1 E-Ticket Merge Why is e-ticket Merge no longer going to be supported? As part of the launch of new functionality for the printing of supporting accounting documentation for e-tickets and Virtual Miscellaneous Charges Orders (VMCO) on the 25th February 2013, the primary function of e-ticket Merge software will now be processed automatically by Pro Printer. Amadeus Pro Printer is a window based tool that enables the printing of all tickets and documents delivered by the Amadeus Central System. Previously Pro-Printer would break each individual page of a document into separate text files. For single page documents this was never a problem. However, for longer items such as e-ticket Itinerary Receipts (ITR) or Travel Itineraries which could run over multiple pages this would result in a separate file being created for each page. The E-ticket Merge application was therefore created to overcome this by being able to collate multiple pages of saved as file document into a record. As the current version of Pro-Printer (5.1P260.1) will now automatically be able to group multiple pages of a saved as file document into one file without the need for e-ticket Merge. There is therefore no longer a requirement for the function which e-ticket Merge was designed for once the new supporting accounting documents for e-tickets and VMCO has been launched at the end of February Where will my Saved as file documents be stored instead? Pro Printer output files will continue to be stored in the same directory and folder as has previously been specified by customers when using e-ticket Merge. Will Pro-Printer add a naming convention to the Output files like E-Ticket Merge? The output files which Pro Printer generates will not follow the naming convention which e-ticket Merge used. This was an additional by product of e-ticket merge. The principle purpose of e-ticket Merge was to collate multiple Pro Printer output files into one single record, which is an action Pro Printer can now process automatically. What will the Pro printer output files look like when saved to file on a drive? Pro Printer output files will be labelled using a plain text format instead (see example below)

2 Can I still retrieve saved as file documents even though the passenger name no longer used to name the file? Yes. As these are text files it is actually possible to search for a particular file using the standard operating system search function from within the folder that they are located in. Example (Using Microsoft Windows7) Search Box: Type in the search criteria you wish to apply. In this example the passenger name and the 3 letter IATA city code CPT for Cape Town has been used. Then click on File Contents to search the drive for any files which contain Smith/John Mr CPT. Search Results are returned. 3 Will e-ticket Merge still function? It will still process Pro Printer output files, however, it will no longer be able to apply the same naming convention as it currently does (up until 24 th February 2013) The new supporting accounting documents have been enhanced to include additional items of information previously which customers had requested. These include incorporating the full agent sign and IT (Inclusive Tour)/BT (Bulk Tour) fare information on agent coupons. This has resulted in a slight change in layout to the supporting documents which in turn means that e-ticket Merge will no longer able to apply the naming conventions as it currently can. Please click here to view examples of the new supporting accounting document formats as they will look after the migration date at the end of February. We use our own locally developed graphical search tool to retrieve these files using the naming convention e-ticket Merge applies will this still work? E-ticket Merge will no longer be able to apply the current naming convention (passenger name, ticket number and date) to documents saved as file. Therefore for any application that searches by file name to locate documents may be required to be updated so that it searches by file content instead rather than file name. Pro Printer output files will continue to be stored in the same directory and folder as has previously been specified by customers when using e-ticket Merge.

4 Amadeus Pro Printer What version of Pro Printer do I require? The Current Version of Pro Printer is required to merge output files automatically which is 5.1P260.1 How do I check which version of Pro Printer I have? Amadeus Pro Printer Software is stored on a drive in your office in a folder. Locate the folder on the PC where Pro Printer is installed: Click on the Amadeus Folder Click on the Pro Printer Folder Click on Amadeus Pro Printer Configurator Wait for the initialization pop up to complete and disappear

5 In the resulting Amadeus Pro Printer Configurator pop up click on the Question Mark icon The About Amadeus Pro Printer pop up displays the version number in the installed Packages section To close after viewing just click on the button in the right hand corner of the pop ups What should I do if I need to Upgrade My version of Pro Printer? If you have a lower version of Pro Printer and wish to save Pro Printer out puts to file in the first instance please contact your Amadeus Account Manager.
