Wilfried Berlin - Airbus T survey the requirements fr an end-user e-skills framewrk as articulated by industry, certifying rganisatins, and individuals and prpse practical tl sets derived frm such a framewrk. Researched the landscape and surveyed 100+ key individuals / rganisatins acrss 22 Eurpean cuntries Fur target grups HR, Training/Certificatin, Regulatry bdies, individuals

16 Key Results Flexibility required in terms f detail (high r medium level f required by mst) and a preference fr three prficiency levels (e.g. beginner, intermediate, advanced). Framewrk shuld be based n cmpetence and supprted by knwledge and skills. Mst ppular applicatins t include in the framewrk were: Wrd Prcessing, Spreadsheets, Presentatins, Web Brwsing, 81% stated that the framewrk was extremely imprtant, very imprtant r mderately imprtant. 76% are nt currently using any tls t address the needs the framewrk culd fulfil.

Validate the framewrk cnstruct, initial cntent and ptential tls with relevant stakehlders. 5. Cmmunicate the prject utputs.

21 CEN Definitins f e-cmpetence In bth prjects, the fllwing definitins applied End User e-cmpetence: The capabilities required fr effective applicatin f ICT systems and devices by the individual in either a wrk r persnal envirnment. Individuals apply systems as tls in supprt f their wn activities, which is, in mst cases, nt ICT. End user e- Cmpetences cver the utilisatin f cmmn generic sftware tls and the use f specialised tls supprting business functins. End user e-cmpetences vary in cmplexity frm intrductry up t an advanced usage level. End User e-cmpetence Framewrk: An end user e-cmpetence framewrk is a simplified cnceptual structure used t categrise and express end user e-cmpetence, t varius degrees f granularity, acrss prficiency level(s).

22 Sme cncluding thughts The definitin, breadth, and depth f digital cmpetences and the language assciated with them is cmplex and shifting Different user grups may have different requirements in terms f hw cmpetences are expressed and interrelated. Hwever, sme cmmn language and structure is required and pssible! Framewrks f cmpetences must be usable and flexible
