 Data Integration (eschoolplus 3.1 or higher) The "esp - PLUS 360 Integration Rule #2" was creating a duplicate entry in the Special Education Summary > IEP Status section of eschoolplus when the IEPPLUS Enrollment record had no start or end date. Data Integration - Generic Import The Import Process was generating a hard error if the 'FinalizedOnly' parameter was not included in the batch file or in the Set Systemwide Options Administration tab area. Progress Reporting Progress Reporting modified to correct goal sort issue. Initial Referral Aging Report Age Calculation field removed from Advanced Reporting screen and report heading. Campus/building changed to display '*none assigned' if there is no building found. Report options modified to not affect other advanced reports. FIE/ER Due Date, FIE/ER Days Until Due, ARD/IEP Due Date, ARD/IEP Days Until Due, Consent to FIE/ER Completion (C-F) and FIE/ER to ARD/IEP Completion (F-A) calculations corrected. Case manager added to the export file. Version November 21, 2014 Student Drawer Clicking on Student Drawer Alert Icons in IEPPLUS will display text relating to the alert rather than a nonworking link. Student Summary Page If a contact has an end date that is greater than todays date, the contact will no longer appear on the Student Summary page. PDF Streaming (eschoolplus Alerts) The Student's IEP or Gifted IEP was appearing in eschoolplus when the student left the applicable program. The IEP / GIEP form will now appear in eschoolplus in the 'S' triangle when then the student has an active Special Education or Gifted IEP Enrollment record. The latest form will now appear in esp rather than the oldest form for the student. Initial Referral Aging Report *New Report* Use this report to monitor the progress of initial referrals, including due dates, days until due, actual completion dates, and on time performance metrics from the date of parental Consent to completion of each student s first Evaluation Report (ER/ETR/FIE) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP/ARD). For more information, go to Reporting > Advanced Reporting. Select the Report = Initial Referral Aging and Version = Standard. Then click the Docs button to display the help information for this report. Progress Reporting

15 Old Release notes Page 15 When opening the progress report for a student, the progress marking periods were displaying as a day before the actual marking period defined in the marking period templates due to a time zone difference on the server and user workstation. Version November 7, 2014 No changes. Version October 29, 2014 Progress Reporting The program was modified to open the applicable progress report based on what the user selects when prompted for a template due to the student's building or grade changing. Location of Intervention Code Table The code table was updated to remove the following items from the table. These items were not relevant for the State. General Ed less than 10 hrs General Ed less than 10 hrs elsewhere General Ed more than 10 hrs General Ed more than 10 hrs elsewhere Version October 27, 2014 IEP Corrected an error when the user deleted an IEP and attempted to create an IEP again. Progress Reporting In some instances within the New Progress Reporting, the progress notes were being printed under the first goal on the Progress Report. Summary of Performance Updated the form to correctly display the Year of Graduation/Exit based on the student's Important Date Type that is like 'Graduation' (e.g. Anticipated Graduation Date). Goalbook Import Updated the import process to generate a user-friendly message when a goal in the import file has a Level but not a Subcategory. Student Labels 3 Across The report was adjusted to print labels for all 30 entries rather than 27. The labels matches the Avery 5160 label sheet template. Security / Manage Users The system will no longer generate a hard error if the user edits a user via Security, Manage Users and remains on the screen until the system times out. The user returns to the screen and then attempts to change data and save which would produce an error upon saving.

16 Old Release notes Page 16 Transportation Service Request Supplement The report was updated to properly check the Behavior Intervention Plan check box. Service Attendance A Summary button was added to the Attendance screen that will return the user back to the Service Record and not the overall Service Summary screen for the student. Batch Attendance By Caseload Modified the program to select the student once regardless of multiple active enrollment records. Caseload Attendance Progress Reporting Option *NEW* Via the Batch Attendance screen, the user can now enter a Cuing and Session note for each date of service. Once the attendance is saved, the user can click a 'Export to Progress Reporting' button in which the system will create a progress note for the student in the applicable goal or objective. Note: The user must link the service to at least one goal in order to create the Progress note. A new report called 'Batch Service Attendance - Procedures Goals' has been added within the Batch Attendance drop down menu. This report includes the goal or objective linked to the service, cuing prompt, comment, and student's Medicaid number. For further information, please refer to the Caseload Attendance Progress Reporting user guide in the IEPPLUS Help menu under the Utilities menu. Linking Goals/Objectives to Services in a Plan *New Option* This option will enable linking of Goals and Objectives to Services only within a student s form. When accessed through a form, the Service will have a Linked Goals/Objectives tab. Functionality within this tab will allow users to select/link a student s Goals and Objectives to a Service. When accessed through the Student tool bar, the Service will display only previously linked Goals and Objectives (read only). The linking of these record does not impact how the form prints or validation functions. The user can only link Services to Goals and Objectives from within a form. Below is an example of the Service record within the form. There is now a new tab called 'Linked Goals/Objectives'. In order to allow the users to link the Goals and Objectives to Services, the following system option must be checked.

17 Old Release notes Page 17 Options > Set System Options > Form tab: Version October 10, 2014 NOE/FIP/BIP Corrected an issue where an error was generated when creating the form if there was an active Placement record within the date range of the new form. Notice of Proposal to Evaluation Fixed a typo on the Notice of Proposal to evaluate, the word recommended was spelled wrong. Version September 29, 2014 Security User Security - Modified the 'Find Students' function to properly display the students based on placement staff as of today's date. Version September 12, 2014 ARD Notice The ARD Notice web form and report was updated to properly print the correct address for each contact. Progress Reporting Goal/Objective Attachment Display - New options have been added to the "Manage Progress Reporting" screen that allows the user to see the Goal and Objective attachments on the Progress Reporting Notes pop -up screen. The new administration options are located under Options > Manage Progress Reporting. Below is an example of a student's progress note with goal/objective attachments visible:

18 Old Release notes Page 18 The Progress Reporting Notes add/edit pop-up screen has been enlarged. When new Progress Reporting is activated (via System Options > Progress Reporting > New Progress Reporting) the system will no longer display the Progress Reporting link in the Utilities menu drop - down. This will help prevent users from inadvertently entering Legacy Progress Reporting notes into a student s IEP that is already using the New Progress Reporting method. A new Progress Reporting option has been added to the Options > Progress Reporting area called 'Active Period to Open In'. This option determines what period to open up into when the user accesses a student's progress report. Version September 2, 2014 ARD ARD Validation Rule #53228 was modified to properly fail when FIE is attached to the ARD. Version August 20, 2014 Placement Summary Fix applied to lookup the correct setting when determining whether to display the Attendance link on the

19 Old Release notes Page 19 Student's Placement Summary screen. Notifications Corrected an issue where the user was unable to edit their address in the 'send notifications to' field under Options, Notifications, User Subscriptions. Manage an Existing Student Corrected the filter selection for Grade as the program was filtering on the Grade Code ID rather than the Grade itself. Security - By Enrollment Type A new feature has been added to Group Security called 'Enrollment Type'. All active Student Status Types will be displayed on the Main page of the Security Group. The school district can now limit user's to see only students with certain enrollment types (e.g. 504 Students only). Security A fix has been made to the feature that enables the Case Manager (blue icon) to be automatically set based on security. (SPIUtils.exe on the Student Access tab > Reset student access for all Caseloads, where an error was occurring ("Unhandled Exception") and the process would stop. The user would no longer have any access to students.

Version July 18, 2014 Auditory Impairment Eligibility On the form, Section C was modified, no longer displaying the text box expanded across the page requiring the user to use the scroll when a large amount of text is entered. Progress Report Updated the report increasing the size of the Key text. The "R" and "O" denoting Revised and Original forms will no longer display. This functionality will apply to newly finalized forms only. Previously finalized forms will remain with the date the form was finalized. This then caused other rules reported like C.1 through C.8 to fail as they are associated to the B1 rule. Progress Reporting Fixed bug relating to Grade range not saving to a Progress Reporting template, if the grade range and then the building was selected. Fixed bug where user was unable to type in a date when adding a period through the 'Manage This Progress Report' link. Fixed a bug where the dash "-" between the Staff Member name and the Position was displaying when the 'Print position only' option was chosen in the Manage Progress Reporting screen. Fixed a bug where the 'Goals' section (bottom-half) of the screen was not fully spanning the entire screen width. Security A new security parameter has been created which provides a grace period, extending access to a student that no longer is available to the user or security group. The parameter is defined in the System Option \Administration Tab, indicated in the 'Set Student Access' text box. The parameter syntax is 'StudentAccesssGracePeriod=5' as indicated in the example below. By indicating a parameter of 5 as an example, the IEPPLUS security users and group will maintain the student in the security list up to additional days after the student is no longer in the security list. This parameter is helpful for when a student exits the district as an example, allowing the staff to maintain security permissions for the student for an additional 5 days. Example: Student Johnny Ballinger changed from Building A to Building B as of 5/20/14. With a Grace Period set to 5, the student will still remain in the Building A security group until 5/25/14. Version May 12, 2014 Notifications Historical days to search A new selection parameter has been added to the Values column in the Notifications System Setup tab in version and with a default value of 730. The default value has now been changed to 0. Setting the value to 0 will create a notification message for any unfinalized form using the highest checkpoint value (e.g days). Due to an enormous amount of unfinalized forms within 730 days, the system was generating a high amount of notification alerts, however, districts can change this value.

REED Fixed an issue where the user would receive an error upon saving data for a REED that is not attached to an ARD. Release / Waiver When the Sent Date or Received Date fields were not visible, the field description was no longer visible, however, the date field was still visible and accessible and the Release/Waiver Type field was no longer active.

The rule will select all referral with a missing consent date where the referral date is within 365 days as of todays date. Those selected records will then be checked against the check point value. Any referral less than 365 days from today will be ignored. The Student s Form is Not Finalized rule, Historical days to search value is set to 365. The rule will select all forms where the form start date is within 365 days as of todays date. Any form start date less than 365 days from today will be ignored.

The Progress Reporting link will be visible and accessible to the user based on security. A new security item called 'Report Progress on Unlocked Forms' has been added to the Progress Reporting permissions area of Groups and Users. When the item is checked, it will allow the user to report progress (the Progress Reporting link will be visible) on unlocked forms (e.g. IEP's). This allows users to report progress on forms that are in a Revised/Amended unlocked state. This only occurred if the customer was located at a different time zone than where the IEPPLUS server resided. In this case, the user will be able to deselect the existing forms (if any) in the drop down list and click the Add link. This action will open a new form for completion. (The exceptions are Disability Reports, FIE and FBA forms which are created outside the ARD). Users can link and unlink multiple forms to the ARD, ARD Brief and ARD Transfer. Non-standalone forms cannot be unlinked only deleted. A Delete button will display next to the linked form rather than an Unlink button in these cases. Once linked, the users can access a form by clicking on the form link displayed. Form Summary and FIE/ARD Admin screens will cross reference the linked forms, including the NOE and CRSTO form summary screens. Supplements will create with the parent form meeting date or start date if no meeting exists. STAAR-M and STAAR-Alt Forms The forms can only be created from within the ARD form. The forms can no longer be created from the FIE/ARD Administration page. The removal of the creation of the forms from the FIE/ARD Administration page is due the inability to link the form to the applicable school year. The user can access the STAAR forms from the FIE/ARD Administration page after they are created through the ARD. Multiple STAAR forms can be created within the ARD. ARD Form On the TAKS-STAAR section of the ARD, the US History Modified check box was not saving. On the Determination of Present Levels section of the ARD, the check boxes were not displaying correct using the FireFox browser only. Version April 3, 2014 ARD/ARD Brief/ARD Transfer Forms Instructional Arrangement Calculation Grid System Option - a new system option in the Forms tab has been created to allow the district to display the Calculation Grid in the form. ARD Form In Step 4 of the IEP creation process, the sentence 'Select existing Goals' was removed for nonadministrators when selecting option 2. Corrected an issue where the 'Unrevise' link was not appearing when the user finalized the progress report. Updated the report to print the correct location of implementation. The Goals now includes the ability to indicate the Position Responsible, Level of Mastery, Evaluation Procedure and Schedule of Evaluation as the Objectives currently has. Rule ARD H-4: Each Goal must have an associated Responsible Party. Rule ARD I: At least one goal is required in the ARD. ARD Transfer Report The report was not properly printing the Instructional Setting as indicated in the form. FIE Form Updated the report where the Specific Learning Disability Supplement showed the incorrect grade and location on the report. Autistic Supplement Updated the report, removing the HTML tags. Progress Reporting Additional enhancements as follows: Updated the security permissions where the Lock and Exclude features are still correctly assigned to the 'Lock' security permission and now, Unlock and Include are correctly assigned to the 'Unlock' security permission. Upon opening the Progress Report, the user will be brought to the 'earliest' unlocked marking period, no longer the marking period as of today's date. When printing, the letterhead can now be selected. When archiving the marking period, the pdf "P" image date will now reflect the marking period date, no longer the date the pdf was created.

Summary of Performance Modified the report where the Year of Graduation was not printing on the report. Security Corrected an issue when the user attempted to search for a User under Manage Users. Batch Attendance By Caseload Removed inactive students from appearing in the selection of students. User Impersonation Corrected an issue when a user Impersonated another user, it was showing all of the prior user's students, not the active user's students. Student Listing The Student Listing on the Home Page now includes the building and grade. If the system does not find an active building and grade as of todays date, it will indicate the building and grade in the future. If no future building and grade is found, it will indicate the last previous building and grade for the student. Student Search The Student Search now displays the building and grade as well as a 'show All Students' check box. When the user types three characters (or more), the system will search for students in the users Caseload matching the characters typed. The user can click the 'Show All Students' check box to list all students (in caseload and non - caseload) matching the characters typed.

Note: The building and grade display is managed under the Manage Screen Configuration\StudentSearch area. Version February 28, 2014 User Impersonation An 'Administrator' of IEPPLUS can now impersonate any user of IEPPLUS. As an Admin user, go to Manage Users, click on the user to impersonate. The application will automatically log out and log in immediately as that user. See HELP\ Security for more information. Indicator 11 & Indicator State Changes Student record selection has changed in that the reports will now only count those students in the school year of the ARD date. For example, if the consent date is in school year but the ARD date is in school year , then the report will show that student as "Not Counted" on the report. When the school year report is generated, then the student will be counted on that report. As per the State change for 2014, the timeline for "Consent to FIE" was changed to 45 days from 60 days and "Consent to ARD" has changed from 90 to 75 days.

37 Old Release notes Page 37 The calculation for the number of days is now based on school days, no longer calendar days. The number of days calculation will eliminate holidays and weekends based on the IEPPLUS system calendar. A new error message has been created on the reports so that they will indicate any student whose ARD is outside the date range of the report. These students will also display as "Not Counted" as well. Please refer to the user document by clicking on the DOCS button for detailed information. Progress Reporting Removed the IEP form validation process when validating progress reporting. Advanced Reporting - Progress Reporting Audit Export - the export will no longer include students who have inactivated as of the marking period date or if the IEP includes any legacy progress notes. Batch Attendance Modified the student / consumer selection to prevent students/consumers who are inactive as of the date of attendance from being selected. Daily and Monthly templates for Placement, Course and Services are affected. Data Integration Summary Report Corrected an issue where a newly imported student into IEPPLUS was not appearing on the report. Autism Supplement Report Removed the HTML characters from printing on the report. ARD Brief Report only. Updated the report to properly display all TEK Modified and Related Service data. REED Updated the form to no longer generate a hard error when selecting one of the three check boxes for the meeting reason. Notification Rules Two newly released rules were temporarily modified. The 'Student s Referral Requires a Consent Date' and 'Student s Form is Not Finalized' rules were temporarily modified to only generate a message based on the maximum checkpoint only. This temporary change will limit the large amount of daily notifications for these particular rules due to old Referral records and unfinalized forms in the IEPPLUS system.

38 Old Release notes Page 38 Version February 14, 2014 Meeting Summary Screen The meeting summary screen will no longer show the extension information if the extension tab is not enabled via Manage Screen Configuration. Progress Reporting The progress reporting creation process will now ignore inactive buildings. Placement Grade Corrected an error that was occurring when the grade associated to the Placement record was no longer in the Grade code table. Notification Alerts A duplicate notification alert message was being created for a student that had been Enrolled. ARD Remove Amendment & Warning Messages The ability to remove an Amended/Revised form is now available. This feature will be used when the revision did not occur (e.g. meeting was cancelled, user clicked the Revise link in error) and the form should be returned to the original state. All user documents that have the ability to be revised, now have a new section in the guide called Remove Amendment. A summary of this feature is listed below. Please reference the user documentation from the Help menu. 1. Remove Amendment New functionality has been added to any form that is able to be revised (e.g. ARD) that allows the user (with security permissions) to remove the Revision/Amendment. To do so, the user would click on the "Remove Amendment" link on the Form Summary Page. To remove the Amendment/Revision and return the form to its previous state, click on the Remove Amendment link from the Form (e.g. ARD) Summary page. Upon clicking on the link, a pop-up screen will display, alerting the user that any modifications they made to the form must be manually changed back prior to the Remove Amendment process. The Remove Amendment process does not remove any changes that were made after the form was revised. Clicking the OK button will perform the amendment removal process, while clicking the Cancel button will return the user back to the Form Summary Page and the form will remain in the revised state.

39 Old Release notes Page 39 The Remove Amendment process will perform the following: re-finalizes the form. creates two audit records in the form under the Maintenance > Form Information > Form History area indicating the Remove Amendment process: the first record displays the Amendment Removal process, date, time and user. the second record displays the form returning to the Lock state, date, time and user. changes the archived form (pdf file). If the form is the Original Archive and the Remove Amendment link is chosen, then the O icon on the Archive is removed. If the form is the Revised Archive and the Remove Amendment link is chosen, then the R icon on the Archive is removed. 1. Revise/Amend & Remove Amendment Warning Messages A new option has been added that allows administrators to enable/disable warning messages for the Revise/Amend & Remove Amendment actions. To do this, the administrator would navigate to Options > Set Systemwide Options > Form tab and then enable/disable either or both of the options. By default, both warning messages are enabled (both checkboxes are unchecked). To enable the Revise/Amend warning message, the administrator should leave the 1 st checkbox unchecked. When this option is enabled, the user will see the following pop-up message when the Revise/Amend link on the Form Summary page is clicked: To enable the Remove Amendment warning message, the administrator should leave the 2 nd checkbox unchecked. When this option is enabled, the user will see the pop-up message when the Remove Amendment link on the Form Summary page is clicked. See example in item #1 above. 1. This report is a way to determine the percentage of preschool children with ARDs who show an improvement in the three outcome areas as follows: 1) Positive social-emotional skills (including social relationships), 2) acquiring and using knowledge and skills, and 3) taking appropriate action to meet needs. The Child Outcomes Summary Form (COSF) give providers a way to summarize student info gathered from multiple sources to address the three outcome areas listed above. The 7-point scale determines the extent in which a student's functioning on each outcome area is ageappropriate, and if the student made progress towards that behavior. This new form is on the student toolbar under Internal Forms > Indicator 13. The documentation can be found in the Help Menus under Forms > TX Forms > Indicator 7. Indicator 13 Form (New Form) - The TX Indicator 13 Form has been implemented into IEPPLUS. The form is a way for states to determine how well they address a student s high school transition needs to help them achieve their post-secondary goals. Indicator 14 Form (New Form) - The TX Indicator 14 Form has been implemented into IEPPLUS. The form is used to report post-secondary outcome, education and employment goals of special education students that dropped out or are expected to graduate by the end of the school year. Version January 18, 2013 IEP Revise Wizard (CA, CT, DE, IL, NY, OR, PA, TX, VA only) - A new system option has been created to allow or disallow a user from selecting prior IEP meetings when revising an IEP, GIEP or ISP Plan (including VA BIP). From the Home Page, Options Menu, select Set Systemwide Options link. Click on the Form tab. A new item labeled "IEP Revision Option(s)" has been created (see first example below). When creating a revised/amended IEP using the Revise/Amend link on the Form Summary page (see 2nd example below) and the 'Exclude any previously linked Meetings during the IEP/ARD Revision Wizard' is checked, no previously linked meetings associated to the original IEP will be available in the drop down menu of the wizard. 74 Old Release notes Page 74 Version December 8, 2011 Notification to clients using Rich Text Functionality: Client-created Custom Reporting If the District creates and maintains Custom Crystal Reports, and Rich Text Functionality has recently been turned on for your District, Users may notice HTML characters appearing in some of the text sections. SunGard has programmed reports delivered to the District to deal with this change. District Personnel will have to make the following changes in their Custom Crystal Reports to eliminate the appearance of spurious HTML characters. Open an affected report and locate the offending Text Object or Formula. Right-click on the field or formula, select "Format Field" and click on the "Paragraph" tab. Notice that the "Text Interpretation" field is set to "none". Change the setting to "HTML Text" Save changes and close the Report. The HTML characters should not appear the next time the Custom Report is run. Changes Advanced Reporting: Refresh Process has been updated to handle error messages that contain apostrophes. Users were experiencing a hard error when the process encountered such an error message. Security: Management Options have been added for several Forms (IEP, GIEP, ISP, ETR, and SP). For Permission to Evaluation, Ready for Review, Validation Options tab, check off the appropriate statements and save. This causes a pop-up to appear when this form and action has been selected. Checking off the boxes and continue completes the process. Basically this is a warning/staff acknowledgement that they have reviewed their input. Changes Windows Application Authentication: The IEPPLUS Win32 applications (such as the Billing Applications) now work with Active Directory. Users no longer need to use a SQL Authentication to log into such applications. Users may now use their normal Active Directory Account. Now, the error will be avoided. IEPPLUS will scan such text and insert a space between any "<" character and any character that follows it. The tooltip will advise if this Form is the Latest Finalized XXX, Archived XXX or Locked XXX where 'XXX' is the type of form (see example below).

IEP's that have expired prior to today will no longer display a 'Revise' link, the link will only display on an active form. If a future IEP has been created, this form can be unlocked for any necessary corrections and refinalized. When the AR future IEP date has been reached, the Revised link will appear. In addition, If a form is not finalized, the 'Revise/Amended' link will no longer be displayed to avoid User error. 85 Old Release notes Page 85 If your Users have created any Personal Template Reports with regard to Statements, they may edit them using these additional parameters. For example, a User may have a Statement Report created 'by building' for State Assessments. That User may now add a sort 'by Grade' to this Report. IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE: Depending on the large number of Statement records this report may access if unfiltered, it may take too much time to run or may return a time-out error message before rendering to PDF. If this is the case, Users must narrow their selection parameters to cause fewer records to be chosen for a single run. The report will need to be run multiple times with appropriate filtering parameters in order to obtain all of the desired data. At one client site, the example shown above returned over ten-thousand Statement records for a single year and eventually returned an error message - at another client, the same setup of the report ran to a successful conclusion because it returned far fewer records in a single run of the report. TIPS: To multiple select items in the window, hold the 'Shift' key and click on the individual items. To multiply select a row of items, hold the 'Control' key and click on the first & last item. To Unselect items (i.e. Subcategory after selecting one), hold the 'Control' and Click on the item in blue to deselect it. Acknowledgements: Administrative Users may set 'General Acknowledgements' on Forms that Standard Users must acknowledge by checking them off prior to Finalizing a Form without running Validation Rules.

86 Old Release notes Page 86 In Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements an Administrative User may add references to any pre-finalization procedures. Standard Users must acknowledge that they have performed these procedures before Finalization can occur. This capability DOES NOT actually check to see if those procedures actually have been performed - only that the User attempting the Finalization acknowledges that they have performed them. To Create Acknowledgements set up as demonstrated below. Next select the Form and Section for which this Acknowledgement should appear. For Permission to Evaluation, Ready for Review, Validation Options tab, check off the appropriate statements and save. When this form and action has been selected a pop-up will appear. Checking off the boxes and clicking 'Continue' allows the process so protected to complete. Reporting: ARD Transfer Report - Formatting on the Placement Determination Page has been fixed. The report will no longer show multiples of the same Placement. Version to Version May 26, 2011 Login Page and LDAP Authorization: Process has been modified to check if a User's password has already expired before attempting a log-in. This pertains only to sites that use Active Directory

Progress Reporting: Objective Progress will no longer be deleted if the Progress Reporting Template was for 'Goals Only' - This was reported by an Ohio client. Form Summary Screens: The ability to display the Meeting Reason and/or the Meeting Type for Forms is now available through Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration, 'ShowMeetingReason' and 'ShowMeetingType'. Edit the record and check 'Visible'. The following is an example of a Form Summary Screen with both options turned on. Multiple meeting reasons are indicating by an asterisk (*). Student Maintenance: Meeting Staff - An 'Area' field has been added. This field is associated with the 'Excusal Reason' Drop Down List. It may be used to track which Academic Area a Meeting Attendee would have discussed if not excused from the Meeting or which Area will be documented in writing so that it may be discussed in that Meeting Attendee's absence. Version to Version May 19, 2011 Student Management: Meeting Summary Page - Page Header will now display the Date and the Time where it previously only displayed the Date. Generic Reporting: Referral Eligibility w/calendar Report - This report will now use the System Default Calendar. Microsoft.NET Framework: upgraded from version 3.5 to version 4.0 Crystal Report Viewer: upgraded from version 10 to version 13 IIS Virtual Directory for IEPPLUS: ASP.NET version changed form 2.0 to 4.0 Student, Suspensions/Events, Outcomes: This functionality has been modified to allow for single or multiple Event Outcomes. Before the update containing these changes is applied to your site, a SunGard staff person will contact you. He or she will ascertain what steps will be necessary to successfully allow this new functionality to be used, will explain the options to you, and then will perform the tasks necessary to implement this change. If you are already downloading Events/Suspensions from eschoolplus into IEPPLUS, or would like to begin doing so, this feature will require special update procedures as noted above. Please inform your IEPPLUS Update Representative at the time you request your next IEPPLUS Update. TIP: Suspension Report: The student must have a disability in effect within the range of the Suspension record or they will not appear on the report.
