2 Description ENOVIA LCA V5 Features applications that extend and supplement the best practices available in ENOVIAVPM and ENOVIAPM product families. Built on the V5 enterprise architecture, it includes the enterprise PPR hub, taking advantage of experience acquired building CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIAVPM, and ENOVIAPM. Delivers six role-based standard configurations and numerous shareable products for program management, content management, engineering, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain support. New Products in V5.10 ENOVIA PPR Hub Gateway (5691-PGW): ENOVIA PPR Hub Gateway features open data import and export infrastructures for exchanging data in standards-based formats (STEP, PDM Schema), ENOVIA proprietary formats (CDM, ENOVIAVPM, ENOVIAPM), and any non-standard exchange or legacy formats. The export/import infrastructures, or engines, consist of several components, each of which has a specialized function to perform on the exchanged data: extraction, validation, mapping, and reconciliation. You can tailor each component to address exchange format characteristics and implement exchange rules. Mapping components for exchanges in STEP AP203/204, PDM Schema 1.1, and ENOVIA formats (CDM, ENOVIAVPM, ENOVIAPM) are included in the optional ENOVIA PPR Hub STEP Part21 Connector product. CAA-RADE C++ Advanced Development Configuration is required to create or customize the exchange components. ENOVIA PPR Hub STEP Part 21 Adapter (5691-STH): ENOVIA PPR Hub STEP Part 21 Adapter includes exchange components required for performing STEP data exchange and migration from other ENOVIA solutions. ENOVIA PPR Hub Gateway uses exchange mappers to perform STEP data exchange. Open export/import engines include other exchange components such as data extractor, checkers, and merger. You can customize these components to handle exchange format characteristics and exchange rules. In addition to exchange components for STEP AP203/204 and PDM Schema 1.1, mappers specific to ENOVIA proprietary formats (CDM, ENOVIAVPM, and ENOVIAPM) are also included to allow for migration and data reuse from these solutions to ENOVIA LCA. ENOVIA Supply Chain Exchange (5691-SCE): Use this product with the ENOVIA PPR Hub Gateway infrastructure to enable: Program managers and supervisors to define and maintain data exchange profiles and rules End users to select push-button data exchange functions, simplifying the exchange process and enhancing collaboration between vendors and the extended enterprise Each data exchange is defined by three parameters: a project, a partner, and an exchange file. End users define the exchange parameters, and the system performs the exchange (import data to ENOVIA database or generate exchange files) based on predefined exchange profiles and rules. This hides the complexity of data exchange setup to end users and ensures repeatability and traceability of the exchange procedure for each partner. MultiCAx PD Plug-In (5691-PDL) This product replaces the MultiCAx P Plug-In (5691-DPL), which is officially withdrawn. MES and new orders can no longer be placed for 5691-DPL. The new product (5691-PDL) is available with many of the same features. A migration path is available for customers of 5691-DPL. For a description of this product, refer to Software Announcement , dated October 29, Functional Enhancements in V5.10 ENOVIA Inter/Intra Enterprise Data Exchange is repackaged into three products: PPR Hub Gateway PPR Hub STEP Part 21 Adapter Supply Chain Exchange Refer to New Products in V5.10 for a detailed description. ENOVIA Application Desktop: The new ENOVIA user home page includes convenient hyperlinks to work tasks and engineering changes. ENOVIA Action Editor Detach objects from modifications when the user changes plans. View and manage effectivities under a common condition at the individual modification level. EBOM Part and Assembly Detailing Predefine assembly references. Create assembly reference using Part Editor. The assembly reference can contain child instances of new parts as well as existing parts. Effectivity information can also be applied to the reference assembly and will subsequently be used when the assembly reference is instantiated in a given product. Automatically capture under an action whenever a part is created or versioned. Using this option, manual copy/paste of the part to an action/ec is no longer required. This function includes parts created and versioned directly in the product structure. Show only the latest version of a part when displaying a product with no filter applied. When a filter is applied to the product, the system calculates and shows the correct version of the part. Show/no-show standard parts in the product structure. EBOM Product Definition and Configuration: Reuse product functional breakdown structure across products using the Generic Product Component (GCo) structure. Knowledge pertaining to functional breakdown of a product can be defined once and reused in several products with similar functional breakdown. The component structure helps generate multiple viewings of a product through the different functions of its components (for example, electrical system, chassis, power train)

3 EBOM Product Variant Management Better program and product planning. New enhancements include the ability to apply date and milestone effectivities to product classes, product variants, and the rules applied to specifications. For example, date effectivity for an automobile model (product class) ensures it will not continue past a certain date. This control is carried through the product detailing process to ensure that designers properly assign correct product specifications to their design. Sort and search capability in the authorization and type definition tables. Tighter check for product planning rules in the product detailing process ensures that all product planning definition and rules previously defined by the product planner are respected during the product detailing process. When an instance is created in the product structure, the effectivity expression for the instance is validated to ensure that any specifications used in the effectivity expression are valid for the intended product model, and respect any mutually exclusive rules that are previously defined for the intended product model. ENOVIA Product Interference Management Redirect clash results automatically to new model after modification. Share clash comment and status between duplicate clashes (batch). Notify user that clash computation is done. ENOVIA Structure Penetration Management: two existing penetrations into one. ENOVIA Catalog Management Merge Specify ENOVIA catalog in CATIA PRM setting. CATIA users can automatically access catalogs stored in the ENOVIA database directly from a CATIA session. Lock catalog entities. ENOVIA Engineering Change Management Two new predefined conditions are provided for additional action/engineering change order (ECO) release validations. These conditions can be called from the action/eco life-cycle gate before they are released to validate the following: Any associated object of an action has an effectivity expression. All actions associated with the ECO have a valid effectivity expression. Tool-tip is included in the effectivity distribution matrix to show the complete effectivity expression related to each ECO modification. ENOVIA Workflow Designer Define exit and entry conditions for an activity. Predefine error recovery activities by using a new predefined error transition. Reuse both predefined and user-generated life-cycle commands. Create collapsible section of a workflow graph when a series of activities is grouped under one summary activity. ENOVIA Workflow Management: Certain dynamic activities may require collective responses from a given role whose members may not be known during the time of the workflow definition. Dynamic activities are created during run time for each member of the given role. There are three types of dynamic activity: Dynamic notifications inform each member of a role and require no response. Dynamic reviews send notices to and collect responses from each member of a given role. The workflow owner may define collective response criteria (all, majority, specific number, or any have reviewed) for the workflow to continue. Dynamic approvals provide the approver with more responses than dynamic reviews (approve, disapprove, rework) that can be set up in a voting mode. ENOVIA PPR Hub Enterprise PPR Infrastructure product is renamed to PPR Hub and its definition expanded to include the interoperability and integration between all Dassault Systemes V4 and V5 products. It consists of the original PPR modeler and three existing products: CATIA Hub, PM Hub, and the SMARTBOM briefcase. The CATIA Hub and PM Hub are existing products that were withdrawn as individual products and are now included in the PPR Hub. The SMARTBOM/SMARTEAM data exchange was part of Inter/Intra Enterprise Data Exchange and now is also included in the PPR Hub. The MultiCAx and MultiPDM products, formerly grouped under the Portal Foundation, are now part of the PPR Hub Solutions Foundation. SMARTBOM briefcase exchange is improved through Action control export/import, support for multilevel configured assemblies, and intelligent reconciliation selections. Early manufacturing availability is achieved by sending ENOVIA LCA product structure, product configuration, and document files by project to DELMIA. CATIA Hub is enhanced with functions for customers making the transition from CATIA V4 to CATIA V5. Interoperability with CATIA V5 is enhanced with the capability to expose constraints on imbedded products, and the management of twin models (automatic generation of CATIA V4 models when CATIA V5 models are saved in ENOVIA) to assist in the transition from V4 to V5. Multi-CAx products are enhanced with the following: STEP geometry plug-in for inserting a STEP file in a CATProduct Greater visualization quality of U plug-in with suppression of some gaps between surfaces IDEAS MS9 support for indirect mode (Windows NT only) UG V18 support for indirect mode (Windows NT, AIX only) Multi-PDM VPM/CDM Plug-In Product is enhanced with the following: Define effectivities Save/replay expand criteria

4 Parent configuration analysis (on database) Child configuration analysis (on database) In addition, this plug-in is a key component of the ENOVIA 3d com VPM Web Client Configuration (V3C), which is a new ENOVIA 3d com configuration for ENOVIAVPM users. ENOVIA Enterprise Architecture Improved system performance for file read operations on the database through a new load balancing HTTP server architecture Added firewall crossing through new firewall tunneling feature CATIA-ENOVIA Work Package Exchange (5693-EW1, 5693-EW2): ENOVIA VPM 1.5 and V5 LCA users can now maximize collaborative design efficiency within the entire supply chain by using the new CATIA-ENOVIA Work Package Exchange products. The Exchange 2 product enables vendors to extract workspaces of data from their ENOVIA product definition and reconcile subsequent supplier modifications. With the Exchange 1 product, suppliers can complete design activities in the context of the work package and send the updates back to the vendor. Documentation is also available in PDF. Printing and browsing requires Adobe Acrobat Reader V3.0, or later. To download, visit: Licensing Model ENOVIA LCA V5 delivers identical licensing mechanisms on UNIX and Windows environments, based on LUM and on the UNIX license server, shareable across UNIX and Window clients. The following licensing principles apply: A license is required to use an ENOVIA V5 LCA product and if any, all the licenses for its prerequisite products. The use of a given configuration or product requires a license for it. Licenses are acquired and released for the total configuration. The products within a configuration cannot be broken up or shared outside of it. In all cases, licenses are acquired at the beginning of the process (login) and released at its termination (logout). ENOVIA LCA V5 products and configurations are offered only as concurrent usage network licenses. Using ENOVIAVPM V1.5 with ENOVIA and CATIA V5.10 Products ENOVIAVPM V1.5 customers who plan to interoperate with the V5.10 family of ENOVIA and CATIA products must install an ENOVIAVPM program temporary fix (PTF) to obtain the required interoperability level. (V5.10 Service Pack may also be required.) The required PTF could vary depending on whether the base level of the V5.10 product is used, or a subsequent service pack level. Check the V5.10 documentation for interoperability information or contact IBM Customer Support for specific details on PTF and Service Pack levels and how to obtain them, or visit: engineering/support Select Fixes, and tools on the left side. Planning Information Direct Customer Support: Direct customer support is provided under a PLM enhanced support contract. This fee service enhances your productivity by providing voice and electronic access to the PLM Support Center. The PLM help desk will answer questions pertaining to the installation, administration, use, and handling of suspected software defects for eligible products. For additional information about the enhanced support contract and other available PLM services offerings, visit: On the left side select Support, the PLM Technical Support Web site, Service and Support offerings, and expand Support Offerings. Note: DB2 UDB V7.2, delivered with this product, has its own support terms and conditions as announced for that product. For announcement details, refer to Software Announcement , dated April 24, This support is obtained via the Maintenance after License option of Passport Advantage

13 Media Feature Codes Environment: All platforms Feature Number: 3410 Distribution Medium: CD-ROM ENOVIA LCA V5 is available on CD-ROM only LCA SPO ENOVIA LCA V5 programs for all platforms (UNIX and Windows) will be shipped under the 5628-LCA SPO. The SPO is required for all program shipments and future updates. Initial orders placed for a program type 5691 without a corresponding order or MES for the 5628-LCA SPO will either fail order validation, or will not generate a media shipment. The SPO is designated to the processor on which the program type 5691 is licensed. Each customer number must have its own SPO. Initial Orders When ordering the first 5691-xxx configuration for ENOVIA LCA V5, an order must also be placed for the 5628-LCA SPO. Both the 5691-xxx program order and the SPO must be for the same CPU system type/system number, and have the same scheduled shipment date. Subsequent Licenses The SPO must have a feature number for every ENOVIA LCA V5 configuration that is installed or on-order. Therefore, when a configuration that was not previously installed is ordered, the SPO must be updated. To Update an On-Order System When a license for a new 5691 program is ordered for an on-order system, the 5628-LCA SPO must be updated to reflect the feature number of the licensed program desired. Also, for asset registration and billing purposes an order for the individual licensed program type 5691 is required. To Update an Installed System When a license for a new 5691 program is ordered for an installed system, the 5628-LCA SPO must be updated to reflect the feature number of the licensed program desired LCA SPO Feature Numbers The following no-charge program feature numbers are used with the 5628-LCA SPO to show which configurations and products are installed. This information is used for shipment of media. The maximum quantity of each of the features that may be specified is one for each of the 5691 programs. Program Feature Numbers for New Products Program Configuration or Feature Product Product Name Number Number ENOVIA Security ADR Administrator Configuration ENOVIA Casual CUR User Configuration ENOVIA Engineer EGR Configuration ENOVIA Professional MGR User Configuration Program Configuration or Feature Product Product Name Number Number ENOVIA System & RVR Data Administration Configuration ENOVIA PPR Hub ASH AS Adapter 6 ENOVIA Business BOH Reporting Interface 6 ENOVIA Engineering ECM Change Management ENOVIA EBOM Part & PAS Assembly Detailing ENOVIA EBOM Product PDC Definition & Configuration ENOVIA Program PGT Management ENOVIA Product PIM Interference Management ENOVIA Product PVM Variant Management ENOVIA PPR Hub SAH SA Adapter 6 ENOVIA PPR Hub DOH DO Adapter 6 ENOVIA Structures SPT Penetration Management ENOVIA Catalog CTM Management ENOVIA WorkFlow WFD Designer ENOVIA Action AED Editor 7 ENOVIA Document DMT Management 7 ENOVIA Supply Chain SCE Exchange 7 MultiCAx PD Plug-In PDL ENOVIA PPR PGW Hub Gateway 7 ENOVIA PPR Hub STH STEP Part 21 Adapter 7 6 Renamed 7 New for V5.10 Program Feature Numbers for Withdrawn Products Effective October 29, 2002, the following products are withdrawn: Program Configuration or Feature Product Product Name Number Number MultiCAx P Plug-In DPL SPO ENOVIA Manufacturing BOM MBP SPO ENOVIA Inter/Intra SDE SPO Enterprise Data Exchange Customization Options: Under the 5628-LCA SPO, select the appropriate feature numbers to customize your order to specify the delivery options desired.
