The camera has excellet dyamic rage ad operates at a data rate of up to 5MHz. The CL-C cameras uses DALSA s pateted modular architecture. This system of coectig circuit modules through stadardized busses allows DALSA to build a high performace modular camera usig the reliability, flexibility, ad cost-effectiveess of high-volume iterchageable parts. Withi the CL-C6 camera, a driver board provides bias voltages ad clocks to the CCD image sesor, a timig board geerates all iteral timig, ad a A/D board processes the video ad digitizes it for output. 2 CL-C6 Lie Sca Cameras For product iformatio ad updates visit Sesor The liear array cosists of a lie of 2048 TURBO- SENSOR photoelemets, each with a photosesitive area of 3µm x 500µm ad a ceter to ceter spacig of 3µm. Figure shows a block diagram of the IL-C sesor. Photogeerated sigal electros are collected i the photoelemets durig the itegratio period, which is the iterval betwee successive pulses of the EXSYNC clock whe exposure cotrol is disabled. Exposure ca be further reduced usig the PRIN (pixel reset) sigal. For iformatio o the IL-C sesor please see its datasheet (documet ). Operatio Power Supplies Cameras provide optimum performace usig wellregulated liear supplies. The power supply requiremets idicated below are adequately overrated to accommodate all models ad operatig coditios. Voltage Curret Draw Notes +5V 500mA Specified at 25ºC ambiet. +5V 2000mA -5V 400mA -5V 000mA Tolerace for all supplies: ± 50mV <5mV ripple. Optical Iterface The CL-C provides a adapter for a Niko F type bayoet les mout. This mout threads ito a opeig i the camera s frot plate, ad is optically aliged to provide the proper back focal distace betwee F-type les ad sesor. The threaded hole ca also be used to provide custom optical mouts. Electrical Iterface All of the CL-C6 s coectors are o its rear plate. Power ad cotrol sigals are iput ad output from the DB25 coector. Digital data ad data clockig sigals are provided o 20- or 40-pi coectors usig the RS422 stadard for data trasmissio. The BNC coector provides a aalog video referece for the A ad T models. Iput Cotrol Sigals The stadard CL-C6 requires oly oe iput sigal to operate. The lie trasfer clock EXSYNC is required oce each lie to trigger lie readout. Note that for optimum performace, the CL-C6 uses a iteral oscillator to cotrol all iteral timig, icludig pixel rate. The camera does ot ormally accept a exteral MCLK sigal. Cotact DALSA if you wat to supply MCLK. Cotrol sigals are differetial, requirig complemets deoted with a B suffix (e.g. EXSYNC, EXSYNCB). EXSYNC EXSYNC is a required user-supplied iput sigal which cotrols lie rate ad exposure time. Without a EXSYNC iput, the camera will ot output data. The camera itegrates from the risig edge of EXSYNC to the ext risig edge of EXSYNC. EXSYNC should ot be clocked faster tha the camera s specified maximum lie rate. Miimum frequecy is 300Hz. Note that maximum data rate i biig mode is half that of ormal mode. For the CL-C6, BIN is active i logic HIGH.
