Rubber belt coveyor Dosimat feeder with dual drive Applicatio The Dosimat feeder is a accurate gravimetric proportioig device for bulk materials such as slag, limestoe, clay, gypsum, pozzolaa ad cemet cliker. The feeder extracts the materials from the feed bi ad proportios them i oe operatio. See Figure 3. A costat feed rate is maitaied by the Dosimat cotroller. Two or more feeders operatig i parallel, as show i Figure 7, are cotrolled so that the overall feed rate remais costat ad each feeder provides a cosistet share of the total feed. Desig The Dosimat feeder cosists of a suspesio frame, a statioary chute, a movable chute, a coveyor frame, a rubber or apro coveyor, a drive statio, a load cell arragemet ad a discharge casig. The suspesio frame icorporates a rod gate to eable closig the feed bi outlet for maiteace or tare weighig purposes. The rods may be activated by a peumatic hammer. See Figure 2. The side sectio, the movable chute ad the coveyor frame are pivotally suspeded from the statioary chute via two blade sprigs o either side ad two wire straps close to the discharge ed. Two load cells mouted betwee the suspesio frame ad the wire straps moitor the load of material ad the tare load of the coveyig system. See Figure 10. The sigals from the load cells pass to the Dosimat cotroller. Rubber belt coveyors are cleaed by a scraper blade fitted at the discharge ed of the coveyor ad apro coveyors by a separate spillage scraper flaged to the discharge casig. The spillage scraper is optioal. The discharge casig is floor mouted ad has o mechaical cotact with the coveyor frame. As a optio, the discharge casig may have a peumatically activated flap gate for check weighig purposes. The coveyor is drive by a shaft mouted gear uit ad as AC motor with frequecy coverter speed regulatio. See Figure 8. A hydraulic drive statio is optioal. The motor speed is moitored by a ecoder. Dosimat feeders with coveyor width up to 1000 mm are equipped with a sigle drive statio while feeders with wide coveyors have dual drive statios. See Figure 1. It also makes adjustmets for variatios i bulk desity. Automatic OLie calibratio of the Dosimat system ehaces feed accuracy ad product quality by reducig chemical variatios. This optio etails placig the feed bi o three load cells. Techical advatages All cotiuous weigh feeders are exposed to radom errors ad bias. The desig of the Dosimat feeder makes bias the domiat source of error ad this may be elimiated by OLie calibratio. The accuracy of cotiuous rubber belt weigh feeders is ormally cosidered sesitive to belt tesio. The Dosimat feeder equipped with a rubber belt coveyor has bee desiged to elimiated this sesitivity. Traditioally, cotiuous weigh feedig of coarse or sticky/ abrasive materials has required a two stage solutio cosistig of a apro extractor ad a weighig belt. The Dosimat feeder with apro coveyor is desiged to hadle such materials i a uique sigle stage operatio. The apro coveyor is more abrasio resistat tha the rubber belt ad the frictio betwee the apro plates ad the sticky materials esures smooth operatio. Side guards o the apro coveyor plates eable fully utilisig the etre width of the coveyor.
