1 Release Notes New features in DigtaSoft Pro - version 6.5 Configuration with the DigtaSoft Configuration Center (DSCC) DigtaSoft Pro from version 6.5 works with a database driven user and resource management. This service is already included in the service contract free of charge. If the DSCC is installed, it imports the created users, dictation types and dictation groups from the "old" configuration files into the database and replaces the NetAdministration tool. Support for DigtaSoft Voice speech recognition Central Voice Transcriber (CVT) DigtaSoft Pro from version 6.5 works with (CVT) from version 6.5 for background voice recognition. DigtaSoft Voice vocabularies are also maintained in the DSCC. DigtaSoft Editor The trancscription service can now use the DigtaSoft Editor instead of Microsoft Word to correct the speech-recognized texts from the CVT. The DigtaSoft Editor provides reliable accompanying text marking during dictation playback. The corrected texts can be automatically transferred section by section into existing Word templates. 2 Further innovations in the DigtaSoft series - version 6.5 DigtaSoft One and DigtaSoft Pro Player status in the taskbar If the mouse pointer in the task bar is positioned on the icon of an open application such as Microsoft Word, a thumbnail image of the application and the file name are displayed. When the player/recorder is open, DigtaSoft also displays the symbol of the current recording, playback and rewind functions as well as the elapsed and total dictation time. This is helpful if DigtaSoft runs in the background, because e.g. the letter to be written takes up the whole screen in Microsoft Word. Audio file support DigtaSoft's workflow requires accompanying note information such as secretary or dictation worktype from the DSS header of the dictation files. There are other dictation systems that do not work with DSS, but pass this data to the audio file in an XML file of the same name. DigtaSoft converts such dictations into full DSSPro dictations during file import. Convertible formats are: WAV, *.wav MP3, *.mp3 MP4, *.m4a The dictation app "Dictate+Connect" recommended by Grundig Business sends the dictations with the appropriate XML file to the secretary's office by . DigtaSoft Pro Display of dictation data in the accompanying note In organisations that use the data list function in the Digta 7, e.g. to transmit patient data to dictations, the secretariats need this information to be displayed. Now the entries are not only displayed in the dictation list. A scrollable window with all dictation data in a clear display has been added to the dictation accompanying note. 3 Extended categories / Template selection When creating a new dictation, the Word template to be used for transcribing can be selected in the accompanying note with "Worktype" and "Category". In practice, there are often a large number of templates whose names are arranged according to departments or topics. Now a two-stage structure (cascading) of not only the worktypes but also the categories is possible. DigtaSoft Pro displays the subworktype or sub-category in the accompanying note and opens the assigned Word template at the workstation. Note: Digta 7 firmware V1.50/2.0 Build 192 or higher is required to use the functionality in Digta 7. DigtaSoft Voice Transcriber Add-In The update also includes the improved Word Add-In "DigtaSoft Voice Transcriber Add-In" version V6.5 ( ) in the "Tools & Drivers" directory. The accompanying text marking in speech-recognized dictations is now considerably better synchronized with the dictation playback. Standard writing programs OpenOffice and LibreOffice Writer DigtaSoft Pro now supports Microsoft Word and the text processing programs OpenOffice and LibreOffice Writer as standard writing programs and thus the file formats: *.odt, *.docx, *.doc, *.rtf, *.txt For standard text files *.txt as templates any application can be used. 4 Improvements on previous versions DigtaSoft Version 6.0 / 6.1 DssMover Dictation feature Speech recognition The DssMover is prepared with the function for evaluation of the new DSS header feature "for speech recognition". The DssMover can transfer the dictations from new devices with this feature directly to the DigtaSoft Voice speech recognition. NetAdministration Support of the DigtaSoft Configuration Center (DSCC) Version 6.1 of the NetAdministration Tool is pre-equipped for creation of users by means of the DigtaSoft Configuration Center configuration software. Bug fixes and improvements in version 6.0 DigtaSoft Pro will also start with incorrect Dragon configuration DigtaSoft Pro is now able to start with a background Dragon installation with incorrect configuration, for example if access to the user profiles is not possible. Enhanced recognition of dictation devices from other manufacturers The Digital Speech Standard (DSS) guarantees dictation compatibility with third party dictation devices. In case the dictation import from third party dictation devices option is activated, DigtaSoft 6.0 and the DssMover recognize the third party devices even after firmware update. Message in case of missing network localization During installation or modification of dictation networks it may happen that there is a wrong access path to the NetConfig.ini configuration file. In this case DigtaSoft is not able to localize the users' folders. Now DigtaSoft displays that there is No connection to the NetConfig.ini if this typical configuration error occurs.
