1 Sales force software DVDs September 30, 2016 Before you begin Complete and transmit all pending insurance applications to the corporate network via ET Web, with the exception of applications with a status of Prefilled. To ensure the new version of Insurance App installs successfully, after all the appropriate applications have been transmitted, close Insurance App, then re-open and close it once again. Re-opening the Insurance App ensures the status of your transmitted applications is updated. Complete or delete any pre-filled applications on the PC in the Guaranteed Investment Product App and, if you are mutual fund registered, in the Investment Fund Application. If you have pre-filled applications or investment directions on the SunVision Investment Application (SV i-app) no action is required. Restart your PC Close all open programs. From the Start menu, open the Shut down twistie and click Restart. Set aside approximately 1 hour to install the updates on these DVDs. Advisor Technology Support 1 September 30, 2016

2 Installation instructions Important! The September 30, 2016 Sales force software DVD distribution contains two DVDs. To begin the installations, insert DVD (1 of 2). If DVD (2 of 2) is required, Install manager will prompt you to insert it. If Install manager does not prompt you for DVD (2 of 2), all the required installation files were on DVD (1 of 2) and your software installed successfully. Install the sales force software 1. Place the September 30, 2016 Sales force software DVD (1 of 2) in the drive. 2. From your desktop, double-click Install manager and then follow the screen prompts. Important! When Install manager opens, ensure that the date displayed on the title bar is the same date as the date on the sales force software DVD. For example, if you are installing the September 30, 2016 Sales force software DVD (1 of 2), the Install manager title bar should display as. If the correct date does not display on the title bar, close Install manager, remove the DVD from the drive, and then repeat step 1. Before continuing with step 2, wait several seconds to ensure your PC has had time to read the DVD, prior to you opening Install manager. 3. When Install manager appears with the installations displayed, if: a web update was released between DVD distributions, the message A web update is available may re-appear. If you have already completed the web update, simply click OK. If you have not yet completed the web update, install it now. the installations appear. button appears, click it. Only your uninstalled all installations are not selected, to quickly select all installations, simultaneously press and hold the Ctrl and A keys. 4. To install the selected installations, click. 5. Read the screen prompts and accept any defaults by pressing Enter. 6. Once all installations are complete and your PC has restarted, close Install manager and remove the DVD from the drive. If your PC doesn t automatically restart after the final installation manually restart it. 3 After you ve installed the DVDs SunVision Financial Analyzer ensure you have an internet connection. If you were not connected to the internet during the installation of the Salesforce software DVD, you ll receive the following error message when you launch SVFA. Follow these steps to re-launch Financial Analyzer: 1. Close the error message. 2. Connect to the internet. 3. Re-launch Financial Analyzer. 4. On the ABC sign on page, sign in using your ABC access ID and password. A Warning! Message will briefly appear indicating User Preferences have been updated. SunVision Financial Analyzer connect to SVFA to update your user profile. Important! This is a new process for Financial Analyzer that needs to be completed each time Financial Analyzer is part of the Sales force software DVD release. The process requires users to connect after installing the Sales force software DVD to update their user profile. Going into Connected mode is a process required by Financial Analyzer to authenticate each user with the server. By going into Connected mode, your user profile is updated to allow you to access new features, functionalities and take advantage of fixes that have been applied to the software. If you encounter any issues with Financial Analyzer, we recommend that you complete the following steps prior to contacting SVFAHelp. To complete these steps, you will need your Advisor Business Centre (ABC) Access ID and password. To go into Connected mode and update your user profile with the server: 1. Open Financial Analyzer Presentations. 2. From Financial Analyzer, click the Select Client link to open the Client list page. 3. From the Client list page, in the Search panel on the right side, select Include Central clients and click Search. 4. From the Advisor Business Centre launch page, enter your Access ID and Password and then click Submit. 5. You are now in Connected mode. 6. From the Quick Actions menu, select Exit to leave Connected mode and exit the program. 7. Re-launch Financial Analyzer Presentations to apply your user profile. 5 SunVision Financial Analyzer 4.2 This release of SVFA corrects an issue with the automated refresh process that was discovered after installing the June 24, 2016 Sales force software DVD. The first time you run ET Web after installing this current DVD, the automated refresh process may take a little longer than usual to complete. Wealth sales concepts deletion Because the Wealth sales concepts presentations contain out-dated information, this deletion will remove these presentations from your desktop.
